What a great shop this is! I just found them a few weeks ago. I had work done on my Acura at a…read moregarage in Eugene and the problems weren't only not fixed but created a problem with my A/C. Jerry was so nice and scheduled to check out the car a few days out. I dropped off my car and the mechanic went over the issues I had: speedometer cable broken and replaced Idle control not working. Come to find out, my A/C wasn't working right either. The shop is very clean, as is the waiting area and bathroom. They had coffee and water available to drink while I waited. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time. I was warned that the A/C issue might involve having to remove the dash inside the car to find the problem and might be a pricey fix. Ugh. I was preparing for the worse and praying for the best. The speedometer cable was not broken but disconnected. Huge cost savings there and impt. because the part was no longer being manufactured. The Idle control part that was put on by the Eugene mechanics and didn't fix the idle problem wasn't the necessary part to fix the idle problem. My car has a manual transmission. It has two Idle control parts not one which is what automatic transmissions have. The one that was replaced was for hot starts...the one I needed was for cold starts which would solve both cold and hot start idle issues. I found a used fast idle control assembly part online and that fix was properly fixed now. The fix made by the garage in Eugene to address the fan issue for the radiator was not fixed. Mainly because the problem wasn't the fan but a dead battery. The Eugene mechanics repair that was made was to add a timer and sensor which, not only wasn't necessary but ended up being the cause of the A/C unit not working. It was blowing the A/C fuse making the A/C not work. Thankfully the dash wasn't taken out so the fix was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I am grateful for good and honest mechanics. I am frustrated with having to go back to my previous mechanic and try to get some money back on the work they did but I'm going to try. Wayne's is my new Acura mechanic.

I rarely ever write reviews, and when i do they are positive ones, but I wouldn't be able sleep…read morewell at night if i didn't warn others with my experience at JT auto. I had my civic towed to JT auto repair after experiencing charging system problems. I had assumed it was the alternator based on typical failing alternator symptoms occurring. I had written on the key drop slip and left a message on the phone saying that it was a probable alternator failure. once they called me, they had said the alternator was "fine" and it was just a dead battery, then they tried to charge me $300 just in labor for battery replacement, $450 total... thats a whole bad review in itself, but not the reason i am writing this. After getting my car back from JT auto, within the first 15 miles of driving it, my car died while on the road again, and i once again had to get towed to a shop, this time obviously not to JT auto. Turns out, it was a failing alternator! and after a few tests, a different shop immediately noticed the voltages were all over the place. As for JT trying to charge $300 labor for a battery replacement, i can understand high labor prices for quality work, but theres is absolutely no reason or excuse to be charging $300 for a battery change that any auto parts store will do for free. And as for the alternator, nothing is more irritating than breaking down on the side of the road, and having to get towed just a couple days after having your car in the shop and paying almost $200 for the initial inspection. they had plenty time with my car, and had charged me plenty for an overall check up on the car, the least they could have done was test the alternator an extra time or two considering my concerns. I had been to JT a couple times in the past, but I will no longer recommend this shop to anyone, especially as a woman, considering how often shops try to majorly over charge us. proceed with extra caution if you ever decide to take a car here, i am extremely disappointed with how little care they put into diagnosing my car, as well as the severe overcharging
