I'm not a sweets type of girl but I love this place! Ever since my brother brought some home from work (in a red plastic cup) our family has been addicted! We literally get my sister this cake every year for her birthday..sometimes even two! We come here often just to get bundtlets too! I'm also definitely not a chocolate lover at all but their chocolate chocolate chip flavor is pretty bomb. If you know me at all...this should tell you A LOT! My favorite, though, is the marble! Can't go wrong with marble! I was in there last week to pick up a cake and tried their white chocolate raspberry samples and even those were good! I have purchased items from this location several times and have never been disappointed. The cake is always moist every time I have purchased and the bundlets keep for several days in the fridge and remain fresh. We have gotten the bundtinis, bundtlets, and the bundtlet tower. I have also tried the tiered cake for a colleagues baby shower. My favorite flavor is the White Chocolate Raspberry and this past week I also tried the Strawberries and Cream (a seasonal flavor) and was delicious as well. Consistent quality and great service at a amazing price ($4-5 per mini cake) - what more can you ask from a cake store! The cakes were moist and I didn't find the icing overly sweet. It was a perfect balance and light. I had the red velvet, cinnamon, and turtle flavors. I enjoyed the red velvet the most, and it seems to be the most popular item. I really enjoy nothing bundt cake! Their icing is so delicious and my favorite is their confection cake, it's not sweet to the point where it's overwhelming, it's just right. Unfortunately I got a gender reveal cake from them and they ruined it for me it was so upsetting!! Oh my! Can I say "YUM!" I have never eaten or enjoyed cake as light and delightful as the two small cakes that I purchased to try. After sampling a piece of the Strawberries and Cream bundt, I was hooked enough to purchase two to take home and sample with my mother. The first, of course, was the Strawberries and Cream and the second was Pecan and Praline. My favorite was the Strawberries and Cream, but the Pecan and Praline was equally as good. I love that the cake just melted in your mouth, was not excessively sweet even with the frosting, and the flavor was great too. Wonderful taste experience all around. I love these cakes, absolutely delicious and have ordered from them for years. I just had a larger order and 1 1/2 days before our birthday party several people changed their reply. I was really upset that the business was unable to reduce my order under 48 hours (their policy) but to my surprise, they added celebratory toppers to ALL the bundtinis (I had only paid for a dozen). That was a small gesture that went a long way with me. We couldn't eat them all but I appreciated their effort and feel that the money I wasted went to a company that cares about their customers. I've been going to this place for months and have sent dozens of patrons their way, so it hurts to give them anything less than 5 stars because I'm really passionate about the quality of the cakes here and for the most part the customer service is amazing, so this review will come with two parts: The Good: The cakes are tremendously good, very moist with a perfect buttercream and great flavors, particularly their flavors of the month (er, season? It seems they don't change THAT frequently, I wish they did if only because I've tried every one so far and want more!) and for the MOST part, they have very sweet employees working the counter to help you out. They only have one type of icing, but they do it so well that you'll never complain about it. My girlfriend and I have joked a ton about how we're going to have them make our wedding cake because we love them so much which is why today's negative experience threw me for such a loop. The Bad: There is an exception to the good customer service, and her name is France according to the employee I asked. I was there today to grab a bunch of cakes for my friends, and while walking around, France, who was talking to a guest and blocking the path got deliberately in my way as I tried to slip between them, and then had the gall to, in the middle of the store and in front of all the guests call ME rude for simply trying to take the only path out of the corner that she and a customer had boxed my girlfriend and I into. It shouldn't have been a big deal, we were gonna slip out and go purchase our stuff at the counter. It may sound incredibly millennial of me but to have a customer service employee insult me at a store I love so much and have brought so much business to really stings. They need to consider offering her more training in how to treat their guests or reassess if that's the kind of personality they want representing their company. read more

What a hit! I grabbed a dozen mini bundt cakes to share with coworkers, and they were gone like grease lightning! I had a small sample of the red velvet and you can taste that it was made the same day since it's quite moist. They said to fridge them if you don't finish them the day of, and to finish them within 5 days, so not sure if their moistness will stay through day 2 or 3. Besides their 4 most popular flavors, you'll need to call ahead to get other flavors, otherwise you're looking at a 30 min wait. Not a big deal once you know, but for most first-timers (including myself), it'd be nice to know that on their website in big bold letters. Lastly it's bummed that they're not open on Sundays. While I don't mind sprinting there before 6pm in rush hour, it'd be nice if they open on Sundays so I can take some to work on Monday. Who doesn't like sweets on Mondays? read more

Very disappointed with their customer service. I purchase a sparkler star shape for cake and another candle for my niece's Birthday. We were surprising her at the restaurant where we had dinner and it took a while for sparkler was not lighting up. We were not able to use it, because it did not work. I go today to get my money back and the manager said if she gets it to light it I don't get my money back. ($5.00 out of the 13.50) I spent on 2 candles. Now I have purchased many bunt cakes, buntlets and buntings. But I guess as good as their product is I will not be coming back. At least to the Darnestown location. I was looking for a good local cupcake place to get birthday treats from and found this place instead. We don't celebrate a birthday without them anymore. It's better than cupcakes! It's everything you're looking for in a cupcake (dense but moist, good frosting to cake ratio) but in a Bundt shape. When I first thought Bundt cake I imagined a dry cake with no frosting, but this is nothing like that! This was my first experience with this place. I had received the buy one get one free coupon in the mail and was kind of excited to use it with my son and make a little date out of it. Upon arriving we were told that our coupon that is two days past expiration is not good to use. OK no problem if I was this establishment and just spent thousands of dollars to send out flyers to get me into this place I think I would allow this to slide. Then after purchasing one cake I pulled out my credit card and was told I need to have a $10 minimum charge to make the purchase at this point my delightful thoughts of having a sweet savory cake where eclipse Buy this annoying person that I have to deal with. I'm very disappointed in the way my business was handled. I placed a phone order for 2 separate orders: both orders were to be wrapped in clear wrap with a single sunflower on each cake. When I picked up the second order, none of the cakes were wrapped as ordered. Granted I learned upon pick up that I hadn't been charged for the wrap, but that was not my error, tho I had no problem resolving on sight, which I happy did. I love your Cakes but the young Man who solved my incorrect order behaved as if it was my fault and as if I caused him stress to complete the order as I intended. He argued I hadn't paid for the wrapping without any acknowledgement whatsoever that it was an internal mistake, given my word. Then, upon sharing how the sparkler candles didn't work for the full size cake I picked up for a party 2 days before, I was again made to feel the blame , like I was the only one who has ever had this issue. I know that isn't accurate because at the party, another guest said she had bought the same sparklers and had the same issue. He and another employee offered for me to bring the candles back in for a refund, with no empathy to the situation but again, with challenge , saying no one else has complained. I'm sorry but this is bad form. I would bring them back in to be refunded, but we were hosting a party and they were disposed. We are in the food business as well & I love your concept and ALWAYS recommend your cakes. This level of customer service and engagement however, is not how I would want our employees to treat our customers. read more

We went in there about a week after they opened on a Saturday. We were quickly greeted by a young man who introduced himself as Devin. Explained all the different types of cakes to us which helped us decide what we wanted for our party. He promptly went back and created the cake we ordered and very professionally rang it up and thanked us for our purchase. Devin definitely made the experience a great one and it's too bad there aren't more kids like Devin working in local businesses and learning the right way to work hard.
