They were able to reconnect our family room by running the air-ducts through the crawlspace. Brilliant!

Save yourself some time and money and hire these folks, you will not regret it. We had Doug and his son over to help us with our air-duct and old oil furnace. We had 7 different contractors come out and give us a quote and nobody could beat Doug's price and expertise. Of all of those guys Doug was the only one that, #1 showed up on time, #2 spent about an hour figuring out what to do and how to do it and he clearly communicated to me what he plans to do. #3 was available to start within few days. Our house was challenging since we had to remodel the basement and we had to disconnect all the air-ducts along with the oil-furnace. Many contractors were trying to convince us that we should do something else, get rid of oil furnace, do some ugly split system units and they didn't really care about trying to make it work. One company came by and asked for over $12K just for duct work and when I told them I had a guy who can do it for whole lot less they asked why I thought they were expensive. Incredible. I also had guys telling me they don't do oil and they couldn't reconnect the furnace. Not only that Doug and his son Douglas reconnected the furnace they also did it for free. Many other guys will try and nickel and dime you on things but not these folks. They went above and beyond. Their duct work also saved us a lot of space and they weren't pricing their work on number of terminals they would put in. When we asked for few extra terminals for the basement areas they had no problem doing it. Doug also made us extra happy by suggesting we install heat pump on a top of our oil furnace so when the temperature goes below 32 degrees oil furnace would kick in and other times we'd be using electric heat pump. This was a revelation to us. This made my wife extra-happy since we were looking for best option for our house and Doug delivered long term solution to us. Overall Doug and his son are also excellent folks who will leave a long term impression on you. Their work is clean, affordable and most of all exceptional. Like I said in my opening remarks, "Save yourself some time and money and hire these folks, you will not regret it."

Doug showed up on time and as scheduled and did a great job. My old furnace was on it's last leg and I wanted to get it replaced before the winter rush. Their price was lower than the other bid I got and they could do it in less time (one day). The new furnace fan runs great (quieter) and we're very happy with the overall results. They even cleaned up the old ducting mess and added a filter box. I highly recommend Northend for any furnace work.

I was worried about my cats being hot in the evenings in my absence since I need to use a fan and window opening system for hours to cool the house. Yes, I bought my cats (and myself!) AC!! I was going to cancel a work trip in this current heat wave, and after thinking about AC for a couple of years, I received an outstanding bid from Northend Home Heating and Doug said, "The cool thing about us installing AC is that you won't have it in the morning, and then - boom - you'll have it later that day. You'll love it." He was absolutely right, and I've heard many people in Seattle say that you'll love it and you'll never regret it. Who thought we'd need AC in Seattle?? Anyway, they came at the scheduled time, ready to do the job. Doug set up a cardboard barrier to keep my cats in and outdoor cats out. They were extremely efficient and NEAT (even vacuuming mid-job so that they didn't track anything in my garage! - who does that?!). Their attention to details and great customer service were better than I ever expected. But most of all, they brilliantly redid the duct work, working with the layout of the house (such as routing the water heater vent pipe through a small gap in the system), calibrated it all perfectly, and it's so quiet. I HIGHLY recommend this company. My cats are happy and cool, as I am, and I have peace of mind - which is worth A LOT.

We purchased a new home out in Granite Falls and we were past the deadline to have the builder install a/c while under construction. After we took possession of our new home we contacted the contractor that did the install of the furnace and they gave us a huge quote to ad a/c. We called Northend Home Heating and they were out to our house in 2 business days! Gave us a detailed quote, which was well under what we were quoted be the "other guys". Doug and his oldest son Douglas were very polite, courteous and professional. They got right to work yesterday after showing up on time! Doug took the up most care to protect our brand new carpets because our furnace was installed in the attic. When routing the power to the a/c unit they took care into making sure the conduit was run through our garage so it would minimize the amount it was shown on the outside of the home. By 3:30pm we had a/c blowing through out vents. I couldn't have been happier with the service that re received. Thanks Doug and Douglas for your awesome customer service! We couldn't be any more happy with the work you performed! We will recommend you and Northend Home Heating to everyone we know that needs your service.

They came on 3/6 in the provided time window, and did a good job of cleaning from what I can tell. On their website, they mention they provide a before and after report of the duct cleaning, though the only report I've received so far is the indoor air quality one. It would be nice to see the before and after, but that's not my biggest concern with their service. Unfortunately after they completed the service and left, I noticed floor new vibrations on the floor that is right below the furnace (which weren't there before the service). At the time since this was still during the day, I figured it might be from some construction work outside and ignored it. The vibrations continued into the night at which point I was getting concerned. I call them on Monday 3/9 and the earliest they can send someone to check it out is Friday 3/16 -- not ideal, but appreciated nonetheless. It's the same tech who did notice the vibrations on the furnace with the blower compartment open and fan running. Unfortunately he doesn't have an idea on what could be causing the vibrations from a cleaning. I suspect the vibrations to be from the blower going out of balance (perhaps from something settling on the blower during the duct cleaning). He goes to call his boss and returns saying the boss isn't also sure of what could be causing the vibrations, that the blower could be cleaned but AirGanic doesn't do it and that the boss would reach out to me with details of a company that cleans furnace blower. It's been three full business days and I've yet to recieve a call from the boss. I removed, cleaned, and put back the furance blower myself in the mean time which did resolve the vibrations -- it looked like there was stuck on paper on the blower fins. No idea where that came from. I'm not particularly happy with how my situation was handled -- if I am told someone will reach out to me, I expect to be reached out in a reasonable time. If I'm hiring a professional for a service and something unexpected happens, I expect help from the professional -- that's why you hire a professional. I was left without help and had to guess and fix the problem myself. Everyone makes mistakes, that's not what I have a problem with, I'm only interested in how well the mistake is remedied. I imagine this was something that doesn't happen frequently. In all probability, you'll hire AirGanic for cleaning, everything will go great -- I certainly don't contest that the cleaning itself was poor or unsatisfactory -- but if something unexpected happens, you might not get the help you are expecting.

As of April 13th, I am still being double charged and the issue has not been resolved. I have been flexible and willing to work with them, but the owner Mark and the sales guy Loren made that impossible. Loren will say anything to close a deal. The lack of oversight is staggering. They refused to do a walkthrough with the installer and seller, which led to two heat pumps being installed incorrectly. They had to be moved, and that caused even more damage to my home. They also charged my credit card while "charging" a Synchrony loan, so I have been effectively double-charged for months. Now they refuse to speak on the phone and only send haphazard email replies that never resolve anything. They promised to fix the drywall in writing. This was necessary to repair their own mistakes and because I preferred to have the electrical work go through the house, which they agreed to. Instead, they sent a third-party worker and then demanded a massive payment for the repair. They eventually gave me a payment to cover the drywall fixes myself, which I am grateful for, but even that took over 3 months of fighting. The actual installers and electricians were amazing. They should go find a new job at another installer with actual integrity. My problem is entirely with Mark and Loren. Since they use AI for their reviews, expect a fake reply from Max below. Save your sanity and hire a company that won't hold your money hostage.

Seatown Review: Before You Hire, Read About Our Experience…read more We hired Seatown because of a previous positive experience with one of their plumbers. When our water heater failed, we contacted them again for a replacement and several electrical projects, including an EV charger installation. The salesperson who came to our home told us he could offer a particularly good deal and an additional 10% discount if work started immediately. Based on those representations, we signed the estimates and proceeded. Shortly after work began, we started researching the pricing and became concerned that the quoted costs were far higher than market rates. For example, we were quoted approximately $7,500 for a replacement water heater and installation. Our later research indicated the unit retailed for about $2,350, leading us to question the overall pricing. In total, Seatown's billings approached $17,000. Based on our own research and discussions, we believed a reasonable price for the completed work was closer to $8,500. We requested a detailed review of the charges before making additional payments. After discussions with Seatown, the company reduced the total cost by approximately $7,000. We ultimately paid about $8,500, including our down payment. We also discovered that a required electrical permit had not been obtained before work began. The permit was secured approximately one month after completion of the work. During the subsequent city inspection, the work initially failed inspection and required corrective action before ultimately passing. Our concerns were not with the workers themselves, who were generally professional and courteous. Rather, they involved the pricing, sales process, and permit handling. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend obtaining multiple bids, asking detailed questions about permits, and carefully reviewing pricing before signing any agreement. Doing so could save you thousands of dollars.

When it stopped heating in Winter (thankfully, we have back-up propane), CM quoted us $3,200 for a thermal expansion valve (TXV) replacement. They explicitly said that while the parts were covered under warranty, the labor was not. We got a second opinion -- and while the part failed, the second company pointed out that we had a 10 year parts and labor warranty (he was easily able to get to this info, which means CM should have, too -- especially since they sold it to me). I've now called CM several times to inform them that they need to cover the repair, but I've been ghosted. I assume this is likely because they can charge a higher rate for labor on a customer-pay job than they can be paid by the warranty company and are hoping I'll go to another company, but I have no proof of that.
