On our Vegas trip this weekend, we were looking for karaoke on the strip so we didn't have to worry…read moreabout driving or Uber.. thankfully we saw this place driving to our hotel! It has a very relaxed vibe.. order at the bar, find a seat, sing along! I'm used to karaoke bars that have private rooms, but it's an experience seeing people sing in front of the crowd! My husband and I shared a huge fishbowl cocktail that was deliciously dangerous, but the unexpected star of the show were their fries! I've never seen a potato cut like that and it's something I've never seen - imagine a potato wedge spiral that's not too thick, perfectly crunchy. We got the Parmesan truffle one and the sauce was so good! Cheese curds were also good! Some notes I picked up on.. it looks like you can reserve tables, bathrooms are the public restrooms outside, and it turns into 21 and older after 10 pm. On the Saturday night that we went, they had regular karaoke on stage with the song's music, then they switched over to karaoke with a live band which was pretty cool! We'll definitely be back.. still thinking about those fries!

We were able to sit on bar stools facing the stage. The servers came quickly but we already had our drinks in hand. It was a karaoke bar! We came when it was 10 minutes till last call. There were these cool tables that was like a drum sitting on saxophones idk how to describe it but look at my pictures. When we go back I really want to get myself on stage!

We've been wanting to come out to Echo - Taste & Sound for a hot minute, and FINALLY got to come…read moreout last weekend for a friend's birthday brunch! Echo has events that rotate out, and this Sunday, a friend of ours happened to be performing his Retro Brunch set with live DJ and drumming. Morgan and I got there early and had a drink while we waited for our reservation time. The bartender was an absolute gem. She was super friendly, and makes a mean cocktail!! Drinks were stellar. Standard price for downtown (a little spendy, but in this instance, worth it.) For drinks we ordered: Autumn Serenade: vodka, St. George spiced pear, absinthe, peach nectar, ginger beer Lover Boy: rye whiskey, angostura bitters, orange bitters Neon Tiger: hendrick's gin, yellow chartreuse, campari and an Espresso Martini. My favorites were the Espresso Martini (best in town!) and the Autumn Serenade. So amazing! For food, I had the shrimp and grits, which was ENORMOUS and absolutely delicious. Do I wish that the shrimp were a little bigger? Sure. But that's if I'm being super picky. I am picky about my grits, and these were amazing. I definitely ate more than I should have because they were so flavorful. Morgan ordered the pan fried pork chops and eggs. These were really yummy! Not a huge pork chop fan, and they were done beautifully. The potatoes were phenomenal, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. We also ordered the deviled eggs, and they were so good. Morgan doesn't really eat mayo, and he loved these. A must order. Our friend's mom also offered us a taste of the beignets, and they were light, pillowy, and so good. Both sauces were crave worthy. I will definitely get those myself next time. Service was great, and the music was awesome. I love the atmosphere here, and honestly cannot wait to come back for some different events. I think they have an R&B/Hip Hop night that we would like to come back for. Huge thanks to Chef and the staff of Echo Taste and Sound. We will absolutely be back, and soon!!

I just discovered it recently and I love going with my friends every other Friday to dance with…read moreLatin Breeze because the atmosphere is great. It's a band that sounds very good, has excellent musicians, the horn section is exceptional, and the singers are outstanding. However, I would suggest that they add more songs because there comes a point when we get bored dancing to the same music. And as for the DJ who plays music when the band is on break, the only word I have to describe him is: HORRIBLE. He is very repetitive and does not accept suggestions from customers. I can understand that he wants to play music from all Latin American countries, but salsa is much more international and EVERYONE dances to it, whereas the "local" music he plays, like "caballito", is very boring.

My friend's got a table this past Saturday & we're told that it's $25 minimum per person which I think is ridiculous. What if some of your people in your party don't drink alcohol? Spending $25 in non-alcoholic drinks is crazy. I think it should be @ least a $25 minimum per table. I decided to get a bucket of seltzers (5 total) & was able to mix & match with some High Noons & White Claws and the waitress said they were both the same price per can. I would have thought that the High Noons would have cost more since they're vodka base. I went with a bucket because one of my friend's said the cocktail waiters wasn't very attentive. I saw her come to our table once. The place wasn't completely full. The one thing that I didn't like was the bartender opened all my seltzers so when the I r started to melt they were trying to tip over which would of resulted in them spilling and ice water filling up into the cans....dumb Staff has always been nice when I've been in here. Two weekends ago I sat @ the star during Zowie Bowie. Female bartender was attentive. Place has always been clean. It's non-smoking. There is a small dance floor if you want to get your groove on. I like this little show room. I've never seen a cover charge to get inside which is always nice. Bathrooms are right outside. There is a wheel chair accessible ramp to get in & out.
