Loved this place!! Though this location is not dedicated gluten-free, I believe their main facility where they bake everything is? My husband had a normal breakfast sandwich, and I had a gluten-free one. We were comparing the textures and consistencies, and they looked pretty close. Best gluten-free ciabatta I've ever had, though I've never had gluten-free ciabatta before lol. Texture was soft and fluffy, and didn't fall apart in your hands as you were eating it. Coffee and Matcha were very tasty, but slightly not warm enough. Overall, a great experience though. I ended up buying a couple of pastries to go, which all were gluten-free. There was a large selection in their Bakery case of all gluten-free items. Some dairy free Options too. One of the pastries I ended up taking back home with me to Florida and it held up. It was an almond cake. Though I had it in my bag and it completely fell apart. It was still super soft and delicious several days later! Definitely the spot to go if you are gluten-free! read more

Great spot for a quick bite - toasts, pastries, chia, etc - plus amazing coffee. My personal favorite spot in Fairbanks. They have a wide variety of house made flavors that always elevate the coffee. Additionally, their cinnamon roll is the best I've ever had. So treat yourself. Ok I was suspicious when I heard gluten free but honestly the muffins here were amazing. I'm used to gluten free being a little dry like cardboard, but these muffins were so moist I had no idea they were gluten free. I had the apple streusel (my favorite) and there were chunks of juicy apple in it, it was so good! I also got an orange cranberry muffin which was still good the next day. Cute little spot, great for an easy breakfast or lunch. Was craving a salad and their Sweetheart Salad was so good. Their quiche bites are more like frittata bites since they have no crust but are yummy and were served warmed up. Our kiddos liked the waffle since you can choose your toppings. I got a spiced chai which was a little light in flavor for me, maybe I would have liked the Portland Chai better. Their baked items and cupcakes looked delish too... I ordered a 20 oz. Bluebird smoothie on Saturday May 16, 2026 around 2pm at the Little Owl Cafe on Westwood Way. I also ordered 2 Tuscan Turkey sandwiches, both on a Ciabatta roll. The sandwiches tasted really good, but when I got my drink, it was a 16 oz. instead of a 20 oz. I decided to let that slide even though I paid $7.25 for the drink. The problem came when I took a sip. It wasn't even tolerable!! After having both of my adult sons try it, they had the same feeling that I did. It was DISGUSTING!!! It tasted like Chai, blueberries, and A LOT of water!!! It is supposed to be blueberries, banana, coconut milk, and cinnamon. When I mentioned it to the young ladies at the counter, I was told that I got exactly what I ordered and that it is impossible to mess up since there are only 4 ingredients. I mentioned that I had ordered this particular drink before, but they insisted that I was given the drink that I had ordered. They didn't offer to remake it, or even offer an apology. I know I am only one person, and maybe it doesn't matter to them, but I WON'T be going back! Such a cute place! Definitely check it out, it's hard to know where to go when you are not from here and you have limited time, yet can only eat and drink so much in that time. We came on a Tuesday morning and there were two people working at tables with laptops and one guy sitting by the fireplace. We ordered a 16oz mocha and a 16oz iced cold brew. Also got a granola tart, it was delicious, so good and fresh. Had a bed of granola cooked, like a tart, topped with yogurt and blackberries and blueberries. Just a snack but it was great. I think the owner was there, not sure but she was nice. Seemed to be her cafe. Which was cutely decorated with owls. Was up visiting from Anchorage and have been in search of a place to get a sugar fix since I was diagnosed with a Gluten Sensitivity. This place has the best muffins, even better than the non gluten free ones I have had before. A little pricey for me but worth it big time!! I had to even go back and get some for the road. Clean, great prices and plenty of great tasting options. The owner has celiac so almost everything can be modified to be gluten free, vegan, dairy free or more. This is the place to go if you want lots of healthy options, or have dietary restrictions. You won't get bored by the number of items on the menu, and the tastes won't disappoint. Portion sizes are reasonable and will fill you up, for a fair price. Great for kids and adults, plenty of small tables inside. Not waited tables. Casual and fun inside with little merchandise to buy. I haven't been able to have a cinnamon roll in 2 years since I was diagnosed celiac. When I walked in and saw that ALL the wonderful looking cakes and cookies were GF i was almost overwhelmed with all the possibilities. When I saw the cinnamon rolls though, there was no choice to be had. It was soooo worth it. They warmed it for me to the perfect temp for that goooey middle to be perfect consistency and taste was absolutely perfect. I loved this place! So I am visiting Fairbanks for the weekend and my hotel room did not have anything to cook food with, meaning I struggled to eat as a celiac girl. I've been living on protein bars and chips. I found this place on my find my GF app and I am so so happy I did. The waffle is delicious and yes the berries were a little cold but it's really good on the hot waffle, the lemon cookie was bomb, and the cranberry orange bar was to die for! It may be on the sweeter side for some but if you have a sweet tooth and want something to satisfy your craving this will absolutely answer the call! Main things that make this spot great: Outstanding ambiance! Very artsy, lots of white, you'll think you're in the PacNW. Outstanding prices! Cheaper than most coffee stands up here, and with much better-quality food! My only quibble is that drip coffee isn't served in glassware (paper cups) and there isn't a refill station. AMAZING gluten free options for food both breakfast and lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at the celiac friendly options (although of course nothing is guaranteed). Food is very reasonably priced. The service was very efficient and friendly. It is a small cafe so it's not full service; you order at the counter and they call your name or bring your food to a table you're sitting at. You bus your own table. Which makes total sense for a place like this- no complaints there! It is a rather small cafe with limited seating and a lot of people wanted to eat there. Really lacking Try's to be a quaint coffee pastry shop, but no clear understanding of where the menu is , then once they tell you, and we order a waffle, and coffee, it comes to you with hot waffle great, but 1 really cold wrapped pad of butter and 1 really cold plastic smalllll cup of syrup, , so now not enough syrup, and it's making my waffle cold.... Why do they put syrup in plastic cups, let me have some room temperature syrup and let ke use however much I need, and do you think maybe when you open the door in morning's you could take out a few pad of butter to warm up for the day...... so never again, sorry this is a big miss for me read more

Little owl Café is my go to study place for school or a one on one meeting with a friend. It's cute quiet, and they have delicious tea. There is so many options for tea and I love how they're all open to smell. They have great options for gluten-free desserts or snacks. the tea comes out, hot ready and fast. I just wish that they had more options of mixed tea that are not just leaf tea for example London fogs, I feel like they need to have their own signature tea drink mixture, since they are tea place or like a monthly tea drink I think that would spice the place up . read more

I'd actually been here before, about a year and a half ago, and completely forgot where it was, so I stopped in on a whim yesterday morning (shop local! Especially right now!) and was thrilled to make the connection. Coffee was fantastic. I love that they have oat milk, and their spicy mocha was the perfect amount of sweet and heat. Breakfast wrap was excellent. $6 for a breakfast sandwich of fresh scrambled eggs, packed with veggies and a little turkey? Total steal. I knocked off a star for the cupcake. I ordered four and have currently eaten three of them. I'm sure it's due to the lack of traffic this week, but my Coffee and Donuts cupcake was pretty dry. The chocolate espresso was divine and super moist, though, and the Irish coffee was also a treat. I'm so glad I found this place again and I'll be stopping by for weekend breakfast as long as I can!
