Above and Beyond! Outstanding Service & a Great Company Culture…read moreI cannot say enough good things about the team at Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers in Chesterfield, MO! I had to stop in without an appointment because the skid plate cover under my front end suddenly fell loose and was dragging loudly on the highway. When I walked in, I saw how incredibly busy they were and honestly thought there was no way they'd be able to help me right away. Fortunately, I was completely wrong. The front service writer acknowledged how slammed they were, but instead of turning me away, he went above and beyond. He told me he'd head to the back to see if a mechanic could spare just a few minutes to get me safely back on the highway. He returned shortly with a mechanic named Jonathon Boyer. Jonathon didn't hesitate for a second--he said he'd take care of it right away, and he did exactly that. In less than ten minutes, Jonathon had the skid plate repaired and brought my car right back up to me. That level of genuine, rapid customer service is so incredibly rare nowadays. I truly tip my hat to Dobbs, the service writer, and Jonathon for saving my day. An extra note on why this location is top-notch: It was a brutally hot day, and I felt so bad for the mechanics having to endure that intense heat. While waiting, I noticed that the company had cold Gatorades and even electrolyte popsicles set out to keep their crew hydrated and cool. Seeing how well Dobbs takes care of their team speaks volumes. If I were a mechanic, this is exactly where I would want to work. Thank you again, Chesterfield Dobbs team! You've earned a customer for life.

They had good reviews, so I felt like I wouldn't be sold a bunch of "extra bs" because I am a woman. I was a little shocked at the price of an oil change on my vehicle ($150+) but because I had waited so long, that's on me. The waiting area is nice and comfortable, with clean restrooms. After my service was complete, they brought out my paperwork. According to them, my passenger axle was "busted", I needed all new tires and all new brakes. I just paid for my oil change and told them I would have my regular mechanic check everything out. When I went to check my paperwork, I noticed they had charged me for someone else's service! My regular mechanic also just replaced my brakes two months prior to this, rotated my tires and examined the tread, and then checked the supposed busted axle and found all of them to be fine and in working order. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back if I needed too, because the staff was friendly and respectful, but it is not going to become my regular shop.

This is a review for Tire Choice #936 (1250 Old Orchard Center). I had been going to this location…read morefor many, many years and, until the past two years when they seemed to have retention issues with employees, I had received great service/experiences. The first issue was when I contacted them for a specialty service and they quoted me $800. I called three other service stations in the area and received quotes for the same service between $300-$400. The second, and most important, issue I encountered was in Dec. 2025. After doing a lot of research on pricing, rebates, and interest-free options for a new set of tires, they had the best "bang for my buck" and I purchased a set from them in Dec. 2024. I left my car the day before with a note that stated the services needed and that this was to be interest-free and I would be receiving $300 in rebates. I received the rebates, but not the interest-free; which I did not find out until the twelfth month when I went to the credit card website to make sure I had a zero balance. I didn't so I paid it off. But then I thought, "If the transaction amount was under $1,000, I should have only made 10 payments, not 12.". So, I started looking at all of the statements and noticed I had been charged interest monthly. When I called the credit card company on Monday, December 29, 2025, it was stated to me that they were not able to refund the interest of $164.20. However, if I had contacted them after the first month, they would have been able to fix it. I had set the account up with auto payments on my first bill and thought the whole purpose of auto pay was to not have to worry about making payments or checking statements. Also, I did not think it would be necessary to check the statements as it was stated in a note and verbally during checkout this was to be a 12-month interest-free purchase. When I made the first payment, there was no interest. Then, I called and left a message at the store, but nobody returned my call. So, I sent a certified letter to the credit card company with all the information to be reimbursed and they only credited back the last two interest rates totaling $28.43. Seriously?!?! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I contacted the store again and this time was able to talk to someone. They told me that it was the person who completed my transaction that made the mistake as they have to click the interest-free button. This employee said that he didn't know why the other employee didn't hit the button because he always does. Apparently, this was supposed to make me feel better. It did not. Again, told nothing they could do. I say all of this for 1) to get it off my chest - it really ticks me off to lose $130+ especially when I'm on a budget, 2) if you need any specialty work done, get several quotes, and 3) make the employee show you at the time of checkout that they've done the simplest task ever given to a human being and pressed the interest-free button. Thanks for listening.

They have a steady stream of customers coming through the doors all the time. I should know, I've sat here for hours waiting for them to complete service on my vehicle. This time I had an appt to fix a leaky tire - they found a nail- and a state inspection. They got to the nail right away but now 90 minutes waiting here, they still haven't started my inspection. If you consider trying them I'd suggest dropping your vehicle rather than waiting. If you're in a hurry it may be a frustrating experience. The last time I was here, I had an appt for wheel alignment. My spot was pushed back 90 minutes after I arrived. They said they were shot handed. They finally completed their work 3.5 hours later. I still trust them more than those weasels over at Dobbs though.... UPDATE- Ok, after almost two hours I'm done. The guys finished off great and were highly professional. I feel guilty for complaining. I don't believe the slow service is because of the employees. Management needs to review their staffing needs and adjust. They didn't try to add anything, and I appreciated the honesty and went ahead with them to get new front tires. Service is very speedy and the waiting room has comfortable seating while you wait. I then have them sent directly to Discount Tire, who notifies me when they've arrived. I can either schedule an installation appointment - or just drop by. My experience here has been that they usually underpromise and overdeliver, especially when it comes to estimating how long I'll be waiting. They had installed the tire incorrectly and damaged the break pads in a way where they were constantly engaged. Pads, rotors, calipers (which I didn't need) and pressure hoses. Picked up my kids from school this past Friday and my pedal went to the floor. Luckily i eventually stopped without an accident. Brake fluid spewing out from a line where the "technician" attached the new hose. Got it towed out there that same night. No communication in the morning, until I reached out to them. The service mngr calls and says "we quoted you for the 20" piece of brake line ($38) fluid flush ($140) labor ($499). A total of $703 after tax. Very frustrating after the money I just spent in June. I asked if they could have it done Saturday. They called told me it would not be done by Saturday and would roll into the following week. Still very frustrated, I agreed for them to do it. They agreed to do the work. I found a ride to work Monday no big deal. I get a call Monday morning from the service manager (Rob). Rob tells me I need to get my truck out of their lot because they are no longer interested in doing the work. Paid $270 to have it towed to a shop in the city. The gentleman that did the work had it done in less than an hr. Part, labor, bleed system ($250) out the door. He told me that Dobbs had their hands on that piece of line and had to notice the rust. Just wanted to double charge on labor I guess. Dobbs is a joke. Literally take your car anywhere else. Anywhere! Go to Costco for tires. Dobbs has gone corporate and it's showing. The store supervisor (Mark R) I spoke with today kind of chuckled when I asked him about a possible reimbursement for the tow.
