It was definitely time consuming effort, but worth it at the end. From the moment you step in the office, you feel the warm and friendly environment, unlike the other dental offices I visited where you feel like you're walking into a lions den, ready to be eaten as you're viewed as a dollar sign. The front desk ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. Scheduling appointments was very easy. They go out of their way to break down charges, what is a covered by insurance, and ultimately your responsibility. No surprises. Then comes the best experience, the treatment and care. This is the first time using Dr. Do for major dental work....tooth extraction and crown. Of course I was worried at first, but Dr. Do and his dental assistant Terra made it a wonderful and painless experience. They are very gental, takes time to explain everything they are doing, and ultimately making you feel at ease. As I mentioned, I visited 2 other dental offices prior to going to see Dr. Do. Based on treatment plans from the other 2 offices, you can tell there was a lot of " upselling". Not with Dr. Do, his treatment plan was to to the point to resolve the issue, no additional upselling, that's why I ultimately chose him for my procedures. In addition my out of pocket cost with insurance was much less than the other 2 dentists I visited. Rarely can anyone say they had a good experience at a dental office. However, I can honestly say I had a great experience overall with Dr. Do and definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

The appointment was for 1020am, and they did the x-ray, then he waited an hour, and then they did the exam and told him he had to come back to do the cleaning and the earliest opening was in two hours. How disrespectful of people's time to assume they can come in two visits. Why couldn't they do the cleaning during this hour where they had him waiting for nothing? They never told us when I made the appointment that it was broken up into two visits - in California for these new patient specials they always do it in one visit. So then he went back a few days later for the cleaning and it was HORRIBLE. Usually there is a dentist who cleans, and then an assistant who mans the suction, but this was one lady doing it all herself. She was not communicative (usually they tell you when they're doing the suction, when to close your mouth, etc, she said nothing) nor detailed (she jumped around from a left tooth to a right tooth when usually they go sequentially), and an overflow of saliva built up in his mouth. Then she POKED his lip with the sharp pick point and didn't even apologize!!! And she was scraping a tooth and missed and scraped his mouth!! Ugh!! How is this person allowed to even clean people's teeth? I'm very disappointed that we didn't get to experience the good dentists that other people refer to in their reviews. My partner was in shock after the appointment and said it was the worst teeth cleaning experience he's ever had. The fact that they have this incompetent tooth cleaner to where they hurt you is unforgiveable. Definitely will not be going back.

My first few visits went great. I liked the doctor and had no billing issues ever. Then one day I showed up for my appointment, only to find the name on the front door changed. I went inside and was told Dr Kuranko retired and I'd be seeing a new doctor. That in and of itself is unacceptable. Every patient should have been notified of an upcoming doctor change. Nobody wants to show up and see Dr Surprise! I decided I would go throught with the appointment snd then do some research when i got home. I was told i needed a deep cleaning and this particular day, and the office staff said I would be responsible for $25 that my insurance wouldn't cover. I agreed and completed my appointment. Approximately a month later, i get a text from the office saying I have an outstanding balance. I called and was told I owe an additional $45 from that appointment. When I called to ask questions before booking the appointment, hoping they could help my husband with the terrible pain caused his TMJ (supposed TMJ specialist) I was told for $250 he would be getting X-rays, to see where the TMJ sat and how severe it was, as well as a physical exam and discussion about which treatment would best fit the diagnosis. So, I booked hoping he could help my husband. He went in, waited 1.5 HOURS, moved to two different rooms while waiting, nothing done just moved rooms for whatever reason. Finally the doctor came in at 5pm (appt was at 3:30pm) asked about the pain, touched his face a little and suggested a $9k splint (cash pay price). And that he would need to go elsewhere for a MRI/X-rays of his jaw. When It was mentioned he didn't have insurance and MRIs can be pricey he said he'd order a CT scan instead, "it's cheaper". So ITS NOT included in the $250!!! Already flustered about waste of time, he paid and left. Fast forward to my dentist appt elsewhere, I explain what happened to them after overhearing them treating someone with TMJ. I explain what happened and they said $250 should've included the X-rays at very least and "you should call." So, upset that we were ripped off I called multiple times throughout the day, no answer, so finally I left a voicemail. Next day I get a call from someone at dr. Escotos office, she was extremely unprofessional, she said THE RECEPTIONIST THAT TOLD ME X-RAYS WERE INCLUDED WAS WRONG AND MEANT SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, X-RAYS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AT WHATEVER PLACE THEY REFERRED (Not what the actual doctor said though, the other place charges). THAT ITS NORMAL TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF AT A DOCTOR, MY HUSBAND MUST NOT "UNDERSTAND" THE TREATMENT PLAN EXPLAINED AND DR. Escoto HAS A MASTERS AND CAN CHARGE $250 FOR TOUCHING SOMEONES FACE FOR 5 MINUTES IF HE WANTS TO. I swear. I was dumbfounded when she said this. After calling my husband stupid in so many words I got upset and she hung up in my face. They did NOTHING for him and took the $250 and his time without a care in the world.
