It was my first time here and I just wanted some coffee for my doughnuts. I ordered the 'bee sting' which is espresso, honey, and almond milk. I'm not a fan of espresso by itself but when it's mixed, it's truly worth going for. The bee sting was amazing, the first taste and the last taste all made my tongue taste like honey while the middle notes just tasted like coffee with cream and sugar. It was so good. Even the bees were after the honey, so you know it's good honey! My friend got regular drip coffee - not really a coffee person but he said that the drip coffee was good. North fork roasting is so over the top cute, charming and eco-friendly that you almost want to not like it but they won me over with an inventive menu, delicious coffee and friendly service. We walked in not sure if we had arrived at an antique store, someone's house or a restaurant- but the sever upfront welcomed us in and told us to sit "anywhere". That has a different meaning at North Fork Roasting Company from other typical restaurants. We had our choice of a well-worn couch, side table for two, "comfortable" love seat in the other room or outside picnic table. We opted for the picnic table after we ordered our food with the cashier and waited for it to be delivered to us. A lovely woman (possibly the cook?) brought our food out and we thoroughly enjoyed the smashed avocado with pastrami salmon on toast and the fresh and generously sized acai bowl. Paired with our iced coffees we were satiated and happy. While we were most comfortable sitting outside- the "charm" of sitting on old upholstered furniture has yet to lure me in-- we will definitely come back to try more of the yummy fare. read more

This is the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop I've ever seen. I love their dirty chai and their mocha, and I regularly stop in for a huge bag of coffee for at-home caffeine needs. Their baked goods are heavenly, and they have a great food menu as well. Their veggie chili is killer- comes with a runny egg, avocado and cornbread. (I'm drooling.) The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, super chill. I've spent hours writing, reading, catching up with friends. They don't rush you out. Biggest plus, for me, is that they're dog-friendly and the owners' dogs are there almost all the time! Usually, they're busy looking for food, but I have read the local paper while Sinatra snored next to me on a couch. If you're not comfortable eating with a dog staring at you or having to kick a dog out of the bathroom (with amazing mermaid wallpaper!) when you need to use it, maybe this isn't your place. I've never made use of the outdoor area, but it is beautiful and they have live music on nice Sundays in the summer. read more

Uber cool coffee house. Great drinks and pastries made on premises. This place rocks ! Every Brooklyn hipster would be jealous to not have one down the street. Thankfully, it's far away from Brooklyn- on the beautiful North Fork of Long Island. The whole place is an actual house- with a living room, records room, porch, and a garden (a kitchen too, of course). Even the bathroom is super cool with its nautical theme ! Sit inside or outside- the ambiance and decor make you feel like you're in a movie! Super cozy. Someone suggested this place looks like Central Perk, but I think it's way cooler than that! Noforoco deserves its glowing reputation for many reasons: the excellent coffee, the tea (yes, they have 25 kinds of loose leaf!) the food (baked goods as well as savoury dishes like sandwiches, breakfast burritos, & soups--all made on the premises), the cozy atmosphere (lovely outdoor seating in warm weather; fireplace going in the winter), and the people who work there. The praise for North Fork Roasting is not exaggerated. I'm a Brooklyn boy who was out east for a wedding, and the Saturday morning I was there I was looking for breakfast and a good cup of coffee. Everyone working at NFRC was friendly, including the boss who apparently writes the checks, Sinatra. Now, it is possible I was getting special treatment because I was in a tuxedo, but the all the locals seems to be happy and enjoying themselves, so I can only assume NFRC delivers the charm and the caffeine every day. I will, however, continue to believe that the lovely lady who made my waffle egg bacon sandwich (and who threw me a compliment on my wedding attire) took extra care in it's preparation so that I would still look clean when I did my groomsman thing. read more

Had to wait over 20 minutes at 11:00 AM on a Tuesday for a simple order of a latte and a bag of coffee. The place was clearly understaffed with only one worker behind the counter. She was a bit rude, offering no apology for the wait. Even stranger getting a bag of coffee seemed to be a big ordeal- someone from the kitchen needed to run downstairs weigh the coffee, grind it, and bag it... you would think that a coffee roaster would have bags of coffee ready to go on the shelf! Bad set up/poor management... I'm all for supporting local business, but they need to get their act together. You can't charge Manhattan prices and then offer country bumpkin service... read more

Very cool and cute little spot in Southold. It's a super relaxed and chill scene and if it's any indication of what's happening in the area, the hipsters have discovered the North Fork. I only stopped in quickly for a coffee, but they impressed me immediately with their setup, their pleasant/helpful service and the fact that they use ice cubes made of coffee for the iced coffee. Brilliant! I saw a couple people with food that looked pretty tasty, as well. Next time I'm in, will definitely make a point of eating there, too. read more

Ah Coffee, one of the few things that will get me out of bed without an alarm. I came upon this magical place while returning from vacation. I had tried the Sumatra coffee blend, it was one of the best dark roasted coffee I've had. The atmosphere was great for sitting and enjoying your coffee with a book. I almost forgot! Really good coffee but slower than molasses and weird, unfriendly, aloof staff. Usually when you walk into a small business and say hi, the owner/staff are congenial and friendly but not here, they ignore you and wallow in their own ineffectual mediocrity. They didn't have breakfast muffins and food until 11/12 o'clock am a couple days because it wasn't ready --- by that time who is going to buy them. And one day at 8am they rolled out small, stale chocolate chip cookies as breakfast food (!!) If you are overwhelmed by a couple of people ordering coffee --- my advice is not to open a business. Don't see this place lasting which is sad cause there aren't that many good coffee shops and their coffee is really good. Aldo's is much better. read more

I usually am very open to trying new cafes, but North Fork Roasting Co blew it. My wife and I stopped in to get Acai bowls (our new favorite midday snack) and they took forever!! An item that takes 10 minutes tops to prepare took them over 30 minutes. Not only that, but while we are waiting a dog came out from the kitchen and stared licking dirty dishes that were in the bus bin...you won't see me there anytime soon read more

Thanks to the Yelp community, I found this fabulous coffee bar a few days ago. Was back early this morning to surprise my mother and daughter with coffee in bed. My daughter loves the chai latte and I have been dreaming about their specially-brewed iced coffee. Goes great with pastries from the Bird Duck bakery, just a few doors down. Now, I am enjoying my coffee and blueberry scone from the back deck of the Soundview hotel, as the waves gently roll onto the shore. Life is good! read more

I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and a cappuccino. My wife had the dirty chai and yogurt granola. I had to get a dirty chai to go because it was so fantastic. absolutely adore this coffee shop. it's the most coziest place i've ever been besides my own bed! the staff are extremely pleasant and want nothing but your happiness. you can tell everything they make is with a whole lot of love. every time i come i get the dirty chai and it NEVER disappoints. my husband gets the grilled cheese every time and doesn't stop talking about it until we go get another one! and to top it all off the dog Sinatra is THE CUTEST EVER :-) I don't know how anyone could ever give this place under 5 stars. read more
