Really blown away by the service here. My car broke down at the top of the hill on Woodley. I was worried that mechanics wouldn't be open during the stay-at-home orders, so I called in to make sure they were open. Mike is really straightforward and honest. He fixes the problem quick, without trying to over diagnose or price gouge you. Always weary of going to other mechanics other than my dad, but I came back to work in less than an hour and recommended him to all of my staff. Had bought a bmw and went to see if they could do a inspection for me. They Said it was 200$ for full inspection. I said okay because I wanted to know what was wrong with the car. He gives me a day and time the car will be ready and then that time comes and he says tomorrow. Putting other clients before me when it's been days. Then he calls me and tells me he can't see what's wrong with the car until he does the complete coolant service. Charged me 600$ just to tell me my car needs a new head gasket. why didn't he just do a compression test on the cylinders instead ? Instead of charging me 600$ he could of just done a real inspection for me but these people just want your money. The old guy talks a good one and the mechanic is his son that pretends he doesn't speak English so he won't have to talk to anybody. I've used Mike's shop before when I owned my Altima. He has a great attitude, is honest and fair. This time I brought my Kia Soul. I'd brought it to the dealership for it's initial tune up a while back because it was running rough so I asked them to check the timing. When I got it back it was still running rough and was told that's how Souls run. I didn't mention this to Mike when I dropped it off. Well.....when I was driving the car home...surprise! Brought my Truck to Mike after another mechanic had told me, after 4 days of having my truck, they didnt know why my AC wasnt working and that they were just going to change the whole system for $800. I agree with reviews, Mike is straight forward on dealing with car issues and prices he's quotes is very competitive to other auto shops. Brought in my co workers Honda car, cos someone stole the whole catalytic converter. He did the job is less than 3 hours. He cleared out the engine warnings and at 180k the honda still runs great. I took my Honda accord to Norwood Auto Care because it was having issues turning on. I was immediately greeted by the owner Harmik. He took the time to listen to the problem and advised that he would have his team look at the possible issues right away as I waited in the office. They quickly assessed the issue with the engine and advised when the part would be arriving. Price was very reasonable versus the outrageous Dealer prices. They fixed the car as soon as the part arrived. I have since taken it to them for all issues including nails in my tire, alternator, electric, and engine issues. They are truly experience professionals and not looking out to rip you off. Highly recommend then for any service. read more
