I've been by here twice and both times the band was set to play and started their set, then had problems and took another HOUR to get everything fixed and play. There is a huge selection of hard liquor, but don't stop here for a good tap craft beer. There is a grand total of maybe 5 beers on tap, and their only IPA is Elephant Rock, which is tired. We live in a state with fantastic breweries, and tons of great IPA's, Haze's, Ciders, etc... I wonder if they only stock certain beers as part of an exclusive vendor agreement...it sure isn't to keep their local customers happy, or coming back! It's eerily similar to their partner restaurant Bourbon Brothers. Lots of liquor, but thats where selection stops. The short encounters I've had with their staff have been awesome, they are not to blame for the myriad of corporate shortcomings here. Bummer that it's about the dollar and not customer! read more

What a cool little spot! Our family of 6 stopped by on our drive down to Colorado Springs. We weren't sure what to expect and didn't realize it was breakfast Buffett. We decided to go with it and it was well worth it! They had live music and had enough variety in the buffet for all members of our family (ages 4 through 65) to enjoy! Went for the first time for Mother's Day. First of all, nowhere stated that the buffet price was more for Mother's Day. Online it's advertised at $22, but instead we were charged $33 at the end of our meal. None of the food was fresh and hard and cold. Also, made a reservation online but was told that the reservation doesn't mean that you have a time and we still waited upwards of 20 to 30 minutes for our table. Would not recommend. Tried finding someone to contact regarding the discrepancy and price but there's no contact. Also, don't advertise that you have buy one, get one on mimosas and then offer a military discount and say that only one can be applied at a time. Notes Jazz and Blues Brunch was a great hangover cure. Jazz music will start playing on Saturdays starting at 10am, but I would recommend getting a table a half hour before then. The newly renovated Notes has a small but delicious breakfast menu with mimosa options, and the service was fast and full of energy. The Keto Bowl had a perfect combination of peppers, eggs, sausage, and spice all mixed together, with fresh spinach. I will definitely be returning for it! Loved this place. Never been here before. Had a couple gift certificates to use. Ambiance of the place is excellent, rock star pics, dark woods and walls, u shaped bar. One section has booths and low tables. Area near band was high tops. Food and drink were reasonably priced. We had the chicken salad and also Southwest egg rolls. Both used totally fresh ingredients and were very tasty. Drinks we had Dolly Parton, Old Fashioned, Skrewball and coke, merlot. All were well priced and tasted great. The server Brian was outstanding. Drinks and food served in timely fashion. The band playing was Red Rock Rebellion. Music was from 60s-90s. Great tunes. In regards to the weekend Buffet at Notes. As a long time restaurant worker from server to bartender to management, I would like to express some feedback. I love that you're offering this! There are not too many buffets around the area and I love a good Buffet brunch. Not a fan of only pork products for meat options. Consider shrimp, salmon, beef carving. You had a ham carving station, sausages, only a sausage meat option for the omelettes, bacon, eggs Benedict with ham,. Also, never was AlL of the food options available at any given time. Potatoes were available with pancakes and omelette. They ran out of fruit, bacon, French toast, eggs Benedict. This made for the customers to have to continuously walk back-and-forth, back-and-forth, back-and-forth, looking to fill their plate and had to use multiple plates, to serve themselves all the options. And never were all of the options available, once some ran out they were not replenished, this was around noon time but the buffet was open until 2 PM There needs to be more fruit and vegetable options, like a nice spring salad that includes lettuce and fresh fruits maybe some nuts, goat cheese. That would be nice. More desserts besides cut up cookies The $25 price tag it is basically too much for subpar options and service. I do hope things improve including the service. There was a long line at the door so I was forced to sit at the bar and was never acknowledged for a drink or silverware. I had to flag the manager down to get a roll of silverware. Good luck! Went for Sunday morning brunch on 8/19 and the food was terrible. The biscuits were stale and dry, and the gravy to put on top of them was mealy and just terrible. Then cheap, store brought muffins and pastries you would see at a Comfort Inn free breakfast. There are certainly better options in the area for breakfast/brunch for the money. read more

We had a really great experience here for the jazz brunch- Christmas edition- last Saturday! First of all, it was somehow buy one get one free plus a free mimosa which was just amazing and helped us be able to afford going. We met some friends and had a really nice time. The jazz music was excellent and it was not too loud- we were able to enjoy conversation comfortably. We really enjoyed the brunch buffet too. I think everyone's favorite was the French toast- there were sweetened strawberries and fresh whipped cream that made it even tastier. There was a good variety of hot items like eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon and potatoes. And there were sweets. And there was an omelet station and that was awesome and I was impressed with the chef making the omelets- he said he runs the kitchen at Bourbon Brothers through the week, does the omelets for brunch at Notes, and then does the food for events in the evenings too- wow! There was a fun drink menu and the mimosas were tasty. Our server Felicia was fantastic- she had a great personality and offered friendly service. And Santa visited our table and posed for pictures! Staff very friendly, but we were seated at a high top right next to bandstand. Jazz music was great. Buffet was ok, but person making our omelette said she wasn't the normal person and it was visibly a mess. I had the absolute worst experience at this establishment on January 14. I will never go back for any reason. I can't even give it one star due to my bad experience with management there. Is there ever a circumstance which warrants a manager screaming at a female customer and using threats and physical intimidation to get her to leave when he is clearly in the wrong? I think not. His behavior was completely unprofessional and acceptable and uncalled for in every way. this establishment will never ever have my business or support in any way. Backstory: I am a firm believer in good customer service, and showing respect to other human beings, and the way I was treated by the manager of Notes literally astounds me. I have been supporting Notes (& the musicians who play there) for the past several months. But no longer will I support this establishment, which is poorly run by management, who have no sense of consideration or respect for their customers. On Jan 14, I came to listen to one of my favorite bands play Saturday morning. I arrived around 10:15am and chose a corner seat at the long bar type community table, in order to have a clear view of the band. I was planing to record some videos to post online. I ordered some food and began to record. The bartender came by and mentioned that there would be others coming to sit at the table soon. I said OK, and smiled at him. There were already several people sitting at the end of the long table, but no one on my side. After the waiter brought my food, I glanced over & noticed someone had placed a sign on the opposite side of the table across from me, something about the spot being reserved. However, there were no notes on my side of the table. The man who had spoken to me earlier came over to me again, and said that he would need me to move because the entire table was reserved, so I needed to move to another table. I replied that there was no sign on my side of the table when I sat down saying that the entire table was reserved. Also, I was with the band, and was needing to sit directly across from them in order to record them clearly. For some reason, the way he was handling the situation really irritated me, especially as it was not clearly marked indicating the entire table was reserved. I asked if he could just get me a to-go box then, because I was leaving. I was finding myself becoming extremely irritated, so I left the area and walked to the main bar area, in order to talk to somebody privately regarding the situation. I was hoping to speak with the manager. The bartender (the same man who I'd just spoken to) came over when he saw me, and I explained to him that I was becoming very upset. I felt that they way he was handling the situation was very inconsiderate to me. The fact that he was basically just telling me to move, without taking into consideration that I had already been seated there, or apologizing for the miscommunication didn't sit right with me. Also, when I was first seated, there was no sign saying that the entire table was reserved. When my server had taken my order this was not mentioned to me, either. I was clearly very upset. So he asked if I would like to speak to a manager. "absolutely, I would love to speak to manager" I replied. The manager came out, clearly briefed and already on the defensive to address the situation. I explained the situation, and explained that I thought the way it had been handled felt very inconsiderate and rude. He immediately began to argue with me instead, saying there were signs all over the place. (which there weren't) I'll take you over there and show them to you myself!" he said in a very aggressive manner. I replied that there was only one small sign, opposite where I was seated on the other side of the community table. He then proceeded to become extremely red in the face and began to gesture & speak to me in a very physically aggressive manner, saying that I needed to leave his establishment as I was no longer welcome there. "I need to get my purse!" I said, as I walked over to the other area where everyone was seated. He began following me, yelling that I needed to leave his establishment right now or he would call the cops. He began blocking me & keeping me from getting my purse or my things, and continued blocking me from saying goodbye, or from telling the band that I was leaving. His behavior was extremely rude & disrespectful & completely unprofessional to me, in every way. Finally, I began yelling back, for everyone to hear that I was leaving because they were kicking me out, and that the place was very poorly run, and I was going to write a very bad review about my experience here & would never ever come back. read more

Seriously, this menu needs to be overhauled or they will be out of business soon. Pretzels were not pretzels. They were fried donuts in shape of pretzels and dripping in grease. Breakfast was ok but they put sugar or something sweet on the potatoes and the meatloaf was salty sausage that we couldn't even eat. The food was disgusting and we went home to eat. Well, we finally went out and tried the new place not far from us. The Saturday night we went they were playing 70-80's music DJ style. I like the look of the place. We had various food items, all mainly bar type food, wings were tasty and had some cheese tots. I would say it was good, not over the top but good. I started with an Old Fashion and it was made well. Friends had gin/tonic and beer, which was good. Service was very good and attentive. If you are looking for a place to hang and have conversation, I'd say it isn't the place to go as it is very noisy. Between everyone there and the music, you'll basically be talking extremely loud or slightly yelling. This isn't a negative review on the place, just stating it's noisy which really can't be helped. Notes falls flat (music pun intended). Wife and I went for the Jazz Brunch. The good: Walked in and saw they had my favorite whiskey (Blantons) which not many places stock. The live music for the jazz brunch (dude on a keyboard) was good. The bad: The menu is sad. It reads like an abbreviated generic fast casual restaurant menu (I.e. Chili's, TGI Fridays, etc...)... burger, southwest egg rolls, chicken wings, etc... the brunch menu was what I'd expect to see at an IHOP. It reads like someone who knows absolutely nothing about food designed it and wanted to play it safe. The beer selection is equally sad. It boggles my mind, being in a state with so much great beer, that a place in a very affluent neighborhood can have such a pedestrian beer selection. Like maybe two craft beers then a dozen or so generic macro brews. The food itself was ok, not bad, but not good and not worth a second trip. At the recommendation from our waitress we got the southwestern egg rolls, which were fine, but tasted exactly like what I could get at a chilis. We also got the brunch burger (bacon and fried egg) which came with home style fries. The burger was pretty bland. The fries weren't great. Only half of them were crispy. Service was bad. Never got the glass of water I ordered. Waitress forgot my wife's Bloody Mary, which showed up 20 minutes later with our food. Bloody Mary wasn't good either. I would skip this place.
