This diner is not bad at all. I would say one's experience depends on what they order, just like anywhere else of course. But at the end of the day.. a diner is a diner. Well, I haven't come across a glorious experience at a diner because I think most are just mediocre. From the burgers, to wraps, to paninis, to gyros.. They're average. If you want something a bit "above" average, I recommend their "All Star" menu. I guess you can look at them as North Shore's "specialty" when it comes to sandwiches. I like their fries and curly fries as well. Only thing that ever disappointed me was something off their dinner menu. It was the alfredo something.. I forget the name, but that was terrible. It was very bland.. But it could've just been a bad day, or maybe it was the dish itself. Regardless, I won't try that one again. Price is average; usually around $10 ~ $15. Although the food doesn't excel here, I'm giving it 4 stars cause it gets the job done. The portions are usually enough, so when I feel like beasting on some food.. this diner is here for me :) - I also don't live too far from this diner so it's a plus for me personally. My husband and I would always end up coming here for dinner whenever we couldn't decide on what cuisine we want. Their prices are in the higher side for a diner, but their portions are huge. The dinner specials they have will fill you up to the gills. I always get the pork chops and they are delish! The waiters here are always nice and smiley, never rush us to finish our meals. The food comes promptly and always fresh and hot. Again, the price might be a little higher but you do get what you pay for. They have tons of dessert options. Highly recommended. read more

Been coming to this place since I was a kid. Was in the neighborhood and decided to come in. They have these all inclusive dinner specials for under $25 it gives soup salad the entree which was a great piece of salmon and dessert plus coffee or tea. How can you go wrong. The waitstaff. I've come here many more times since writing this review and I think this diner is more of a high 2 or a low 3 than a 5. The quality of this place really depends on the day you come here. My family and I came here for Thanksgiving dinner and although the food was good, the service was subpar. Our waitress ignored us for the majority of our meal. This was understandable as it was a busy day for the diner and I let that slide. However we also came here for brunch on Palm Sunday and the experience wasn't great either. Our waiter forgot to bring toast with the omelet a member of my party ordered and forgot to bring him his Diet Coke (he needed to remind the waiter twice for it). I also noticed the table next to us seemed to have some issues with the same waiter as well. We came here again last night and it was our worst experience yet. We walked in and there were at least 5 employees sitting around doing nothing. Some of them just looked at us while some didn't even acknowledge us! "I guess we're seating ourselves" I said as we looked around for a booth. A few minutes later I noticed one of the female employees who ignored us when we came in doing another female employee's hair. Unfortunately we were stuck with the same waiter from Palm Sunday. Shortly after sitting down he asked us if we were ready to order and if we wanted anything to drink. When we asked for more time, he seemed annoyed. I ordered linguine but got spaghetti instead. One of the members of my party had a side order of string beans which he didn't even eat because he said they were so tough. Another member of my party said the fish he ate left an unpleasant aftertaste in his mouth. At the end of our meal, our waiter brought us an incorrect bill that charged us for coffee that came with our meal. There is one waiter whose name I can't remember who is fantastic every time he serves us, but we have not had him for a while. Overall it's a decent diner (and their desserts are delicious every time) but after my last few experiences here, I think I will be giving it a break for a while. read more

I ordered the hash browns and they came in wet and soggy along with my greasy bacon that was also soggy. And to not mention the eggs that had the consistency of oatmeal. I do not recommend. This used to be our go to diner for breakfast. They don't serve homefries like you get in other diners, you get these shredded potatoes that look like straw, are bland and watery. I got a simple deluxe tuna Sandwhich and i wasnt a big fan. It had more bread then anything, no taste and was really cold. I am saddened so learn that a disabled individual with a Service Dog was turned away. They were turned away due to the eagerness of the establishment to not follow the American with Disabilities act. A set of laws that establishments are legally obligated to adhere to so that the disabled are treated as anyone else. The person even attempted to educated the establishment with printouts of the laws but they refused to listen. I hope they get it together soon because the form of discrimination they displayed was shameful. read more

Dined here September 18 between wake hours of loved one. What struck me first was the high prices. Restaurant fairly empty yet the waitress over eager to take our order. I settled on the London Broil which was freezer burnt, well done and tasteless. Mentioned to waitress but no offer to improve or replace. Place seemed dirty. read more

Food is typical diner food, mediocre... Nothing really special. Ate over here a few dozen times before I could actually grab a hold to write a review for the most recent time I had ordered something here being the wrap with lettuce tomatoes grilled chicken and white sauce on the side. only remember enjoying this food when drunk or in the morning for a simple eggs with home fries. Which is typically good at any diner. What surprised me was every time I ordered a "lettuce" meal (something that had lettuce involved like a wrap) they wouldn't put lettuce, rather they put cabbage. Yes...cabbage. After a few times of this I had enough and decided to throw in the towel for North Shore and never return again for my service. 2 stars not only because I'm reminiscing on the times I've had a bad quality burger here but because of the cabbage incident that just keeps occurring... Over...and over... The first time I almost puked. And majority of the things there leak...literally leak. If you order a sandwich expect a watery leakage from the sauces...sort of like the leakage that comes before shaking a ketchup bottle. 2 stars also because they have parking and it's convenient other wise they ruined my love for wraps...and would get a 1. read more

Love this place so much!! Such a nice atmosphere. They serve food super quick too! I usually order an omelette ( I recommend the western or the mushroom and cheese) and it takes about 15 minutes! Sometimes it is even quicker. I would suggest staying away from the juice because they are super expensive and the cups are tiny! Overall a very nice place for breakfast in the morning. read more

Wish i could give 0 stars. Waiter was so rude and racist. He was an old an man working the night shift. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on whole wheat with potato salad. First the sandwich comes out on a roll and with fries instead of potato salad. When i called him over to let him know, he immediately asks me "what you need hot sauce?" I never heard if that stereotype where asians love hot sauce but he found it amusing. When i let him know that the bread was wrong he comes back with two piece of bread and tells me to make it myself. Wow. What a piece of shit service. After asking him if i should make my own sandwich, the jerk takes it back with an attitude and brings it back looking like he just threw it together. Didn't even bother eating it cause i am pretty sure he went back to the kitchen took his dirty hands and put the meat on the bread. I know diners don't have the best service its a quick eat and go place but wow what a really horrible experience. I wont be going ever again of course and i hope this review helps other people to avoid bad places like this because no one deserves this kind of service. read more

I ordered a Greek Salad with grilled chicken and was disappointed. There was wayyy too much chicken on top, and it was not grilled. The chicken was pan fried in a skillet. I can tell the difference. No smoky grilled taste, no grill marks, no flavor! What I got was flavorless beige chicken. The vegetables in it were fine, there was a good enough amount of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, green peppers, and chopped red cabbage. The feta cheese was not good. It was dry and cut into cubes, not crumbled, which is how I prefer it. The olives were sparce and not good. They were teeny tiny kalamata olives with a strange flavor. The grape leaves were a throw away, as per usual in any greek salad, because they are never the homemade variety, and are obviously out of a can or something. Gross. The dressing was not good. A real Greek dressing has equal parts red wine vinegar and lemon juice to two parts extra virgin olive oil, oregano, and salt and pepper. What I got was a watery oil and vinegar with a little garlic and no other seasoning. Sigh. I hate that I order things that I can make 10 times better myself, and then complain about it. But I am doing you all a favor, trust me. read more

This review is from last Mother's Day. As far as a diner goes, it's regular diner food. Nothing spectacular. I've been to this diner several times before and no problems or issues. I went there on Mother's day with my mother, my wife and my 4 year old son. Valet parked my car. Had an ordinary breakfast. I went to get my car while my family was getting ready and after the valet brought my car and gave me the keys I realized he had left it in gear. Luckily it was pointed uphill. My family came out, got into the car and I saw they had cookies and I think single roses. My wife said the hostess was giving out to every table that had a mother but had conveniently passed ours and the other non-white family there and my mother had to point out to her that our table had 2 mothers. We were already on our way home or I would have given them back. My money is just as green. I won't be going back there and I have been letting other people know. My mother's book club has stopped going there and I am sure they also are telling friends and family. read more
