Went in for a hitch install. Good so far. I indicated it would be used for pulling a trailer. Got to U-Haul and OOPS, no wiring. I assumed that was part of install and RAT never asked or offered the option. Their negligence cost me about $1000 extra. Cannot recommend! read more

Had the best possible experience today! I came in a little after 10am and was greeted immediately Dylan. I explained that I was very new at this and had not done much research. Dylan did an incredible job breaking down the differences between brands and styles and shared some really valuable advice around the mechanisms to install and remove the cargo boxes and also told me about Rack Rewards which gave us a few nice perks if we were to buy there. Seriously, I've been waiting here for thirty minutes, and there is one other customer in the store. The "sales" guy hasn't even acknowledged my existence....In 30 minutes! Even the other customer told him to help me out, and he ignored her and continued to talk to the other customer and her husband. This place is totally great. I needed to take my Yakima roof racks off a car I was trading in and asked for instructions on how to do this. Winston not only told me how to do this but voluntarily pitched in and took them off the roof for me. Way above and beyond. They subsequently put the new racks on my new car and did it in 15 minutes. The customer service at this location is simply outstanding. They do not use any high pressure sales techniques and are just interested in ensuring you are satisfied with your purchase or service. I called about getting a hitch receiver on a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. I knew it could be done - by UHaul, but I'd heard good things about Rack Attack so I wanted to check with them too. They said that neither Curt nor Draw-Tite sold the part for my car so they couldn't help me. They WOULD NOT listen when I said that I had found the part by both Curt and Draw-Tite online. I know I can get the hitch installed elsewhere, but I'm pretty disappointed by my experience. It looks like most everyone else has positive reviews though so maybe Rack Attack Tigard folks were just having an off day and the listening problems are unusual. Rack Attack really helped me out today. I needed to return a bike rack that I hadn't purchased from them. I tried to dissemble it,but it was locked in place. UPS wanted to charge $60 for a box big enough to ship the assembled rack in(nope). I tried in vain to find a big enough box. Finally,out of desperation I called Rack Attack. I just wanted some advice on how to take it apart. I had tried everything that the bike rack company said to do. Collin told me to bring it in and he'd give it a shot.
