Now I have sampled NBC's fare before, both in Tucson and Jeffersonville, but not this one even though I've driven by it many times. But yesterday as I was passing by again, my sweet tooth said, "hey, don't forget about me later tonight," so I decided to turn around and go back and get a cake. Yes, a full size cake not the cupcake size ones. One thing I have learned from weight watching the last two years is being able to control my over eating urges and portion control. I originally ordered a vanilla cake in the eight inch size but they were out of that flavor so I went with the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. I did not go with the icing on top as I just don't need those extra calories. The cake tastes great without the topping. It is moist inside and was filled with lots of chocolate chips. I spotted a new flavor of Strawberries & Cream which my granddaughter will love. They are available in the cupcake size too although I think they call them Bundtinis. I do think the price point is a little high for everything. Service was fast and friendly. There were many customers coming and going as I studied the menu trying to make up my mind on a flavor. 6th time ordering. I got the Carrot Cake this time. The entire outer layer was dry and kind of tough. Never had the Carrot Cake. No nuts, no carrots, no raisins just cake batter cooked. It was like a box mix. Disappointed I expected something like Cheese Cake Factory style. I always get light frosting. It helped with the dryness of the outside layer. Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself. As it names implies, this place pretty much just sells bundt cakes. They have an assortment of their regular cakes including classic vanilla, confetti, lemon, chocolate chip and red velvet. They also have rotating seasonal flavors. During my visit the flavor of the season was lemon raspberry, which I was I got. The inside of the shop was very, very clean. So clean that I felt bad walking in their with my shoes on. There is not much yo the shop. There is a class case with the cakes on display, and some retail items on shelves that include bags, bowls, mugs and decorative platters. They have a decent amount parking available in the private lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located. If you are trying to get your bearings as to exactly where this place is located, you will find it in the the Home Depot strip mall area, between the Upaint Pottery and the Taco and Brews restaurant. The woman working the shop was very friendly and helpful. She was patient, as I decided what cake I wanted. She took time to explain their seasonal flavors and got me a coupon on a BOGO cake for my next visit (if I completed a survey). My cake was delicious. The cake itself was moist and I loved the icing. They went very well together. I am very happy with the choice I made and look forward to trying some of the other flavors, but the raspberry lemon has set the bar high though. The answer for all of those in case you were wondering is YES! Oh my goodness. I had heard from some friends about this marvelous place and on a whim, I stopped in to see what they have. Thank was going to be out with friends that night and had decided to take a dessert. I chose a lemon cake and everyone LOVED it. A couple of days later, I returned to get some of the smaller Bundt cakes and got a variety, including gluten free for me. I'm not kidding when I tell you that the GF was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Most Gf products are dense and gritty. This is nothing like that. It was moist and perfectly made. I also want to note how kind the woman was who served me. While I can't quite remember her name, she was a little older and provided excellent service. She was kind, informative, and amazing. I'm so excited I can now purchase Nothing But Bundt Cakes on the south side. The shop opened almost a week ago, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020. The ladies behind the counter were so sweet and did a fabulous job for only being opened 6 days. The shop's nostalgic decor is so cute with adorable gift items, cards and even birthday candles. I personally enjoy giving the 3 tiered bundtlets gift wrapped with a ribbon. A selection of cards are also available to finish up your gift. They carry ten different flavors of cakes with an 8" and 10" bundt (which can be stacked), mini bundtlets and bite size bundtinis (sold by the dozen) and 40 cake designs. The delicious icing is so good, isn't overly sweet and doesn't overwhelm the moist bundt. The whipped cream cheese icing has the perfect portion per bite. They do carry a limited number of un-iced cakes on site but your safest to order ahead for plain bundts. I ordered 3 lemon, 1 white chocolate raspberry and 1 snickerdoodle bundtlets. I've had the moist and flavorful lemon (my personal favorite) and white chocolate raspberry. I love trying different flavors and I'm certainly looking forward to trying the Snickerdoodle tonight. From the foot traffic visting the shop today just while we were here I think they'll do well. I know I'll be returning especially when I'm having guests or need a delicious gift. read more

Greenwood finally has one of these tasty bundt cake bakeries of its own! Just like the other locations around town, they sell a variety of bundt cakes in three sizes to meet your personal or party needs. The shop can be found in the outlot north of the Home Depot. It is a little tricky getting into and out of this lot because of the medians along Smith Valley Road and SR 135, but if you are patient, you can get here...it's worth the wait! Not only do they have bundt cakes, but they also have some gift ideas on display as well. And be sure to try the free samples they have...you may find a new favorite. I found the cakes to be moist and light with just enough icing to pair with the cake flavors. Even the smallest of the cakes is shareable, but not so large that you will feel like any is being wasted. I picked up a Lemon Cake and a Carrot Cake variety. I ordered a cake and 3 dozen bundtinis for my son's graduation party. When I arrived to pick them up they had only boxed 2 dozen. They quickly boxed up the 3rd and sent me on my way with an additional cake! I called them later (at closing) in a bit of a panic. Our party got rained out and was rescheduled for 2 weeks out. She assured me that they would freeze beautifully and walked me through how to wrap them before freezing them. She was so patient and kind. Best customer service ever! I had heard about this bakery through my son. He said he tried them recently, and really liked their cakes. Now it's my turn. We got the lemon and double chocolate chip. I really wanted to try the carrot cake, but they didn't have any. The cakes we got were decent, light enough and not too dense, and also moist. (There I go using that word again) ;oD The icing was OK. It wasn't too heavy in texture and taste, but they sure do put a heavy amount on the cakes. Honestly unbelievable!! I'm not a huge cupcake shop fan girl, so honestly I would have never stepped in here but I got a free cake coupon in the mail. AND I WILL BE BACK! I got a lemon bundtlet and sampled the white chocolate raspberry. The wcr was probably the best thing I have ever tasted!! It was incredibly moist and perfect! I honestly couldn't believe the texture was that perfect! My lemon was great too, more subtle and I liked it better when it got to room temp. This location has issues. I have ordered from 3 Nothing Bundt Cake stores. Castleton, Fort Wayne and Greenwood. Had excellent experiences at Castleton and Fort Wayne. Customer service and quality were both A+. I placed an online order at the Greenwood location for one dozen of the fall mix of cupcakes. The flavors of the fall mix were listed or I could've chosen my own flavors. Obviously, I liked and wanted the flavors "as advertised". I'm assuming the store ran out of pumpkin spice and tossed in lemon to sub. A phone call would've been appropriate and appreciated vs a surprise when we got home. Since when is lemon a fall flavor? Also, in my note on the online order, I requested the dozen be split between two boxes because I was dropping off 1/2 to my college student. I personally do not believe anyone took the time to read my online note. Just as no one took the time to read what was advertised in the fall mix. Arrived at the store to a somewhat confused cashier. I saw my dozen was in one box and asked if they could be divided as I had requested . She went in the backroom. Returned to say "no, we're not allowed to do that because this is a franchise and there are a lot of rules to follow " . My response, can I buy an empty box to divide myself? "Oh, probably. Let me ask". She returns from the backroom with an empty box for 12 cupcakes. I explain that I only need an empty box for 6 cupcakes, She said, I'm not charging you for the box, but you hv to divide them yourself". I asked her if customer satisfaction was mentioned in the franchise rules. She just said, well,it should be. Last thing, least fresh product that I have purchased from Nothing Bundt Cake. This location needs to wake up because the other franchises that I've gone to have lines waiting to get in. Very disappointed in the Greenwood store. read more
