At 11:07, I looked into the store and saw movement although the lights were still turned off. The staff member saw me and came to the door. She informed me that they had a last-minute catering request and she needed about 15 minutes before opening the door. She said that if I could come back in 15 minutes that she would offer me a discount. When I returned 15 minutes later, I told her I wanted to order a cinnamon roll. She said that I didn't have to wait earlier if I was just ordering a cinnamon roll. However, she did not ask what I was ordering during our earlier interaction. So that means that I waited for nothing. At the very least, she should have apologized for the inconvenience that I experienced and since I used the Groupon offer, I was not offered anything for waiting. Also, if there is a last-minute catering request, that should not affect the opening of the store. I was disappointed with the service that I received. The only redemption was that the cinnamon roll was really good. I ordered a customized roll with cream cheese, coconut, caramel sauce, Oreo, and pie crumble. Hey friends! I worked an event at Kentlands so I decided to stop by for a sweet treat. Last time I had it was years ago and it was amazing, so I was super excited to come back. Of course, it smelled amazing when I walked in. I ordered an Old Skool Roll($7). It was soooo good. It was the perfect texture and perfect amount of sweet. All ingredients were fresh and made a noticeable difference in the taste. It was gone in seconds lol, I ate it so quickly. Customer service was very friendly. I'm back for a 1 year update! This time, I actually went to the store to check out their location and I really enjoyed my experience. It wasn't too busy so service was excellent and I was greeted the moment I walked in. I recently won a gift card on Instagram so I decided to stop by and purchase 2 cinnamon rolls for me and my boyfriend. I ordered the Cookie monster for him and the sparkle berry for myself. I have to say that cookie monster was way to sweet for me, but he loved it (I guess to each their own)? But the sparkle berry was well balanced with the natural sweetness from the fruit and sugary-sweetness with the cinnamon roll. Service was also quick and the cinnamon rolls both came out warm and fresh. If it's ever your first time trying Cinnaholics, go for something tame as anything with too much chocolate or drizzle will definitely taste overwhelming. If there was anything I could recommend is working on their electronic payment system. It's very glitchy and it originally was re-checking my gift card for quite a few minutes. 3.5 stars. We decided to try Cinnaholic for the first time on 1/16/22, ahead of the snow storm. We arrived around 1130, not too long after they had opened. There wasn't a long wait and the 2 guys behind the counter kept the line moving. There were about 6 signature rolls listed, but you can also create your own by selecting frosting and toppings. Other items on the menu included cookie dough, brownies, cookies and mini cinnamon rolls. I ordered the s'mores, while my husband and eldest customized their own rolls. Everyone enjoyed their cinnamon rolls; however... we were slightly disappointed that they weren't fresh cinnamon rolls. The dough was a bit stale. I warmed my roll in the microwave at home for about 20sec, which made it much more enjoyable. Overall, it's a very good concept. They just need to not serve stale cinnamon rolls. I'd put this place on my list of "if I really really want something sweet/junky and I may or may not be slightly inebriated (so my expectations are a tad bit lower) or nothing else is open, I'd come here. I was looking for a unique Cinnamon bun and ordered the Caramel Apple pie flavor which is a bun covered with Caramel frosting topped with fresh apples, pecans, homemade pie crumble & caramel sauce. Each distinct flavor balanced the Caramel flavor with the homemade pie crumble adding a burst of flavor to each bite. I must admit... I'm having an existential crisis. I'm not quite sure how to rate Cinnaholic. Is it fair to rate Cinnaholic against all the other cinnamon buns out there although it's vegan? Should I be rating it against other vegan desserts I've had? I've never had a vegan cinnamon bun, should it be in a category all it's own? Ok breath... breath... we can work this through. Ultimately, I'm in between 3 and 4 stars and let me give you a lengthy explanation why! I know, I know. A lengthy review from Mike B.... who saw this one coming =x=? So, I first encountered Cinnaholic on Shark Tank. I remember vividly watching the Sharks taste the Cinnamon Buns and ohh and ahh at the flavor. I mean, I was sold from that moment. That must have been at least 4 B.C. (Before Covid)- before there was even a Cinnaholic in my area. So when it did come to my area, I was so down to try it. Then I heard about the long lines that Cinnaholic had, and I was like, ok I can wait for the hype to calm down. And so I did. It wasn't until a vegan friend was coming over that I was like... ok here's my chance. So I went in and ordered 2 Cinnamon Buns to try. Like other's commented, it's a bit pricey on some items. I got one of the original cinnamon buns And I got one of the cinnamon buns frosted with cream cheese frosting with snickerdoodle cookies and strawberries on top. Both buns in my opinion were cloyingly sweet. Something that I'm not an enormous fan of. I rather the sweetness be subtle and unassuming like a Toyota corolla. The texture of the buns was pretty good. I mean, if someone served this bun to me and I didn't know that it came from Cinnaholic, and they were like "What's unique about this Cinnamon Bun" - I feel like if I'm being honest with myself, I wouldn't guess that it was vegan. The fact that they can get this texture and chew and flavor without butter is pretty impressive. Now let's work our way to disappointment number 2 though. On the cinnamon bun that I got the strawberries and snickerdoodle cookies, the toppings were sparse and not evenly distributed. If I'm paying for strawberry topping, I'm expecting more than 1 cut up strawberry. And the cookie, although good, just added another punch of sweetness onto something that IMO was too sweet to start with. Now... I'll say one thing. I'm a bit surprised that Cinnaholic is not pushing their Vegan identity in their store. I mean... it says nothing on the sign out front, I didn't see anything in the store, and the cashiers didn't mention anything about it. It's almost like their trying to hide that it's a vegan cinnamon bun. If I were doing marketing for Cinnaholic I'd shift that messaging real quick. I was so surprised on my way out that I went on their website just to ensure that I was getting something vegan on the way out (cause my friend only eats vegan). I was really surprised. I don't think that Cinnaholic should have any shame in it's plant based roots ( pun intended). I think that if I were to rate Cinnaholic against all of the vegan desserts I've had - it would definitely stand near the top. What ultimately put me at 3 stars though, and this is how I had to deal with my existential crisis - I had to ask myself: Would I be back on my own accord if I wasn't being forced to have a vegan dessert. Unfortunately, and I'm sorry Cinnaholic, I'd probably err on the side of no. If I'm gonna go all in on cashing out some of my calories on dessert, I'm probably gonna hit up a regular Cinnabon. If I did go back, I'd definitely ask for the frosting on the side. I think that this is part of what made the bun too sweet for me. But, one thing I was also a bit surprised about was the run of the mill, ordinary, unexciting toppings. I think that if you're gonna run on the same track as fractured prune ( an apt comparison by Andrew P), you'd definitely want some wow-wow toppings that make people go - Ohhhh I have to get the carrot-cake topped cinnamon bun! Or the cinnamon bun with horchata icing. The toppings list doesn't really move me at all. Here's a snippet of it that I feel encapsulates the feel: "Almonds, apples, bananas, blueberries, brownie bites, caramel sauce, cookie bites, chocolate chips, coconut, pb cups, pecans, pie crumble etc." I wanna see something different and exciting. I know they can't do bacon or anything. It's vegan, I get that. But something like matcha... or boba, or mango, or star fruit, or something unique and fun would be much appreciated. It's just a bit boring in my opinion. Service at the shop was very nice, congenial, accommodating, and friendly. No problems there. Ultimately, my vegan friend had to bail and didn't actually come over, so I didn't get his opinion on the bun. So I ate a quarter of each of the buns which was pretty much enough for me. I ordered yesterday via UberEats - around 6:30pm. I got one with caramel topping and another regular - with three small tubs of frosting (creme brûlée, cream cheese and chocolate) I 95% sure that someone picked up the salt instead of sugar. the frosting is soooooo salty - inedible. the bun itself was good - but someone messed up with the frosting. so salty - No other flavor. Wow! If you enjoy cinnamon rolls and have a sweet tooth, then Cinnaholic is definitely for you. Finally had a chance to stop by and decided to try the Old Skool roll and a seasonal roll, Santa's milk and cookies. I also created two of my own rolls, one with creme brulee frosting and the other with chocolate frosting and brownie bites. Although good, Santa's milk and cookies was way to sweet for me, especially with the added Oreo cookie pieces, chocolate chip cookie bites, and powdered sugar. Of the four rolls I tried, the Old Skool was my favorite. Still sweet, so added toppings wasn't necessary. The creme brulee frosting wasn't bad. I actually couldn't really tell the difference between this and the traditional vanilla frosting. The chocolate frosting was better, but my preference was still for the vanilla. Overall, I enjoyed the cinnamon rolls at Cinnaholic. The rolls themselves were soft, fluffy, and not dense. Next time I visit, I most likely will stick with the Old Skool roll, though. read more

Crazy first day open. Lines were around the block! We ordered the apple pecan pie roll, s'mores roll and roll with marshmallow cream and pecans. My daughter really loved the rolls and the toppings, I believe the rolls were pulled out before they were completely done. Let me just start by saying that I am SO glad this spot is not closer to home for me because I'd be in serious trouble. I was in the area after a trip to Color Me Mine and found out about this spot through Yelp. I'm so glad I did because the cinnamon rolls are delicious. I tried the Cookie Monster roll and s'mores roll-not at the same time of course. The Cookie Monster roll was my favorite. It was sooooo good and easily the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. On top of the cinnamon rolls being delicious, the customer service was great. We were immediately greeted by the lady behind the counter and she offered some insight into the most popular items. She even sparked up a conversation with my daughter. The shop is located on a strip with other restaurants so depending on when you go, parking may not readily be available. Then again, I'm not familiar with the area so I only looked for parking on the main road, I'm not sure if there's more parking elsewhere. We stopped in on national cinnamon roll day (10/04) and they were offering a $1 mini cinnamon roll from 11-2pm. We arrived around 1:30pm and there were about 10 groups in front of us. I was super excited to finally try this place! Unfortunately we waited over 20 minutes just to get inside. Once inside the smell was amazing! Heavenly doses of cinnamon were in the air. The space is small, but without Covid you probably wouldn't notice. The menu wasn't huge but you can either order one of their signature rolls or customize it yourself. We ended up going with two $1 mini cinnamon rolls with the signature style: cinnamon roll with vanilla icing. It wasn't a long wait before we were headed back to the car. Upon opening the boxes I assumed it was a small roll but honestly it was big! I was confused since it said a "mini roll" and this was in no way mini- not a bad thing though. It was warm, gooey and definitely needed a fork and knife. Both of us ate about half before putting it back in the bag for later. I could see how this place will stay in business. It was the first time since they opened that David and I finally managed to walk past the new Cinnaholic in Crown and NOT see a massive line out the door. It was a miracle. During COVID they have placed a 10 person max capacity inside the shop - but unfortunately people still didn't keep the distance they probably should have. I've visited Cinnaholic in Baltimore,the S'mores cinnamon roll I got there was to die for. Today I ordered a customize-your-own cinnamon roll with chai frosting and cinnadoodle cookie bites topping. It was $6.25, cheaper than their ready-to-order rolls, but maybe because I didn't really get many toppings (each topping is an extra $0.50). Sadly there was an obvious HAIR in my roll when I cut into my first bite (see photo). We had already gone home and honestly didn't feel like going back to pick a fuss over it. Besides that, I that the roll was under-done, it still had a whitish color. Which now makes sense because I didn't wait very long at all for my order. The cinnadoodle cookies were tasty, but nothing extraordinary. I expected the chai frosting to be unique, but ended up not really tasting much chai flavor anyways. Overall did it taste good? The angel food roll was good, not too sweet, but the icing was the star. The not your roll didn't allow me to miss the cinnamon roll at all. The icing was very good and the cookie was soft and yummy. I was going back and forth on whether to rate this place 4 stars or 5 stars, so we'll give it a 4.5. Cinnaholic is located in Downtown Crown, an up and coming shopping center with lots of restaurants and stores. The first thing you notice when you enter is the mouth watering, welcoming aroma of cinnamon. So so good. They offer signature rolls or the option to create your own roll by choosing from their wide selection of frosting flavors and toppings. And the rolls are VEGAN! We decided to order 2 rolls- one signature and one custom. For my custom roll, I went with cream cheese frosting and blueberry and coconut toppings. The cream cheese frosting was not too sweet and the refreshing fruit balanced out the rest of the roll nicely. The dough was soft and had just the right amount of cinnamon. They're pretty big too (slightly bigger than Cinnabon). For the second roll, we got the sparkle berry. The sparkle berry roll had chocolate frosting, strawberries, and sprinkles, and essentially tasted like a cake! It surprisingly worked well with the cinnamon roll base. I like the idea and the appearance of the food, but not for me. It was overly sweet and heavy. I was thinking this place was going to follow the trend of having something light and enjoyable, but it was really heavy and lots of sugar added on top. I don't think I was able to get through have of it. I felt like I needed water just to deal with each bite of it. The inside it nice and clean. A bit unorganized because of the pandemic, but otherwise, fine. The service on getting the goods are fine as well, nothing wrong there and nothing to complain about. The location is great as it is in a major shopping section with a good amount of parking. If it is like a Saturday night and everyone is out, there might be limited parking spaces. I didn't experience it myself since it was during COVID. Overall, just not for me. I saw that this place was from Shark Tank according to the sign outside the door. The cinnamon rolls are pretty doughy which is perfect texture for sweet cinnamon rolls and very large as well so it is perfect sharing size between at least 2-3 people. I ordered a pick-up order from here with DoorDash with an estimated 20-minute wait. When I got to the store, the lady behind the register initially couldn't find my order, but then it didn't seem like they noticed there was an online order placed. She was apologetic and I waited another 5 minutes for my order. I walked 5 minutes home and was excited to try the cinnamon buns! Unfortunately, I thought they would be warm but they were room temperature and way too sweet for my taste. And yes, I know cinnamon buns are sweet but I trashed more than half of the frosting of my Old Skool signature roll. So one of my fellow reviewer's went to this spot and after seeing her post...I was flabbergasted. I had to have it!! Located at 230 Crown Park Ave., Gaithersburg M.D. this is a cinnamon roll spot where you can customize your cinnamon roll, or get a warm gourmet roll. . . . Good people, for $5.75 you can create a custom roll here!! First choose your frosting (various flavors). The choose your toppings like brownie bites, or raspberries. That's it. . . Today I'm going to start off with what I got... because I got a lot. Alright to boot I got their Old Skool Roll (pictured traditional roll with vanilla frosting $5.75). Next up is their Carmel Apple pie bun (pictured with caramel, pecans and fresh cut apples $8). I also copped their Sparkle Berry Bun (pictured with strawberries, caramel, and sprinkles $7). I copped 3 of their baby buns (pictured with banana frosting 3 for $5). I snatched up their cookies & cream cookie dough scoop ( pictured $2.99). Lastly I got their savory pizza roll (pictured with marinara & cheese $6). . . The Old Skool...STAMP!! Traditional warm cinnamon GOODNESS!! . The Carmel Apple...STAMP!! Just think of a warm cinnamon roll APPLE PIE with caramel drizzle...YEAH. . The Sparkle Berry...DELICIOUS!! The tartness of the strawberry MADE this roll. . The baby buns...STAMP!! That banana cream blended perfectly with the cinnamon!! . The cookie dough...DELICIOUS!! I'm moderation (small scoops) this dough is delicious! This is super sweet, just so you know!! . The Pizza roll...NAH!! It's a strange combination. Too much dough combined with a salty marinara & a cheese blend that didn't melt. NAH. . . I didn't know this was on shark tank or vegan. Waited quite a while because they only allow five people in the store. The bun was good, not particularly soft, and the frosting was very sweet - which I'm into. I wouldn't go out of my way for these and TBH I'd hit up any of these other places in the center to try other desserts. read more

I can't pass up cinnamon rolls, especially when they are from Cinnaholic and are vegan!! I was invited to try their new fall flavors recently along with a couple other classics. The first three featured here are the fall flavors, which includes a SAVORY PIZZA ROLL! I've only had sweet rolls and was pleasantly surprised at how good this savory take was. The last three featured are rolls from their signature menu. The fluffernutter is a peanut butter and chocolate lovers dream, but the real winner was the pumpkin spice! The pumpkin frosting was phenomenal and cinnadoodle cookie bites add that crunchy goodness that I needed + those marshmallows made me excited for colder weather! Ordered the cinnamon apple pie roll. The toppings are a brilliant combination and fresh. The cinnamon roll itself was overcooked and the outer two layers were tough/hard. The center was softer, but it was ultimately underwhelming. This place has a really cool concept and good customer service. Disappointed it didn't meet my expectations from what I've heard from friends and seen on social media. read more

HOLY MOLY, it was good. I'm not even a fan of cinnamon related dessert/pastry, but I absolutely loved it. I customized my own, cream cheese+strawberry jam & strawberry. The cinnamon roll was freshly made, I waited 20+ minutes for it, 100% worth it, no doubt! I can't describe it, you would have to try for yourself. It was fantastic! read more
