The second time we went, it was still slow but the counter help was much more helpful, attentive, and I watched her serve several hot meals while we waited for our goods. I thought that was odd, given that that's the one thing we had just purchased from him and getting it replaced was why I walked back up there. I told him it was, and he just said, "$6.95 please." I paid him again, no tip this time, but I won't be going back. Legally and economically, he did nothing "wrong," but from a customer service standpoint, that was not a smart thing to do. The loss of one dollar in ingredients could have been an investment into a relationship, into a repeat customer, but instead he got his $6.95 as a customer severance package.
