Good local diner with delicious food and friendly staff. I don't come here as often as I should, but that just means I'm surprised every time I visit. The meals are quite filling and I always have leftovers, yay. I typically come during lunch time, and I haven't seen it overly busy during that time.

We came in for the nfl games this past weekend and sat at the bar. I wish we would have gotten the bartenders name as he was SO friendly! We ordered a couple beers a MASSIVE quesadilla (I forgot to take a picture) and some steamed spiced shrimp! Both were awesome and we will be back!

The same ugly, dry, tasteless, burnt Cuban

Never again! Been a couple times previously for a quick in and out lunch with work folks. It was always fine - nothing to write home about. This last time I stopped in for another quick lunch. A couple people sitting at the bar; not busy at all. To start, they don't serve sweet tea! I was aghast. lol But I stayed and ordered a Pepsi that turned out to be half flat. Got th menu and the interior of the menu was gross - dirty and sauce and something else on there. I overlooked it and ordered a Cuban that came out over done as hell. It was toasted too long in the panini press. Parts of the bread were burnt and the inside was dry as the Mojave as I said on insta and it lacked any real flavor. The fries were hot and crispy - a plus. The ketchup tasted wrong as hell. Not rancid but on its way. Well? I finish the fries and under the fries were not one but TWO hairs. Weren't mine, I'm bald! Tell my server and say, I think the kitchen needs a little reminder to wear hair nets or something. I don't make a big deal about it cuz at this point it's whatever. He says he'll "yell" at them. Ummm...no yelling isn't necessary, just a reminder - I've worked in kitchens I know what it's like. He takes the plate away and lets me know he "yelled" at them because it was completely unacceptable. I tell him again, no yelling was necessary just a reminder and he replied with, "nah it's okay, I can do what I want around here." So that alone left a nasty taste in my mouth. I never asked for a discount and didn't fully expect one given I ate the thing without complaining but as someone who's worked and run restaurants I definitely would not have charged full price. I'd say it was a waste of 30 minutes but I was waiting for the pharmacy to reopen, but it was definitely a waste of $22!! Never again.

Sunday 8/6/23 6:47pm The restaurant is packed! That's a great thing. It's a family style restaurant but could also be a casual date spot. Nobody working here gives off the vibe they love their job. That being said, they are a little busy. I'm not really hungry but I wanted something so I will order the crab dip & a cup of homemade chili with a sweet tea. Ok- I was told they don't have the crab dip anymore. They haven't updated the menu yet. They also don't have sweet tea. So I opted for nothing to drink and ordered lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was ok. Would I order it again? Probably not. I also think it has imitation Lobster meat. It doesn't taste real. $9.08 Maybe I'll come back when I'm hungry and try the Ruben.

Indoors was great; they have cool AC for that hot day. Matthew who tended the bar also took care of us. He answered all our questions. Chicken and waffles were good. The pancakes were fluffy and the pineapple was refreshing with cherries on top. Pork shoulder hash was good too. Enjoyed the food and experience here.

Bees and bugs were a little annoying but comes with the territory. Some fans on patio might help with that though. We ordered the chicken Cobb salad, the fish and chips and the ahi tuna plantain tostada. My mom loved her Cobb salad and my sister loved the fish and chips. I liked my order of tuna plantain tostadas for the flavor and creativity but the tuna wasn't the best cut because it had a lot of ligament in it which made it less appetizing unfortunately. Service was fast and friendly and it is handicap accessible for both inside and outside which was helpful for my mom but the chairs outside need some cushions. Parking lot fills up quick most days but there is street parking.

Our entrees were equally as tasty. I ordered the salmon and it was done well! My only personal preference would be to swap the green beans for the collards next time--the green beans just weren't cooked quite the way I prefer. That said, everything else was really enjoyable. Overall, a great meal at an equally great price. We were pleasantly surprised to walk out for under $65 without ordering drinks. Definitely felt like a great value, and we'd happily come back!

There is a huge empty booth right in the front across from the hostess stand, no one was sitting there, we asked if we could sit there for just a moment to cool off in the AC- we were rudely told no we had to wait outside. The next family in line included 2 elderly women and a baby all dressed gorgeous, they also were told they had to wait outside in 105 weather. After about 20 minutes of waiting, (I was just going to tell them to forget it) they said our table was ready. Well, instead of inside with AC as we requested we were seated in a gazebo porch area that they claimed had AC. By this time we were so desperate for cool, we didn't argue that we had requested INSIDE not whatever this room was. It ended up being like sitting in a tuna can. So uncomfortable, my husband and bro in law just went and sat in the car with the AC blasting. Waitress was sporadic to put it nicely. Meanwhile, back inside the booth across from the hostess stand was still empty. Food was fine. But I don't think this place will be around much longer.

When they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with warm bread and house-made herbed butter on the house, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. We started with the Lamb Lollipops and the Slow-Braised Pork Belly, and both were exceptional. The flavors were rich, balanced, and incredibly well executed. Every bite was cooked to perfection and left us excited for the next course. My spouse had the Bone-In Pork Rib Chop with roasted peaches, haricot verts, roasted poblano cornbread, and pickled peach mustard. This dish was absolutely phenomenal. Every component complemented the others beautifully. The sweetness of the peaches, the slight tang of the mustard, the savory pork, and the cornbread all came together in a way that felt thoughtful and perfectly balanced. It wasn't just delicious, it was memorable. To finish, we shared the Mascarpone Cheesecake with oat and almond crumble and summer berry ice cream. Heavenly doesn't even begin to describe it. It was light, creamy, and decadent without being overly sweet. Combined with the crumble and berry ice cream, it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. Every single bite we had seemed to melt in our mouths. The quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, and the flawless execution were evident in every dish. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers exceptional food, outstanding service, and a truly special dining experience, The Stables at Belmont should be at the top of your list. There was plenty of fresh crab, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. My husband ordered the chicken paillard and loved it. Service on the rooftop was extremely slow, several menu items were unavailable, our order was incorrect, and the overall experience fell far short of expectations. To their credit, management reached out, listened to the feedback, and invited our group back to give them another chance. I'm very glad we did. This time we dined in the downstairs dining room, which has a beautiful moody-chic library atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. Our server, Sophie, was friendly, attentive, efficient, and everything service should be. The cocktails were all scrumptious and served in beautiful glassware. We started with the short rib and mac-and-cheese egg rolls, which were delicious. For entrees, our group ordered the Greek grain bowl, shrimp and grits, banh mi, Cobb salad, and Caesar salad. The Greek grain bowl was enormous--I gave it my best effort and still took home nearly a third of it. More importantly, every dish was excellent. No notes to give. Everything was top-notch. What impressed me most wasn't that the restaurant had a bad night the first time around. Every restaurant can have an off day. What impressed me was how seriously the feedback was taken and how dramatically different the second experience was. Manager Charlie Illes stopped by our table during the visit and played a major role in turning things around for us. The difference between our first and second visits was night and day. Harry's earned this revised review through accountability, hospitality, and execution. I'll absolutely be back based on this experience.

I really enjoyed the margarita but not sure I tasted much watermelon . No complaints about the upper east side- a solid bourbon drink. We always get the shrimp oreganata for an appetizer and it was very good, but the bread did not seem very fresh and there was certainly not enough of it. We were told we would get more, but we never got it. I did enjoy my apricot spinach salad with salmon, but my husband and my friend weren't super impressed with garlic and thyme, butter salmon. Just not enough flavor.
