    Exhausted I.

My dad showed me this place not too long ago but I absolutely love this place and the amazing people that work here! It's fun to visit when I have the money for comics and I feel like it should get a lot more attention! I love it's location in San Gabriel village too, it feels like a fun find

    Comics... comics everywhere! ^__^

Cool comic book store and the people there were very helpful with my search for the best Spiderman comic to start my sister's collection.

Great selection, the place is a little secluded which can be good and bad. Nice staff

Collector's Paradise is more or less a classic comic book shop featuring new and backissues,…read moregraphic novels, posters, pins, and many other things. The emphasis, though, is primarily new and recent comics. Passing through on a rainy afternoon I was pleased to find its location is near a few important stops in Pasadena, and there's some parking available in the private lot. I was mostly there to check out the selection and see if they specialized in anything unique. Not to say they don't, but it's still a well-stocked store. I was the only customer and enjoyed the classic jazz playing in the background. Pro Tip: Most established comic shops have subscription plans paid annually, or one-time up front. A customer goes through Comic Book Geek to pick their titles and sometimes preferred cover art, and the shop pulls their requests and holds them until the customer picks up the stash.

Now, they were all no Stewart comic book store but out of all of the ones in the area, this was the best by far. Chill vibes, plenty of comics, easy access, and easy to purchase at the end. Only critiques I would give it would be to have a little more for the other collectors. And what I mean by that, have a couple more action figures, Funko, pops, etc. that will probably bring in some more people for sure. The other thing would bethe music playing in the speakers. Didn't care too much for the rock, but still all in all, nice place to go. There's plenty of parking and easy to find.

Apparently Nucleus expanded and opened a second location in Portland in 2016. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking. If parking is not available on Main St, then there are plenty of public parking spots and parking plazas in downtown Alhambra. [Space]: The space is separated into a bookstore at the front with various art books and a rotating art exhibit (Wicked in March 2026) at the back. All art on display is for sale. The bookstore sells mostly art books (both original works and artwork from specific anime, games, or pop culture) as well as various original greeting cards. Tickets are not required to see the exhibit and admission is free. [Conclusion]: A neat spot to see various unique art prints and a free exhibit. Chances are if you are at Nucleus then you are also here to check out other spots in downtown Alhambra (e.g. grabbing tea drinks or visiting other miscellaneous shops).

Price: Free to enter for regular visits. Certain special events may have admission. Artwork,…read moreprints, books, and other merchandise are available for purchase. Location: Located along Alhambra's Main Street area, making a nice place to walk around nearby shops and cafes. Parking is typically found on side streets or nearby lots within a short walking distance. Restrooms are available for patrons and visitors. Ambiance: The gallery is well laid out and spacious, balancing retail display areas with open exhibition space. Artwork sales are positioned toward the front while the main exhibit areas extend across both the first and second floors. Featured artists rotate regularly, giving the space a fresh feel. Menu: If considering what's available for purchase, the gallery focuses on featured artists' works, including prints, original pieces, and related merchandise, along with select items from other artists. Service: Staff are consistently kind and welcoming.

They carry new and old books with VERY large selections. Their manga and comic section is really great, and I love to pop in to see what's new. I think they understand there's lots of art students nearby that love these books! :) Thank you, book alley. They helped me snag a specific book I really wanted to avoid buying from amazon, and couldn't find anywhere else! Make sure, if you're in the same boat, give them a call and ask if they can do the same for you! It might incur a fee, but they got my book to me within a week and I didn't have to pay extra! :) Wahoo!

The staff on the floor are engaging and genuinely helpful when you're searching for a particular find. That said, my experience selling books was disappointing. The process felt impersonal, and the seller/owner was not particularly engaging. One example: I brought in a brand-new book that originally cost $40 and was offered only a $1 store credit. I understand used bookstores have to make a profit, but the experience left me feeling like my books would have been better off in a friend's library. Great place to browse and buy, but I would lower expectations if you're planning to sell.
