We came for some fish and chips. I am from Massachusetts and have. It had decent fish and chips for a long time. I got here and my wife got the fish and chips, and I got the Tikka Masala, I know I have issues. ;) The kids got the mini corndogs and a hamburger. Everything was great and fresh. The corndogs were freshly made, the fish was fresh and seemed to be battered in the kitchen. The curry was amazing! The right amount of heat (medium) and flavour. We will be back!!! read more

Very helpful bartender. I am looking forward to the Shepard's pie here. The Diet Coke sbd shepards pie were very good here. I thought the food and service here both times that we came here . The bartender had been helpful both times even offering to get me a cup of Diet Coke but all I needed was a cup for the huge Diet Coke I had. Had a great time here! We reserved the back room for a private party. Even though it was a Friday night and the rest of the place was busy, the staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure everyone in our group was having a great time. My wife and went there for St. Patrick's Day Guiness and Fish and Chips. The food was great, nice portions and reasonably priced. We've been looking for a good Fish and Chip place and think we've found it. The "chips" aren't traditional, but if you can get over that they're actually better than plain old chips. Great atmosphere, amazing service, great food.......But..... Found this place on accident and was pleasantly surprised by the great beer selection and delicious menu however our entire visit was plagued by having to constantly move tables to get away from the people "vaping" inside the restaurant. I would love to come back at some point but after being fogged out during our meal I doubt I will give them a second chance. I was going to complain but with so many patrons partaking it was very clear that this is the atmosphere they promote. If you can tolerate vaping please come here, the food is great. I for one, won't be coming back. :( read more

Nosh and Bevy has a dark and lived in feel. Inside there is a bar area, and spacious seating area. Not much interior design, just basic tables and booths. All of which are staples of a good typical British pub. They have a dart board in the elevated section. We found a booth and sat ourselves, and very soon after a lovely waitress came to serve us. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They have a full bar, and an OK beer selection. I would stick to the beer here as the cocktail I had was just OK. The menu highlighted classic British pub fare such as - bubbles and squeak, a selection of curries, fish and chips, and lots of fried food options. My friends and I each tried something different and shared a couple of items to try everything out. The waffle fries and fried pickles were favorites. The fried pickles had delicious thick pickles with a light breading. They were VERY good, amongst some of the better ones I have had in my life. The waffle fries were also deliciously addictive. The fried fish could be improved. My friends enjoyed their curry and pulled pork sandwich. Their menu choices were definitely the table winners of the night. My wings were slightly oily and subpar. I should have stuck with the British food. Next time I will go with the curry. read more

Meh. Place was almost empty of decor, soul, and people. Music so loud we figured it was the staff trying to give the place an impression of life. We were so disappointed we were about to leave but decided to at least run up a check consisting of more than a beer and a water. I'd say the first item to try at a place advertising English roots would be fish-n-chips, and we were actually glad we did. The waffle fries seemed to be batter dipped and seasoned quite well, which is always a treat, since most fries of any kind you get these days barely even have salt! The fish was obviously made to order, and while its batter was also seasoned, it could have used another shake. Almost no grease for either item! So I'd say we may come back sometime in the summer to try the bangers/mash and curry. Maybe by then they will have had time and money to pep up the decor and give it some merry ole England personality, which the name of the place demands. read more

The food is very good for bar food. The fish and chips are excellent, as well as, the curry.

I seriously don't understand how this place got such good reviews. We came in about 7:45 or a Saturday night, sat down at a table, but they were so understaffed that no one even noticed we were here. Finally, we thought the bartender was going to come over and wait on us, but no, she was going to help another table that came in AFTER us. She ended up going back to that table THREE TIMES, with us yelling and waving from about 20 feet away, but she never even looked our direction. We finally just went to the bar and ordered. The food was just as bad as the service. It was seriously the worst fish and chips I've ever had. The "chips" were frozen waffle fries, and the "fish" was really mostly undercooked breading. Not only that, but it was so greasy it was almost inedible. If you decide to brave this place, it should just be for the bar. There is NOTHING English about the food. read more

I ventured out tonight and got the Chipotle Ranch Chicken Sandwich with a side of sauteed spinach and garlic (veggie of the day) it was super tasty! I went there tonight with a coworker after a 12 hour day of work looking to decompress with a few beers. I seen there crappy draft selection of about 5 beers and decided on the coffee porter. The bartender gives great head as my beer once settled was 85% full.I asked for my beer to be topped off and he begrudgingly accepted my request after arguing with me. I was met be a coworker who joined me and was refused service because he's not a fast tallker. Thomas the bartender (guy with Dorothy Hamil haircut, the short and sassy look) thought he was drunk. I assured him we just got off work and suffered a stroke a few years back. My coworker than asked for a Coke and was refused. This bartender is a real piece of work and is ripping off his patrons by giving huge head.I seen him pour a draft for some girls that was 20% head. No wonder why the 6 ppl in there on a Sat night were drinking out of cans. Go down the road a piece to Pinthouse Pizza ! Friendly folks with GREAT beer and pizza. This place is dark and filthy dump. Really glad what Baby Blues & Sarovar turned into. Great laid back environment. Not pretentious at all. Great friendly bar staff, & my god...the best food!!! I had the cheese burger: juicy, delicious, yummy little nugget!!! with waffle fries---freaking awesome. My husband had the shepherd's pie & said it was the best he had ever had. Seriously, go here! I really enjoy coming here, they have a good drink selection and good food and usually have kind, friendly employees. I like the atmosphere a lot, so long as it isn't too crowded, the building is a little small. But it is a great alternative to going downtown, when you just want to hang out and grab a drink with someone. We even went here on New Year's and had a lot of fun without having to deal with crazy downtown traffic and people. They had free toast drinks at midnight and everything.
