Love love love this restaurant, granted we have only been there for breakfast but every time it has been amazingly delicious. They have fancy coffee drinks, spicy and tasty Bloody Mary's, and all the best breakfast choices from huevo rancheros, to eggs Benedict and everything in between. Not impressed. Had breakfast. Asked for ham in my omelette and didn't get any. Didn't see hardly any mozzarella cheese. Tons of vegetables. I think they gave me the wrong omelette. This place was recommended to me as a must for breakfast so I popped in at noon before my dive looking for a light lunch Such a cute place with very nice atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. When I saw the Lobster Tamales on the menu, I knew I had to have it, but was told they ran out as it is their signature dish so everyone orders it. Fair enough! So I opted for a salad with chicken, which was good, but it came in a bowl that was so packed in that I couldn't mix my salad properly lol! Nonetheless, I came back the next morning with a friend in hunt of the Lobster Tamales again. And again, they didn't have it anymore (the friend I was with, had something with shrimps there the day before and said it didn't taste fresh. She didn't get sick though fortunately and I convinced her to go bk for the tamales and give them a second chance, so imagine how disappointed we both were lol!!!) We ended up ordering the chilaquiles and the huevos rancheros that tasted exactly the same... so over all, I'd say it was an ok experience in term of food. Otherwise, everything else is excellent as my friend attested that their green juice is delicious. This is my first time in la isla and when I came to this place for the first time I fall in love. The place is so cute, the energy is incredible, all the staff is amazing and the food is delicious! North Garden is a sister restaurant to Garden, just a hundred or so feet further from the beach. North Garden seems to be open for breakfast and lunch only. Garden opened at 4 for dinner, which is where we actually ate. Terrific food, and really good cocktails. The Garden setting is really pleasant, too, with plenty of shade and greenery, and a few water features. Ismael was friendly and very helpful with recommendations for places to visit on the rest of our trip. We sampled three types of tacos between the three adults; tikin xic (a Mayan style fish), shrimp and brisket. All were really good, though the brisket was top notch. Good off-menu options for the niños. Ours had really good chicken strips battered with the same breading as the shrimp. read more

Our server, Victor, was extremely thoughtful, helping us with ordering, checking in with us and even noticed a slightly uneven table and fixed it immediately. Top notch service truly. The bloody mary was actually just okay, nothing mind blowing but definitely nowhere near bad. The tacos were good as well as the seafood. I got the pecan Benedict. I chose a salad instead of potatoes because I can't stand the potatoes every single place serves with breakfast on the island. The dressing tasted like straight honey and I did not care for it. Pretty much just pushed it around my plate. I didn't eat the bacon on the Benedict either because it was chewy and I only like crunchy bacon. The portion was small and I left hungry. I paid way too much to leave hungry. I also bought a coffee to go which they only filled halfway. I did not like the short face shields that the staff were wearing, I would have felt much safer had they been wearing masks. I won't return. Certainly not for breakfast. Two stars because the OJ was good and the Benedict was pretty good besides being cold. I just wish the biscuits were a bit bigger as I had lots of leftover egg yolk and hollandaise sauce on my plate. read more

We went for lunch on our last day and I wish we had gone earlier because I would have come back. This place is SO cute. We were greeted and sat immediately for lunch. We hadn't had a lot of​ breakfast so we were all hungry. The server started telling us about drinks but I stopped him when he said Pineapple Jalapeno​ margaritas. The best-tasting​ margarita I've​ ever tasted. So fresh, not too spicy, not too sweet. For lunch, I had the Seafood Canoe, which if you look at the images on​ this page, you'll see a giant pineapple. It is a halved​ pineapple, cooked with onions and peppers a TON of seafood and cheese. It was heaven on earth. Everyone else I had ordered tacos and loved them just as much. During our 6 day trip we went to North Garden 5 times. We had breakfast once in the restaurant and three times from the bakery. We had dinner one night. The dinner restaurant is in a different Location from the breakfast and lunch spot. It's about 300 feet down the street on the same side of the street. The bakery is in the middle between the two restaurant locations. Both locations have a nice tropical vibe. The food was excellent and unique. read more
