I can't believe this Nothing Bundt Cakes location will be celebrating its 1-year anniversary next month. How time flies! I still remember how excited I was when this location first opened. I come here whenever I'm craving a sweet, rich cake. My go-to flavors are white chocolate raspberry, red velvet, and vanilla, but honestly, every flavor I've tried has been good. Recently, I redeemed my birthday reward for a free bundt cake and chose the Chocolate Dubai flavor. It's a limited-time offering and usually costs more, so I was really surprised it was included as a birthday reward option. The cake was so good. It's their chocolate cake (which I hadn't tried before) filled with a pistachio kanafeh filling. The filling was delicious and had a nice crunch. I just wish there had been more of it because it only filled about a quarter of the cake. It was still really tasty. If you love Dubai chocolate, I'd recommend trying it before it's gone. read more

I come to this establishment often, but this experience was just off the charts. I was assisted by Taylor M. and she was the sweetest most thoughtful employee I have ever experienced at this location. I came here for the peach cobbler since it was a limited seasonal flavor, but my ultimate favorite is the s'mores. The peach cobbler wasn't on display, but she was telling me that it was the last day for the flavor, that's why the signs were gone. I was able to snag myself one of the last ones and also get my favorite flavor. I thought it was very sweet of her to be honest about the flavor supposed to be ending, but still being able to provide it. When I first read Jennifer K's review of Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC), I noticed the location was Lakewood, which NGL I thought was a mistake because I know NBC had opened in the LBC 2 years ago. Well color me surprised because apparently, they did open this location just recently as well! Without her review, I wouldn't have even known about this location despite living in Lakewood, so thank you Jennifer for (indirectly) letting me know about this location! Prior to the LBC and Downey locations opening, if I wanted a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, I would have had to go to Huntington Beach, and I definitely wasn't going to Surf City just for that lol. I had joined their eClub some time ago, but chose my preferred bakery to be one closer to where my parents live. They give eClub members a free birthday bundtlet, which can be redeemed over a two week period, and I was able to try one before locations started opening up in this area. I was so slow to visit one of the other locations because I was actually disgruntled believe it or not. I asked to change my preferred bakery shortly after the LBC location opened, and the solution I got back then was to rejoin the eClub. Seriously? But when the Lakewood location opened, I asked again, and they were happy enough to change my preferred bakery to this newly opened location in Lakewood Center on Restaurant Row. You won't find them in the mall, but rather, on the north side of Candlewood between Lakewood and Clark. If you recall where the Mathnasium used to be, that's where Nothing Bundt Cakes is today. The Lakewood location held its grand opening in April 2025, and I was fortunate enough to be one of the first 50 customers in line to receive a voucher for a free bundtlet every month for a year. One of the customers who arrived a few minutes after I did recommended the Lemon Blueberry since she loved it so much. Honestly, I would have ordered it anyways even if she hadn't mentioned it because the Lemon Blueberry is a seasonal flavor. Just like the Long Beach location, there is an employee on either side who can take your order. Yari (sp?) was the employee who assisted me at the Grand Opening, and I told her I'd like the Lemon Blueberry flavor. I also asked how long these cakes would last, and she mentioned 3 to 5 days in the fridge. She also recommended letting the cakes thaw for a couple of hours before eating it. At the Grand Opening, they also had a spinning wheel, where one of the prizes was free bundtlets for a year. I *almost* won it (again), but the pointer bounced back right before that wedge, giving me a shopping bag instead. Not too shabby though, especially since I already had the voucher for being one of the first 50. They also offered samples of two of their flavors, which were pretty good and a nice touch to this Grand Opening. I waited until the next day to eat the Lemon Blueberry bundtlet and also let it sit on my counter for a couple hours before eating it. Was it good? Yes! But not as good as how that customer made it out to be. For the most part, the frosting masked the lemon flavor, so my taste buds felt there wasn't as much fruit in this bundtlet. It was good to try, but I'm certain I'd like another flavor better, so it'll probably be at least a year before I try it again. A Yelp friend told me she got the White Chocolate Raspberry, which sounded really good, so I went ahead and tried that for my second bundtlet. It was indeed really good! Notes of both White Chocolate and Raspberry were prevalent throughout the bundtlet; the male employee who served me that day was pretty chill too, even mentioning that a bundtlet could stay on the counter for 24 hours before having to go into the fridge. He also mentioned, as other NBC employees have mentioned, that they can stay good in the fridge for up to 5 days. Third bundtlet was the carrot cake, and let me say, it's going to give Stonefire Grill's incredible carrot cake a run for their money! The frosting was a great accompaniment to the cake itself, which was quite dry, but had crunchy bits to avoid being dull in taste. The employee who served me on that visit mentioned that they bake the cakes daily in the hour leading up to opening. The S'mores flavor was great as well! I loved how the marshmallow supplemented the frosting nicely, though since it was all concentrated in the middle, the ring of the cake paled in comparison save for the crunchy Hershey's bits dispersed throughout the cake. I appreciated how Metzli (sp?) let me know of the seasonal flavors on the top of the case when I was looking at the bottom. The Banana Pudding Cake actually disappointed me a little, but that's likely because I had better banana pudding elsewhere, This banana pudding didn't go well with the frosting, and the Nilla wafer on top got soft the next day. I've unfortunately run out of characters in this review, but fellow denizens of Lakewood, I order you to visit this Nothing Bundt Cakes if you're looking for a cake! read more

First let me say I'm a big fan of Nothing Bundt Cakes but my last purchased left me literally with a bad taste in my mouth. My sister and I went to get our buy one get one free on Monday. We both chose the carrot cake plus the lemon and white chocolate raspberry. I typically wouldn't have picked the carrot cake but my sister insisted. She said the carrot cake was really good and I should give it a try. Later that day my sister calls to say how disappointed she was with the carrot cake. She described it as stale and extremely dry. So I gave mine a try and she was right. I actually threw the cake in the trash, that's how bad it was. Not sure what happened with that carrot cake but hopefully it doesn't happen again. read more

You know I'm all about a deal. I heard Nothing Bundt Cakes were offering a bogo special, so I had to see if it was true. As it turned out o had to go in their website to place the order and wallah, the promo code worked. I love NBC, but sometimes you can't just have one and then it's too expensive or too much to spend for cake. So a BOGO deal is exactly what I needed. It was straight to the point. Seamless and smooth, and so I thought. It was hours after picking up my order from the store before I opened the bag of goodies. I originally ordered online one Banana Pudding Bundtlet and one Carrot Cake Bundtlet but when I took the NBC's out of the bag, I got two carrot cakes and no banana pudding. A little disappointed so I called the store to let them know of their error. Broderick to whom I spoke with said to come back and they'll replace the one that was missed. Upon returning to the store, I spoke to a different gentleman and I explained the whole story. He apologized and gave me two banana puddings for the inconvenience. I said I should have checked the bag and he said no I shouldn't have to. It's their responsibility to make sure they fill the order properly and precisely so that there are no errors. He said the he hopes he made it right and that I was happy. I was extremely happy. That's customer service. Yes fix the issue, but he went extra by giving me two for their error and my inconvenience having to come back. Each of us was handed a bag with PARTIAL orders and waited 15 minutes or more for one or two additional. At least 4-5 of us. No apology, no courtesy...lots of chit chat in the back, could see at least 2 additional people back there, one on a computer, clearly visible. I have been hearing about these cakes all over. My job, my friends, my family, etc. So I just had to go and check it out for my self. It was fast and easy. I was the only customer there and everything was nest and clean, perfectly positioned. The staff was friendly. I got the carrot cake and it was amazing. That said, I was really disappointed with the banana pudding Bundt cake. It lacked flavor entirely, no real sweetness or banana taste and the texture was unexpectedly slimy rather than soft and moist. Easily the worst flavor I've tried so far. I'll be back for sure because the service is consistently excellent, but I'd skip this particular flavor next time and hopefully they will still have the biscoff one. read more
