I booked AirGanic's services for duct cleaning, furnace cleaning, AC cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning. They came on 3/6 in the provided time window, and did a good job of cleaning from what I can tell. On their website, they mention they provide a before and after report of the duct cleaning, though the only report I've received so far is the indoor air quality one. It would be nice to see the before and after, but that's not my biggest concern with their service. Unfortunately after they completed the service and left, I noticed floor new vibrations on the floor that is right below the furnace (which weren't there before the service). At the time since this was still during the day, I figured it might be from some construction work outside and ignored it. The vibrations continued into the night at which point I was getting concerned. I call them on Monday 3/9 and the earliest they can send someone to check it out is Friday 3/16 -- not ideal, but appreciated nonetheless. It's the same tech who did notice the vibrations on the furnace with the blower compartment open and fan running. Unfortunately he doesn't have an idea on what could be causing the vibrations from a cleaning. I suspect the vibrations to be from the blower going out of balance (perhaps from something settling on the blower during the duct cleaning). He goes to call his boss and returns saying the boss isn't also sure of what could be causing the vibrations, that the blower could be cleaned but AirGanic doesn't do it and that the boss would reach out to me with details of a company that cleans furnace blower. It's been three full business days and I've yet to recieve a call from the boss. I removed, cleaned, and put back the furance blower myself in the mean time which did resolve the vibrations -- it looked like there was stuck on paper on the blower fins. No idea where that came from. I'm not particularly happy with how my situation was handled -- if I am told someone will reach out to me, I expect to be reached out in a reasonable time. If I'm hiring a professional for a service and something unexpected happens, I expect help from the professional -- that's why you hire a professional. I was left without help and had to guess and fix the problem myself. Everyone makes mistakes, that's not what I have a problem with, I'm only interested in how well the mistake is remedied. I imagine this was something that doesn't happen frequently. In all probability, you'll hire AirGanic for cleaning, everything will go great -- I certainly don't contest that the cleaning itself was poor or unsatisfactory -- but if something unexpected happens, you might not get the help you are expecting. read more

I'm always reluctant to write negative reviews and for the most part have not. Unfortunately, I've had to today. We called AirGanics this morning because of no heat coming from our furnace, which we had installed when we moved in our house June 2021. We tried most of the morning, both email and phone to contact them. We couldn't wait any longer and reached out to another company to fix our furnace. We did a call back but was told they do not service "non AirGanics" installed equipment. I explained we did have AirGanics install our our whole unit when we moved in, but was told they had no record of us installing, just a consultation. So I forwarded the invoice we had paid to have the unit installed. I received an email back simply stating, "Checking our records now for that invoice. I did find that. Thank you So now I don't even know if the warranty on our less than 5 year old furnace will be serviced in the future, or will we need to go to another company. They had to rescheduled me once, which is fine i understand that some jobs take a while so it may happen; it's just unfortunate when it happened because I had to take some time off work to accommodate time for the tune-up. Perhaps I might not be seeing everything but it looks like the tune-up wasn't as extensive as the companies I've worked with in the past. I was literally watching this guy over his shoulders; I had some cameras in my garage, and I only noticed the tech vacuum a few areas, and wipe down various surfaces. I didn't see the tech bring a single specialty tool to test or examine anything, no multimeter, digital probe, or even a flash light. After the tech closed up the panels, he calls me to simply say "everything is fine." Friendly staff, but I'm not too sure if I'll reach out for another routine tune-up. My review is based on my experience with the sales team, since they did not end up doing any work. They waited until after I had signed the proposal to inform me they could only take on my job if there were 10 or more units in my building participating. I wasted a lot of time, energy, and $250 getting HOA approval when they could have told me on day 1 about their policies related to multifamily buildings. Given the info they shared about the additional cost (it was almost as much as the entire quoted cost of my minisplit installation), I understand why they wouldn't want to take the project on. I also understand that AirGanic doesn't control the permitting rules. What I do not understand, and what I am very upset about, is why they did not tell me sooner. We exchanged many emails over the course of nearly a month, including me asking specifically about permitting expenses, and received assurances from two different employees before I paid the fee to have my HOA review. There were other bumps along the way, including the abrupt departure of the salesperson who had come to my place and sent me the proposal. No notice, no handoff. He just stopped answering my emails, and I didn't find out until I called the office (because the clock was ticking on the 30-day review period) that he no longer worked there. The owner also informed me on 4/27 that there would be a 7% price increase (attributed to tariffs) starting 5/1, which also felt like very late notice. read more

Cleaning our ducts made a HUGE difference in our overall health. I couldn't believe all the stuff they got out of our vents. Wish i had done this years ago. People need to be warned though it's a very disruptive experience. You can't really be home when they do it, especially if you have a small house, plan to be gone for 1.5 hours. AirGanic was easy to work with, my only complaint is one or both of the technicians smelled strongly of cigarettes and it made our house smell. I did mention this to AirGanic and they graciously gave us a discount for this inconvenience. Overall would recommend. read more

In October 2022, Airganic installed a Trane furnace and Aerus air filter at our residence. We paid the full amount of $11, 185.97 for the job several weeks in advance even though we only owed 50% prior to completion. The job also included a Honeywell 9000 smart WiFi thermostat that appeared on the estimate for $575.00. It was never installed because it required an additional wire and we thought we had a verbal agreement with Airganic to replace the air scrubber with an IQAir whole home air scrubber and an IQAir compatible thermostat. My wife instructed the technicians to take the thermostat back so we could discuss the next steps with our sales person. After months of trying to contact Airganic following the installation, I was finally able to speak to the sales person in March 2023. He told me there was no agreement to install an IQAir scrubber and claimed to only know about portable IQAir products that Airganic did not deal in. However, my wife had several phone conversations with him about a specific IQAir whole home air scrubber. He told her prior to the October 25th 2022 installation that Airganic could obtain an IQAIr system on backorder and install it as soon as January 2023. He also told her that we could go ahead with the installation using the Aerus scrubber and replace it when the IQAir unit arrived. Around the same time, IQAir told us they only work with contractors in their official network and Airganic had no relationship with them. The Airganic CEO confirmed this in an email where he also denied knowledge of the sales person's promise to my wife. We moved on and used a highly reputable contractor to install a whole home scrubber and air conditioner. When they inspected the furnace to quote the work, they discovered that Airganic had vented it vertically close to the ground rather than using a snorkel. It was just by luck that the vent did not freeze during the winter and cause a basement leak. Gaslighting and poor workmanship. Zero stars. read more

We had our home HVAC replaced by this company after the dreaded heat wave of '21, only to have the air conditioning components break and need replacing last fall AND AGAIN this spring. The issue last fall was only one month after Airganic serviced our unit. Because the issue happened so close to a service by AirGanic, I contacted them and requested they come back, and they quoted an unacceptable wait time for another appointment. We ended up going with another company to fix our system. We've had to do two repairs in the last 6 months, and the other company we've worked with blamed the high-quality components' not working due to a shoddy installation. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Airganic and the heat pump they installed at our home. Branden came out to our house right on time and gave our existing heating oil powered furnace setup a thorough inspection. After his departure we had an estimate a few days later. After getting a few more estimates we selected Airganic due to their stellar online reviews, straightforward all inclusive and very competitive proposal, and Mitsubishi Diamond installation status that extends the heat pump warranty significantly. The team was able to knock out the removal of our old furnace and install the heat pump in what seemed like the blink of an eye. We did have a minor issue that popped up the day after installation, but the install crew lead had exceptional communication and came back out to make everything right. We found out the ac unit box outside was leaking Freon out of the loose screws and bolts. Also he told me there were a missing cap so that could cause leak. He inspected the vents and concluded that the cleaning wasn't done up to their company standards, and he will take this opportunity to improve their employee training. He proceeded to perform the cleaning himself (and there were a lot of lint that came flying out... I want to say..more than triple the amount from the original cleaning). I rarely write reviews, particularly bad ones. However, one thing that really annoys me is bait pricing/dishonest pricing. We did multiple quotes from many companies and Air ganic was the most competitive. We decided to go with Airganic. After we had signed the quite and before the project began, the the owner (Gal Zamir) asked to do a second inspection of the house. There they 'found' that we need to do a separate electric wiring for 220V and pull permits and hence decided to charge us extra. These are things which are easy to figure out given that everyone needs to pull permits and the initial estimator took photos of our electric panel. All other services gave us upfront pricing as these are very obvious thing to do for every installation. We decided to call off the project because of this bait and switch pricing. Paid the full quoted amount in mid May. Company did not get serious about the job until closer to the installation date of July first week. 3-4 technician visits where they did not bother to tell me what is going on. I checked with the building manager and it looks like he wasn't involved until the very end when they got to the electrical wiring part. Sent me an email 2-3 days before the supposed installation, 1 1/2 months after I paid them in full for the job, saying they cannot do it mostly due to the writing installation and drilling to code in a condo building. I think they have no experience in condos/apartments; electrical wiring in the first part other companies looked at when they gave an estimate. It absolutely should not have come to this for me - I was left with no AC, and I did not bother searching other companies for the 1 1/2 months i had paid them and was waiting for the installation. I saw another review with pretty much the same situation, except they asked for more money to the client than quoted initially. I would say stop doing condos altogether, since it really isn't your area of expertise. It would have saved us a lot of time and energy. And I probably could have found another company to do the job in time to beat the summer heat. read more

We bought our house almost exactly a year ago. I want to give a little back story so this makes sense. When we agreed to purchase the house there were several items which needed to be fixed before we would sign the final documents for the sale of the house. About a week before the final sale date we went to look at the house and NONE of the work had been done. We called our realtor immediately and she started calling contractors right away to get quotes to fix the items so she could go to the seller and tell them this is what they needed to take off the final price of the house if they didn't have the items fixed before the signing. She received a few quotes but a lot of companies didn't come and look at the work since this is their busiest season, they just couldn't afford the time to come and give an accurate quote. We agreed on the seller taking several thousand dollars off the sale price and our realtor gave us the names and quotes of the companies she had contacted about fixing the issues. One of the quotes was Airganic. They had been one of the companies who gave us a quote without coming to the house to look at the job first hand. We needed to have the hot water heater exhaust diverted to go through the chimney. After we signed for the house, I called and asked when they could come and perform the work. I called and let them know we weren't moving in immediately. I gave them a wide range of about four weeks before we'd be moving in and asked when they would be able to come and perform the work. They stated they'd be able to do their work the week after we signed. The date came and went. No phone call, no email, nothing. I called again and asked when. They stated they were busy but they were going to make us a priority as we'd prepaid for the work. Nothing. Finally I called and said we were moving in after a vacation and we needed the work done before then. They said they'd do the work while we were gone, I left them the combination for the lock so they could access the home while we were away. We got back from vacation and nothing. I called and said we were moving in in two days and I practically begged them to come and fix the work. Finally, the afternoon before we were supposed to move in, my wife and I were painting in the house and someone was in the hallway. We were a bit surprised and asked who they were. They said they were here for the air ducts. After a few minutes I finally ascertained the guy (the owner of the company, Gal) was here for the hot water heater work. He was not polite, shook his head at our surprise someone had entered our house without announcement, knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell. He looked at the work to be done and said he'd have his guy out to perform the work the next day. The guy came, did his work and left after a few hours. I went into the basement to look at the work and was rather surprised and irked that he had used parts from the previous exhaust on the new work, left old parts on the floor, didn't take care to clean up after himself and the work was not at all what the inspector has specified. I contacted the inspector; sent him pictures and he replied the work was definitely not done correctly. I called our realtor and asked about the quote and what she had outlined for the work to be performed. She had sent Airganic the inspectors notes and pictures and stated the inspector's notes were to be followed to complete the work. I called Airganic about this and they said they'd done the work properly. I went back and forth from the inspector to Airganic several times before the inspector said he had a third party look at the pictures of the finished work and the third party who is a teacher and inspector for hot water heater installation, said this was unequivocally incorrect installation. I called Airganic again and asked them to correct it. They refused, I asked for part of our money back and they refused but said they'd have their partner company perform the work. I had had enough and called another company to assess the situation. The new company came out, looked at the "fixed" work, removed the insulation, which had partially burned (see photos) and almost caused a fire. The new company said technically the current hot water heater was too large/tall for the space, however if they (Airganic) had run the exhaust as the inspector had stated, everything would have been fine. Let me be clear here, the fact the current hot water heater was too large for the space was not Airganic's fault. The fact they didn't say anything or point this out shows, in my opinion, they didn't know what to do or how to do the work correctly. In the end we had the new company install a tankless hot water heater to avoid any issue. Airganic may be good at cleaning ducts but they are not the company to do any installation of furnace or hot water heater work. read more

I hired AirGanic to install a 3-zone Mitsubishi mini-split system. Obtaining a quote was quick and AirGanic was able to obtain the parts and schedule me for an install within a week or two during a time where other outfits were quoting me a start time that was at least a month or two out. The installation team came on time and did a great job. They had no problem meeting my demands in terms of routing of piping etc. The team on site was easy to work with and respectful e.g., we are a no shoes indoors household and all the workers were respectful of this. The craftsmanship was good, as well. Within a few days I was up and running with a full AC system that is capable of cooling down my home with floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows in minutes. I would totally hire AirGanic for any future maintenance or AC installs. read more

After reviewing several local contractors we finally settled on Airganics to do our first significant work to address these problems. We are very satisfied with Airganics and the crew they sent out. Our house was immediately more comfortable and easier to regulate that night - from the basement office area up to the top floor bedrooms. The crew dealt energetically and creatively with several problems they discovered - and got the job done in one day even though they had to work a while past quitting time to do it.
