The reason we will not be back is because of the Sunday we went in a few months to go and the staff opened up the pool tables for free to about a half dozen loud kids who took the place over while their parents got drunk. Convenient to UTD is this fun pizza joint. Lots of big TV's to watch you favorite sports games. They have 2 pool tables, dart boards, golden tee and power putt video games inside and patio games outside. I do wish the patio was covered. But the tables do have umbrellas. Their beer selection is fantastic! Brunch is really good and pizzas are great! Even the crust on the pizza is good. I had the $5 lunch BLT w onion rings. Onion rings are a $4 upcharge. The onion rings are pretty large so the batter was pretty rough on the roof of my mouth. The bacon was in every bite but might have been just a little too over cooked. I did still enjoyed the sandwich. Restrooms are clean. Full service bar. Please note this is "self service" bar. You have to go to the bar and order both drinks and food. This is gonna be a long one so buckle your fucking seatbelts. Absolutely awesome food. The menu is the best bar food you'll find and goes great with a night of drinking. Cheese Curds and the New York White Pizza are by far my favorites. If you're feeling extra fat I recommend fully loaded cheese curds. It's beautifully colorful. They do have salads and cauliflower crust in case you're watching your figure that are pretty good too. Cocktails are inspired!! So delicious. There's a new weekly cocktail and I must say Andrew does an amazing job of pairing ingredients. He can give awesome beer recommendations and is by far the coolest man I have ever met. Omg the cheese curds! This is a great place. Hip college vibe with really good food and drinks. I had cheese curds and they are some of the best I ever had. The Drafthouse burger was really, really good with bacon and a nice smoked taste. Inside they have pool tables and you order food and drinks at the bar. The outside space has these gigantic picnic tables, TVs, bags and giant Jenga. The patio is pet friendly. I'm really digging this place. The beer is plentiful and the food is respectable. I really didn't want to leave a bad review or low stars bc it was specifically one person not the entire business that made me convicted to leave a review. I've been an occasional visitor to this bar since 2017 but the attitude and lack of patience I experienced from a bar tender really turned me off to Northside. I get people can have bad days so it's fine if I'm not getting a friendly demeanor but this was worse than that. She was very rude and it took me off guard so I didn't say anything to her. My friend was trying to figure out what she wanted to drink that day and if the bar tender felt like we were taking too long to decide she could've politely excused herself to help other people who knew what they wanted but she went off on her and pushed her to make a decision after 2 mins of walking into a bar. Like what? Give us a minute and help someone else?? I've bartended and worked the management side of the SI and have no respect for people who are so ready to ruin a guests experience bc they are impatient and become snippy. I could expect poor customer service from a busy bar but at the time the bar was not very busy and there was no reason that I could find besides that the bar tender is not very good at her job. read more

People here like to take pictures of their food and drinks here, because sometime about 10 years ago it became popular to cherish the memories of consumables. I should start taking pictures of every pack of cigarettes I smoke and roll of toilet paper I use if that's the case. It's a campus bar, so its patrons are still happy and full of life and opportunity, they give themselves purpose and so the time vampire turns a blind eye to them. I indeed also have purposeful shit to do but it's never cool to be too busy, so I just roleplay a nihilist. Dani serves me energy drinks and pizza because she's a good enough bartender to know not to chastise me about my shitty diet. She's cautious and doesn't trust people easily and that's good because most people should be that way; especially with the collapse of mankind so soon around the corner. She'll even serve you if you show up in a denim vest (that very obviously is from forever 21) littered with pins of punk bands your dad listened to and order something douchey for lunch like a BLT and an Old Fashioned. So it's safe to say she's a much better person than I am and also has a really nice smile. If you catch her at the bar tell her a black cat came to you in a dream and told you your luck would increase twofold next sunday. You win a mystery prize. There's trivia on Monday at 7, I suck at it. Wednesday's they do a pint night which I can never attend at 9. There's some kinda 90's-ish night on Thursdays, catch me there if you wanna see me get so drunk I cry. Every solstice there's a bloodsport fight night, I don't make the rules but the pagans still do for some reason. All of these events are reasons to go here instead of sitting at home cleaning your rifles, double packing your bugout bags, and drinking alone. The food is good for bar food, there's lots of beer on tap that gets cycled through, and the service is pretty sick too (Dani is great and so is Kevin but I dont get to see him nearly enough). The boss man is also super badass, but like the old gods you only get to know his name once you've basked in his presence otherwise I'd be telling. Also the bathrooms are very well taken care of. I like this place! All food and drinks are ordered at the bar and someone will bring food to the table. Drink aren't as cheap as yours expect since this bar is on a college campus, but they do have some good deals. I've been here a couple of times with my college friends, and each time we're confused at why there are so many middle aged men At the bar when we go. UTD business student The beer selection is vast and unique. I like IPA and I'll tell you I only recognized one of the 8 or so they offer. That's cool! If you like trying new brews, this is your stop. I had a burger. It was damn good. It was the one with Mac on it. If you don't like medium cooked burgers, beware and tell the staff you want it cooked well. I don't mind pink, so the surprise wasn't a biggie. My best friend would have sent it back tho.... the house made chips were pretty good too. Not over cooked and appears genuinely house made. Soo food and beer gets 5 stars. The staff is super easy going and I got my service quickly. No mistakes made. 5 stars for staff. The bathroom was clean and cute also. No paper towels, just hand dryers. The staff provides plenty napkins with utensils. So napkins are available to those who want it. Great new local spot. Had the pizza today and it was AMAZING. Prices are great too- two slices and a coke for $5 ...or around that price. I had a frozen lime margarita that was delicious (and I'm a margarita expert). Love supporting great local spot so had to write a review. I am really disappointed in the service I received here during trivia night. Keep in mind I am a very loyal customer to the drafthouse. Especially during COVID19 I made sure to order to-go to support this local business. All this to say, I hate to leave this review but it needs to be brought to the owners attention. The food (ordered two pizzas and several drinks great). The bartender with red hair was super sweet and welcoming. Did a great job of making our cocktails. However, after we were done eating and finishing trivia, another bartender (brunette) came to our table and very sternly asked my friend to lift her head up off of the table. She was laying her head down because it was 9 p.m., and like most people, is tired after a long day at work. But on TOP of that, she has severe chronic back pain diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and it is difficult for her to sit her back up straight for long periods of time. She stated that it is against policy because it makes her look intoxicated. Because she is medicated for her condition, she had three glasses of water. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages. She wasn't bothering anyone. Intoxicated individuals are causing a ruckus and won't shut up, yet my friend is accused of acting intoxicated by this waitress. I politely stated the reason for her resting her head periodically to alleviate the pressure on the nerves in her back due to her disease. The waitress did not acknowledge this at all. In fact, she kept a blank face and walked off. Who does that? Have some compassion. I understand policy, but you are an adult- act like one. I hope this is brought to her attention as to why this is inappropriate. All in all, I'm incredibly disappointed in my experience here tonight. This girl is the only person who has ever made my experience at Northside drafthouse less than excellent. read more

Let me just start this by saying that I actually really like this place. However, it was very weird to me and bothered me a lot when I went over for the Champions League games and it was 15 of us watching the games and whatnot and 2 people sitting down eating. Visited during the first week they were open and was very impressed. 50 different beers on draft, cocktails, a good vibe and tasty food. Standout to me was the queso that tastes homemade and the pizza with a nice, thin crust. The fried eggplant was a good side for my fiancé's sandwich. Some bars feel claustrophobic to me, but this one has a lot of windows and natural light so it feels open and airy. Lots of space to handle a big group but intimate areas to chat with a date. Not a place I would go again to eat. Got the Parmesan chicken sandwich with a friend and the chicken was rubbery and sauce was oddly spiced, couldn't take more than a bite. The chips were pretty decent, but there's an up charge if you want fries. Two big groups came in while I was there and I ended up being (very nicely) to relocate. It might have been best for the staff to quarantine off enough tables beforehand, if that's possible. Staff was nice, so if you just want to get a drink then I'd say try it out read more
