When you arrive, you enter your phone number on an iPad to check-in. You can then pick out the polish color you want to use. I got a mani pedi combo. I started with the pedi first. The water soak felt nice and I enjoyed the massage chair. The nail techs all speak to each other in Vietnamese. There's a lot of talking. But, they don't really talk to their clients. They also answer the phone while they are doing your nails. I think that's rude. There is no designated person at the front. It's seems like they take turns answering the phone and cashing people out. My mani was next and started with a white soup bowl of warm water with a lemon and a rose petal. All of the techs seem to work fast, their shirts covered in nail dust and dead skin. After my mani pedi, I was asked to sit for 20-minutes at a table with a built-in fan for my finger and toenails to dry. They accept credit cards for the services but tips are cash only. I asked to do a dip with a tip (something I have done at this location before) and one of the workers got very upset by this and started arguing with the other workers in front of me. The same guy who got upset about my nail request started telling me that my nails were too short to add a tip (again something I've done at this location before when my nails were even shorter) again he got upset and started arguing with me to do gel. My nails look nothing like the reference picture I showed them. They told me I couldn't use the colors I originally wanted (which I've had done at this location before). Overall the environment and vibe was really hostile and uncomfortable. They did not care about what I wanted. If you want a good set of acrylics (no matter the shape or length) go see Vee! Ive been coming here for years but I just started going to her and I love her! She did an amazing job on my full set. They haven't broken let alone chipped yet! I do take great care of my nails and rarely break them but often after 3-4 weeks they will have a crack or chip and these grew out beautifully. I went in to get a fill today and she did them in a timely manner. I often like to get French tip colors so today she threw on some little crystals no charge! I've been in Michigan 6 years and finally found a place that checks all the boxes. # 1 is my nails have to look good (they are perfect) , 2 the service (I cant believe that in a place where they probably have 100 customers they remember my name. cleanliness and #3 availability. This place is a hidden gem and hasn't gotten ridiculously busy yet, so there aren't super long wait times and they were able to get me in the same day for an appointment. #4 close proximity to where I live ...and a bonus, the pedicure massage is the best! So this review is mainly for everything and everyone besides Ken. Ken and Ben are the best nail techs there but the girl that did my toes deserves capital punishment. This place never has a wide range or colors of if you like a certain color the polish is either old and streaky or they don't have it available. They've updated the salon since I've been going there but don't invest money in their polish so most of the time I have to bring my own colors (crazy and extra but have no other option) I booked an appointment with Ken but as always they're overbooked even if you have an appointment. I was asked if someone else could do my toes, I reluctantly agreed because I didn't want to spend 2 hrs in the salon (which ended up happening anyway) I wanted a yellow for my toes, the only had one option and I could tell the polish was old and gloopy. Instead of putting effort into my pedicure the lady nail tech was interviewing me about my job and where I went to college. I'm all for small talk when getting your nails or hair done but she started asking me how much I paid for college and how many weeks of training I got for a job? Like sis calm down and focus on my toes. She cut my toe nails so short and rounded them even though I asked for square toes. Now I have nubs for toes. The yellow polish kept glooping and when I asked to fix it she globed it on some more and now my toes are either splotchy or chunky in certain areas. She "attempted" to scrub my feet and "massage"them. I get more of a scrub scratching my legs and more of a massage wearing my Adidas sandals, literally pathetic. I spent $65 for dip nails and that shitty pedicure. If you do happen to be a risk taker and come to this salon ONLY ASK FOR KEN OR BEN. Horrible service!! I went for a pedicure. I had a guy do it and I think, I am not 100% sure, his name was Tony. It was a quick 20 minute pedi and he wasn't paying attention. He was staring off at the door. Perhaps he was waiting for someone else. In addition, I asked for change to tip him and he gave me two $5.00's. No singles. Assuming I was giving him a $5.00 bill for a 20 minute rushed, sloppy pedicure! I met another client that told me she had a nail appointment at a specific time and she was waiting for her appointment. They sent her next store to grab lunch while she waited. She told me that her nail tech does two peoples nails at once so your 40 minute nail appointment turns Into a 3 hour appointment between waiting and the nail tech handling 2 people. The first time I came in she did a really good job but the times after that I had an older gentleman and he was shaking really bad and cut my cuticle and did a bad job. The pedicure was ok but during the manicure, the guy cut off my cuticle so badly that it didn't stop bleeding For 30 minutes at the very least...he tried to add more chemical to make it stop but it just made it worse. I was pretty nervous by the end of it. They were nice enough to waive the fee and also offered a free repaint. the manager was nice and eventually helped stop the bleeding. They do not have a price list posted. So you never know what they will charge! Price differs from visit to visit. They must have new owners because the prices have gone way up. Maybe because they are in Northville, they think they can charge what they want and nobody will complain. You can get the same service in Livonia, cheaper. This was the most odd experience I have ever had. I was in Michigan visiting my fiancé's family. His aunt, mother, and I wanted to treat ourselves to manicures and pedicures. His aunt and I opted for manicures while his mother wanted a pedicure. When we walked in we were told to choose a color, of course. No one told us to sign in or anything, as we were walking in with no appointments. His aunt was taken right away and I was sitting on the couch waiting for someone to acknowledge me. His mother was sitting in the pedicure seat with her feet soaking in water for over 30 minutes with no one going over to her. She ended up texting me saying that if the Aunt finished before anyone came over to us that we would just leave. I agreed. Right when we were about to go-the owner, whose name is "Nini"-sat down and put my hands in a soak. She pushed down my cuticles and after no longer than two minutes of working on me, got up and went to another person. I kid you not, she was doing three different people's nails at the same time. Instead of telling people that they were unable to take them, obviously the owner wanted money and kept accepting everyone although they didn't have enough people to help everyone who kept walking in. Finally someone went over to Adam's mother's pedicure seat. Adam's Mom addressed the issue of my manicurist playing musical chairs and the pedicurists had quite the response. She said that the employees/other nail technicians were very unhappy working for her. Not only does she not treat them right, but she is also unsanitary and money hungry. I was very surprised to hear this side of the story from Adam's mother who was trying to enjoy a pedicure while I was trying to get my manicurist to pay attention to me. When she wasn't skipping around to other seats, she was coughing on my nails and also looking up at the phone, looking over at people walking in, looking at the other nail technicians, etc. It seemed that she would rather be anywhere else in the world but doing my nails. The pedicurist mentioned that you are supposed to take the nail wax bag out every time after someone dips their hands in, she said she will leave it there all day and that it's incredibly unsanitary just to save money. Adam's Mom texted me to not use the waxing so I did not. Be advised, those of you who do decide to go here to get a service done - the employees are unhappy, the place is supposedly unsanitary, and you will be waiting a long time to get hey disengaged, somewhat sloppy service. read more

I had an appointment today for 4pm. I didn't get to sit on the chair til 4:35 which was irritating bc I had the appointment for 4 and it was totally brushed off like no big deal. The person who worked on my nails maybe worked on them a total of 15 min tops and the entire time was checking the iPad and rushing on my nails but there were no other clients that were waiting on her. She shaped my nails so ugly then stated "next time you can get other shape" ok... well she made them looking fat and uneven shaped while also having color on the cuticles and on the actual nail skins itself plus got a bunch of dirt stuck on them from the powder and accused me of washing my hands with soap as to why they look like that. Actually it was the fact that she wasn't paying any attention to my nails and just put clear coat over the dirt. Then she dismissed me so rudely by stating twice " ok you're all set" and to myself I was thinking ok I'm checking out my nails because I do not like them! I Did not get any goodbye greeting or thanks from this nail tech. I was shocked because I've been told they're so amazing but honestly not worth all the hype. Paid 45$ and now needing to go somewhere else to get them removed and redone. Thanks a lot northville nails for the ugly nails! I will attach pics. And to reply to your comment that you have left... there is no misunderstanding at all at least not from my part but YOUR tech DID NOT ask if I wanted tips nor did she mention that my nails will look that horrible after SHE decided to file them down a whole lot when I mentioned I didn't want them short because my nails were a decent length. Your tech NEVER asked if the length was ok she rushed through my nails like nothing I've ever seen before. I waited 35 min after my appointment for no one to say sorry for waiting as I DID have an appointment which was 4pm. And let's say IF she did ask me if length was ok.. at that point the nails were filed down so much that nothing could be done? Not once was I asked if the length was okay or if I was okay with the nails prior to the dipping process. Also I didn't ask for my nails to be uneven I'm sure NO customer walks through your door and says shape my nails different from each other. Well mine are uneven and different shapes from other nails . I'm not sure how any customer is suppose to be ok with this? I've never had a nail tech be that dismissive towards me and rushing me through the door like your tech did! How do you respond to bubbles and the dirt from the powder trapped on top of the nail or the red color painted all over the cuticles? Your tech blamed me and didn't do anything to fix it! The men doing the nails watched the football game on the TV. No asking if we wanted water or a magazine. Seriously just about every other place except Tulip in Novi is worth a try before coming here. The lady next to me got up and left when she saw how poorly they treat their customers. Comes in smelling of cigarettes and farting when he's doing the nails. Was filing my skin and laughing. Speaking about you and laughing with your co-worker and making fun of my daughter's long feet, insulting. Appointments do not seem to matter here. On my fist visit to this salon I waited a full 35 minutes and I had an appointment. Two weeks later I went back and gave them a 2nd shot. I was finally seated over 20 minutes later (again with an appointment). When the acrylic fill in was done, he charged me an extra $5 because my nails needed to be filed down. In 25 years of acrylic nails, never once - at any salon - I have ever been charged extra to have my nails filed down. So ladies, a $25 fill in is actually $30. Never going back. So I walked in just for a pedicure, there was 1 other person getting her nails done and about 4 employees sitting around doing nothing. The girl that did do my nails acted as if the place had a line out the door. She rushed through everything, I didn't even get a chance to soak my feet. When it came time to pay, I asked if I had to add the tip to the bill or if I was able to add it it at the bottom, she asks if I hvw cash on me and after asking someone else she proceeds to say "we can do it this time but next time we can't."
