NGL the carrot cake (cream cheese frosting - not overly sweet and not too dense which is what I prefer!) and double chocolate were perfection and I'm glad we got 2 of each. The salted caramel was also in my top 3 from the flavors we tried. DEFINITELY coming back here again to try other creations and flavors. Immediately followed all socials so I can get special updates. These went very quickly with our small family get together!! Haha we also tried a strawberry banana smoothie which was quite yummy! I highly recommend and always love supporting local small businesses.

I'm not sure how new this place is to the area, but it is new to me as I moved away from Elgin and I've come back a year ago so this was a pleasant surprise. I decided to go in and the interior was very beautiful with pink and floral motifs all around. I was warmly greeted by the baker, as I'm sure he was busy in the back. I ordered a pack of four cupcakes. I was interested in as well as a smoothie and went on my merry way. When I got home, I enjoyed the almond wedding cake cupcake and it was very delicious! Not too sweet, but very elegant and just what I would definitely serve or like to see in a high-end party or event of some kind. I will definitely be coming back whenever my sweet tooth craving kicks in again!

I would avoid this establishment…read more I called on 1/27 at 12:40 PM to order vegan cupcakes for my son's birthday. The employee, Tim, told me they had 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate vegan cupcakes available. I requested 4 chocolate cupcakes, and he said I would need to prepay and that they would be ready in 15 minutes. I was surprised they could be prepared that quickly, but went along with it. We picked them up about 30 minutes later and brought them home. That evening, my son tried one and it was extremely hard, with grainy frosting. Overall, the cupcake tasted terrible. We didn't eat the remaining three and left them in the box. The next day, I returned to the shop to share my concerns and was told Tim would call me back. He did call and said they had tried a cupcake and felt it tasted fine. He also told me that I may not know what vegan cupcakes taste like. I didn't argue, but I've had plenty of vegan desserts before, and they've never been this inedible. He then explained that the batter used was leftover from a cake made a week earlier and that it's common practice for them to freeze batter and make cupcakes later. I was surprised to hear this. More disappointing was that there was no attempt to make things right or offer any solution--only to explain why they wouldn't provide a refund. I told him that was fine, but that I wouldn't be returning or recommending their shop and would be sharing my experience. If you're looking for vegan options or any dessert options and decent customer service, there are plenty of other places in the area. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The new location is in a brand-new building, and their coffee selection has expanded as well. Their butter cookies are the best I've ever had, and it's difficult to leave without a box. Sometimes I even buy two boxes--one to eat on the way home and another to share with my wife when I get there. They have delicious, fresh donuts every day, and I especially love the donut holes they sell on Fridays. I also love that they carry Ideal Bakery's kolaczki and some of their other products. They offer fresh bread that they can slice for you when you order, or you can take it home unsliced. The staff is extremely friendly and patient while taking your order, and they never make you feel rushed, even when there's a line of customers. I ordered a cake and a dessert table from them for a party, and they did an amazing job. Salma was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and assisting us with our order. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made the entire experience stress-free. Keep up the great work, Jarosch Bakery!

It has that traditional neighborhood bakery feel with display cases full of cookies, donuts, pastries, breads, and cakes. The bakery has been around since 1959 and is known for making many of its items from scratch, which really shows in the quality. Jarosch Bakery +1 The selection is impressive. Their butter cookies, coffee cakes, sweet rolls, and donuts are standouts, and everything looks fresh and carefully made. If you're picking up dessert for a gathering or ordering a custom cake for a celebration, this is the kind of bakery that has built a reputation for doing those things really well. The place can get busy, especially around holidays, but that's usually a good sign that people keep coming back. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to grocery store bakeries, but the quality and traditional baking make it worth it. Overall, Jarosch Bakery is a great spot if you appreciate classic bakeries that focus on fresh, scratch-made pastries and desserts. It's the kind of place that feels like a local tradition.

They also make custom cakes and other baked items. A cool day called for a coffee. If hanging out in this lakeside town, it's better to go here than some chain coffee place. The prices aren't that bad for an independent business like this. Inside there's a couple tables and a couch. Space is limited but charm isn't. I got a Cinnamon Sugar Latte, which was one of the seasonal coffees. It's $6 for a regular. This had plenty of spice and sweetness along with some vanilla. Best place in town to get coffee. It feels a lot like being in someone's living room. There's also pastries that you can get at the counter or you can make an order for cakes or whatever.
