Nothing Bundt Cakes is the best cake in the area. You can never go wrong with anything from here. I always enjoyed the red velvet. It's so moist and has the right amount of richness. The cake doesn't last beyond two days without losing moisture, so if you don't have a huge family freeze it until you're interested in eating it. This is what I did. My red velvet was very fresh like I just got it. Freezing and unthawing when ready to eat was amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of the carrot this go. It was tasty but I feel there could have been more moisture. My cake was delivered in a tier and nicely decorated. Loved it! Very neat and fitting for my Birthday. The delivery service for my order was quick.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a game changer! I personally have purchased the bundtlets for my personal delight and for gifts. Each location has a number of flavors to try, including seasonal flavors. This location is warm and inviting for customers, although it is a little on the smaller side. Upon entry into the Morrisville location, you are immediately greeted by an employee and by the enticing cake display case (the case offers a variety of cake sizes for customers). You will immediately spot the bundtlets and bundtinis in the display case. Nothing Bundt Cakes will even prepare a larger Bundt cake for your next special occasion. This is my go to spot for a quick gift idea or when I have a taste for something sweet. ***Must try flavors include White Chocolate Raspberry, Strawberries & Cream and Carrot.

Delicious, moist cakes but why do they only have one frosting option available?? With how many locations they have I would have expected at least one other frosting option. Unfortunately not. No matter what cake you choose, you will only have cream cheese icing on top. Cream cheese icing works for some cakes but not all of them. I have resorted to scrapping off the frosting so that it does not ruin the flavor of the cake. I have tried a variety of their cakes and always enjoyed the cake itself. The recipes are standard so you know what to expect. The employees are welcoming, efficient, and patient. The cakes are well stocked and ready for purchase. Ample parking is available in the plaza. It is a good place to pick up a tasty dessert that is ready to go and reasonably sized. Plus you get a free cake on your birthday!

I visit NBC multiple times every year. The flavor is spectacular and the assortment is always wide. They specialize in the bundt shape cake with a signature cream cheese icing that goes on nearly all cakes. They also have a nice selection of unique serving ware and cake accessories, pretty spectacular birthday candles and such. I love the staff here they also help out and have been very patient with me over the years. There's one gluten free chocolate chip cookie bundt cake for anyone who doesn't partake. Will always be a fan of nothing bundt!

I love this place! For a chain, it's consistently good, ALL THE TIME. The cakes are so moist and delicious. If you haven't had them, you are missing out.

Love nothing Bundt cakes but the customer service today was not on point. Stopped in to redeem my birthday cake. Walked in and the girl at the counter didn't bother to greet me or the guest behind me. I realize face masks make such a difference but body language is key! When I told her I was redeeming a birthday cake her demeanor didn't improve . Anyway, got my marble cake and purchased a confetti cake and left. Happy birthday to me!

My fiancée bought my birthday cake here! It was soooooo good! All of my friends and family wanted to know where I got the strawberry cream cake from and I told them about this place! Highly recommend grabbing yourself a birthday cake here! My birthday cake that fed 12 ppl was about $30 ! Can't beat those prices

Got it. Here is the revised Yelp review with the correct name:…read more My wife and I recently stopped by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café in downtown North Carolina, and we left already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and served with genuine kindness. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It feels like the kind of place where you can slow down, sit across from someone you love, and actually enjoy your coffee. We ordered an espresso, a latte, a chocolate croissant, and a lemon pastry. Everything was fresh. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers on the outside and a soft, buttery texture inside. The lemon pastry was bright and balanced, not overly sweet. The espresso was strong and smooth. The latte was well crafted and comforting. Service was quick without feeling rushed. The space was clean. The overall experience was simple and well done. If you are in downtown and want good coffee, fresh pastries, and attentive service, Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café is worth your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. Highly recommend.

On the positive side, the flavors themselves were solid overall. The icing was tasty, and while the cake was decent, it leaned a bit dry, which was already giving us pause given this was meant to showcase their best work. What really ended the conversation for us was a major quality issue. Two of the icing sample balls each had a very long hair in them. It was immediately noticeable and extremely off-putting. At that point, we lost confidence and couldn't bring ourselves to continue sampling, let alone consider trusting them with something as important as a wedding cake. Between the dryness of the cake and the hair issue, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. Not terrible flavor-wise, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and fell short for such a high-stakes purchase.

Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.

"VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.

Both the atmosphere and the menu are a mix of French and Arabic, so I got a cherry-infused chocolate cake and some sort of cheese and za'atar savory bun, along with a cardamom chai. The chai flavor was interesting, but not altogether strong, while the cake was as delicious as it looked. My cheese pastry was strongly salty, for better or for worse. The price reflects the quality of the food more than the location, let's say, but I was glad I went.

Ich liebe Annelores deutsche Bäckerei!…read more I first got goodies from Annelore's booth at the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh. The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). I saw a nice gentlemen there that day who I think may be part owner; based on what I see on their website I wonder if it was Herr Norbert. While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). Annelore's German Bakery is a wonderful way to take care of your dessert needs and support a local business at the same time. If you need a dessert, cake, scones, or other treats for your home gathering, BBQ, church social, potluck, business lunch, or other event, I would definitely let Annelore's take care of that part for you! 10/10, highly recommend! Easy to grab a spot whether you're solo with a laptop or meeting a group. The pastry case is where the variety really shows off. The standout (and most photogenic) was the hot dog roll: a whole frankfurter wrapped in glossy bread, crowned with crispy panko, ketchup-mustard drizzle, and a sprinkle of parsley. Equal parts strange and delicious. Plenty of room, plenty to choose from, and consistently solid quality. A reliable spot for a coffee, a pastry, or a savory bite.

I was…read moreso excited to learn we had a Paris Baguette in the area after visiting the VA Beach location about 3 weeks ago. I was headed out to my cousins house not far from there and thought I would scoop up a few things for us to snack on. I knew I wanted the fruit tarts and they are pure perfection in my opinion-I bought 4 in total-I ate one the second I got into the car and the rest were had later in the day. I also wanted to try some of their savory options as when I was there a few weeks ago, they were sold out of the ham and cheese croissant and was really excited to give it a try, and wow it was worth the wait! I also got a pepperoni pizza and some sort of pastry with a hot dog in it. We cut each of the savory options into third so we could sample each item. Everything about the ham and cheese croissant was pure perfection and was the favorite of all three of us! I hate that I didn't take any photos of the building-the outside was nothing special but pastries were beautifully displayed and they had so many options to choose from! The rest room wasn't super tidy, but it was bad either-it was a very busy Sunday afternoon! Now to breakdown the customer service piece that prevented me from giving y'all a perfect score, please do better! I was not greeted when it was my turn, in fact there were two people at registers and after both finished they both walked away without saying anything. So, I stood there and waited and at this point no one was behind me. I don't recall the name of the young man that checked me out. I said hello and asked how do I sign up for their rewards program? I'm not sure he understood my question. I asked again and he told me that I had to sign up for it. There seemed to be a disconnect so I just asked if I could sign up for it later and get credit for the large purchase I was making and all he said was he would give me a receipt. He rang up my pastries and I then asked if he could package the sweet and savory items separately and he seemed annoyed. I also ordered myself an iced chai and he seemed bothered that I wanted a drink. At this point there was a really long line of people and he was not efficient in our encounter at all. I truly believe customers service makes or breaks and experience and sadly, this guy missed the mark after I spent $40+! I'm hoping he was just having an off day.
