We were in need of something sweet, so why not have some bundlets? We tried the gluten free lemon raspberry which was good. We've had the lemon raspberry before, but never the gluten free cakes. We thought it was more on the dense and somewhat dry side, however, the flavor was good. We also tried the Key Lime, since that was a new flavor and it was so yummy. It's now one of my favorites. I ordered a large Lemon cake online for my husbands birthday. Although I have eaten a lot of NBC's, I have never ordered one personal use. I placed my order for a cake to be picked up at the South Cooper location in Arlington. Please be prepared for parking because it is very limited. The bakery is located in a strip mall which contains very popular restaurants, making it difficult to find a parking spot. Once you enter the bakery, they have cakes and cupcakes available for immediate purchase. I was able to pick up my cake and some plates and utensils that they have for purchase. The red velvet was good but a little bit too wet, since let's its been refrigerated. The white chocolate raspberry and carrot cake which was my most favorite one seems just right. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate chip chocolate cake, it was a little too sweet. There's also 2 samples trays that you can try before buying the cake. Horrible experience for Mother's Day! That's my last visit to this place. My wife requested a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes for Mother's Day. I went online on Friday to preorder/prepay for the cake, to be picked up on Saturday. It allowed you to choose your pickup time, so I chose 2pm. I get to this location at 2pm, and there is a line of about 75 people all the way down to the corner of the shopping center, then doubled back to the door of Nothing Bundt Cakes. I asked a worker who was out helping customers where I should go to pick up an order that was preordered. She pointed at the line of 75 people and told me that's where to go. Let me tell you the issue. There was another line of about 8 people in front of the door. THIS was the line for those customers that didn't order in advance. You could walk up to that line, tell them what you wanted, and be gone in 10 minutes. I watched it happen several times. It took me 45 minutes to pickup a cake that was preordered. The issue is that they already had payment for the cake . They have you held hostage. Had I not paid, I would have left and found a cake elsewhere. I tried to call inside while I waited and was told that the Manager was too busy to talk. Nothing they can do. Wouldn't common-sense tell ownership/management not to reward those that didn't preorder by giving them a shorter line. It only makes sense that customers that waited 45 minutes past their pickup time wouldn't preorder next time and be penalized for it. At least put those people that didn't preorder in the same line as those that did. Nothing Bundt Cakes has all of these people giving them $30 for a cake that cost about $8 to make, and managing this way? I heard at least 25 customers around me complaining about the process. I think you lost a few customers today. read more

I've also tried the red velvet, and found the only chocolate flavor in the chocolate chips spread around within the cake. My next endeavor is the chocolate chip. The store itself feels a bit cramped, I had to shuffle about 5 or 6 times before I got to the register, because we were packed in sardine style. I think this store could use some re organization in terms of the ordering process. So be prepared for an elbow buddy or two or three. The samples are in a spot that adds to the shuffle. The cakes are moist and the cream cheese icing is a little dense but oh so delicious. I also saw someone picking up a gift that was custom made that was insanely cute. The customer service here is also genuinely friendly. So if you're in need of a custom order, or your personal favorite, I'd second all the other voices in saying call ahead. On my most recent visit, they were out of white white chocolate bundtlet(the personal size). Today, we stopped by Nothing Bundt Cakes and gave it a try. The shop is so cute with all the bundt cake displays and baking odds and ends. The staff was super friendly and very informative. There were a good number of varieties to choose from. We were offered a sample of their featured flavor, white chocolate blueberry. The cake was so moist and flavorful! We ended up taking both a carrot and chocolate chocolate chip cakes home. Both cakes were true to what we had sampled in the shop... Moist and Delicious!! It kept declining my credit cards. So, I show up. The store is packed with at least a dozen customers. No attempt to social distance. Three employees working, none at any kind of fast pace. Two employees dealing with one difficult customer (who needed to be told that she was holding up the line). I've noticed this location has been going downhill in recent visits. I don't know how much of that is COVID and how much of it is a manager or owner who isn't engaged like he/she should be. Either way, very disappointing.
