Service: our server was AMAZING! She definitely was very detailed oriented and went above and beyond to ensure our allergy folks in our party of 11 were taken care of. She told kitchen multiple times to please be careful and when food came out she rushed over to over our table to make sure our allergen people had the right plate. The unfortunate part, we did have a party of 8 adults and three 1 yr olds so food took an hr and 2 minutes to come out. Food: the food was tasty and delicious but a smidge between the cold and warm side (assuming from food not getting to us in over an hr). In the photos I show some of the plates ordered. (Not all shown as multiple people got the same plate) overall everyone was pleased with the TASTE of the food. Ambiance: very gorgeous and clean. Good vibes, calm and elegant. We sat in the patio section in the middle of summer and it was nice and cool. Can't feel the heat. Bathroom: located inside the restaurant. They were clean-ish. Water splashed on the counters and floors but over clean. Location: this restaurant is located in a beautiful new shopping area on Riverton, UT. The shopping center is called Mountain View Village and they had tons of shopping and food options within walking distance. Appetizers: we ordered the zucca chips which are not shown in photos but are zucchini chips. They were cooked in soy oil and served with a pesto sauce which was to die for! The zucca chips were paper thin and crunchy they just melt In your mouth. The pesto sauce was AMAZING it had a kick in the end with lemon taste. Allergen: soy, tree nuts. They don't use peanuts in anything but be mindful of soy and tree nuts. My husband has a tree nut and peanut allergy. My niece has a soy and peanut allergy and we were all good. I went here on a Thursday afternoon with my husband and our two little ones, and it was such a great experience. It wasn't busy at all we almost had the whole place to ourselves, which made it really relaxing. I loved that they offered the kids an electronic drawing pad. It was such a neat touch and kept them entertained the whole time (honestly made me want one for myself too!). For appetizers, I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the soup of the day both were delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the spicy rigatoni with added chicken, and my husband got the Lumache alla Norcina. We also got a pepperoni pizza for the kids. Everything came out great and was full of flavor. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! read more

I finally tried North Italia for dinner last night, and it was my first time there. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was a 10/10 so delicious and definitely a must try. For our entrées, we ordered the Strozzapreti pasta 9/10 and the Prime New York Tagliata cooked medium rare 10/10 Both dishes were amazing, and I would absolutely order them again. After we paid for dinner, I noticed almost every table ordering this ice cream dessert that looked incredible. When our waitress came back, I asked what it was called. She said it was the Brookie Sundae, so of course I ordered one. She put the order in around 6:50PM and even brought us our spoons.Then we waited...And waited...7:15 PM... still waiting. I noticed the manager checking in with several tables to ask how their meals and experience were, but they never stopped by ours.So we kept waiting.By 7:30 PM, we still hadn't received the dessert. At that point, I didn't even want it anymore, so we decided to leave.Overall, the food was fantastic, and I'd definitely come back. Just be aware that dessert might take 30 minutes or longer, so if you're planning to order one, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Hopefully, it was just an off night! read more

Sometimes it's hard to get excited about a new chain restaurant however this definitely will change your mind! The spicy vodka pasta is delicious. Menu is pricey so keep that in mind. The service was top notch from Dalyn and he had excellent recommendations. We find it very rare in Utah you get to complement water quality at any restaurant but this place was an exception they must have a R/O system better than even Starbucks. We ordered the chicken scarpariello and every piece was some of the juiciest most flavorful chicken I've ever had. My wife ordered the Lumache alla norcina and that is one of the best pastas we've ever had the flavors were incredible and the Italian sausage wasn't dried out or too greasy. The truffle sauce was to die for in this dish. You can tell they hand make all their noodles fresh daily. You won't find a better fresh Italian restaurant than this. You get what you pay for so don't get caught up in Olive Garden pricing this place is quality vs all you can eat bread. The ambiance is fun as well with real flowers dim light and a very romantic atmosphere. We definitely will be celebrating more evenings together at this place and are looking forward to trying their brunch menu as well. read more

We called and booked a reservation for day of for a party of 12. The host was amazing and helped get us in to celebrate a last minute birthday. We arrived and were quickly sat down at our table. I eat at the North Italia in plano Texas with my family a lot since I live in Frisco, Texas. This Utah restaurant is amazing and the quality of food and service is outstanding. I believe people in Utah are so used to fast food, they don't recognize food and service quality like we do in North Texas. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Utah, more so than Tuscany, where my Utah condo is located. I am shocked this is in Riverton, but love this place. read more

Went back to North Italia last night for a work team dinner. We got there around 7pm, it was a group of 5 people. Right off the bat, the waiter seemed really nervous to serve us for some reason- very timid. So we ordered our appetizers and she definitely forgot to put 1 of the appetizers in. When we asked about the bread, she thought we wanted more bread on top of the white truffle bread we were missing and gave us sliced white bread with olive oil. Secondly, I think she also forgot to put in our entrees because the manager came and chatted with us, which he didn't do to other tables. I got a pasta last time and it was delicious! This time, I wanted to try a pizza. I was pretty disappointed. I think because she forgot to put our food in, they rushed to make it so my pizza was so dry and overcooked. I don't think I've ever wanted more grease on a pizza before, but that would have made this pizza better. I'll come back again but was disappointed of what a difference it was from the first to second time. We ended up leaving around 9:30pm so it was about a 2 and a half hour dinner. read more

This was my third visit to North Italia, and I wanted to share my experience in sequence. Our first visit during opening week was excellent--the food was fresh and flavorful, especially the eggplant parmigiana, which we loved. Two weeks later, we returned. While our server was new but pleasant, the food quality had noticeably declined. The eggplant parmigiana lacked the flavor we previously enjoyed, the chicken pesto was just average, and the braised short rib Marsala was decent but nothing special. We spent close to $200 and left feeling disappointed. Hoping for a better experience, we gave the restaurant another try last night. Unfortunately, most of the dishes fell flat again. The highlights were the Margherita pizza, spicy rigatoni vodka, and the calamari fritti--they were all very good. However, the eggplant parmigiana was overwhelmingly spicy and lacked the depth of flavor it once had. The chicken pesto had an unusual, cake-like texture and was nearly flavorless. A dish our daughter previously loved--the tortelloni al pomodoro--tasted completely different and much less flavorful this time. We boxed it up but it ended up throwing it away. While the service has consistently been great and the staff attentive, there seems to be inconsistency or a lack of direction in the kitchen. North Italia is a beautiful restaurant, and I truly hope they succeed, but based on the declining food quality, I can no longer justify spending more in hopes of a better experience. read more

My wife and I had a late lunch here ahead of a movie at the nearby cinema. We both had the Bolognese pasta and it was wonderful. We got a side of garlic bread which was great and it was a cold day so I had a hot chocolate - which hit the spot. Two entrées, one bread, one hot chocolate plus tax and tip put it over $80 for lunch. We've always loved North Italia in Riverton, but our most recent visit on June 30th truly set a new standard for hospitality, thanks to the incredible manager Melissa and our wonderful server Sadie M. We had a reservation for a party of 7 at 7:00 pm, but due to how busy the restaurant was (understandable for such a popular spot), we weren't seated until 7:45. Melissa was so apologetic about the delay and worked tirelessly to get us settled as soon as possible. Her genuine concern and attention made all the difference! Even after we were seated, Melissa personally brought us extra water, even though Sadie had already taken care of us--such a thoughtful touch. To make up for the wait, Melissa generously treated our entire party to free desserts and even discounted a few of our entrées. It was above and beyond anything we expected. Sadie M was also fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We've been to North Italia before, and it's quickly become one of our favorite new restaurants in the area. After this experience, it's safe to say it will remain at the top of our list. This place is pretty hyped up, so it was already at a disadvantage for me. My friends have been to these restaurants in other states and talked about how amazing it was. I think the food was solid, but as many other reviews have stated, not worth the cost. I had the pesto chicken and garlic bread, and was left very full but not impressed. I don't love spending my money on something I can make just as well at home, and this place was that for me. The ambience and waitstaff were great though! We all got different menu items and felt the same way. The seasonal butter cake was worth the price though! Tiramisu was mid. There are better places for a lot less money, in my opinion. read more

The service from start to finish was amazing- we even had a few other servers check in on us after our server took our drink orders (just to make sure someone had seen us). The restaurant is nicely set up for business lunches, small groups or date night. It's a great space! The menu had a good variety of options for everyone. The food was delicious! Dayln (our server) was super friendly and helpful with the menu suggestions and just went above and beyond for us. We will ALWAYS ask for him when we come back. We also got to speak with the general manager (Collin) and you can absolutely tell that he takes pride in this restaurant and making sure every area from service to food is hitting the high note. It took about 45 minutes from order to get our food. Food was good, not sure it was worth the price. If you order pasta that's what you get, no side salad or bread. The service was good until my husband's entre came out and it was the wrong one. The server was sweet and apologized and said they would make my husband the right one. We all had our food and were eating except for him. My daughter wanted to try his & the server started to take it away. She said the manager will charge us for the dish if she tries it! Literally, I've never had a restaurant take a dish back ever! It's a nice courtesy to leave it especially since I'm sure they will hopefully throw it away anyway. So, it took 15 min to get his correct dish and we were all done eating. Our little boy got the meatball sliders. The fries were cold and the buns. The meatballs very dry. I got the eggplant Parmesan as an entre and it was really salty(and I love salt, but this was too much). The server said she would bring out a free dessert to my husband for our trouble, but after waiting a while, only brought out a gift card for one. Really not our kind of place. If you're looking for California chic and want to pay a lot then it was decent enough. I'm not going to say it was the worst ever, just not us. The spicy rigatoni was okay, pasta a bit chewy. Sauce very flavorful. The salad, seasonal vegetables, was very nice, just not much at 17 dollars. Again, not a terrible place, the server was nice. While waiting for dessert which was nice, but 20 minutes for a lemon cake was crazy. The table next to us had a pizza that did look well made but there are multiple other options and cheaper.
