My Mom first tried Nothing Bundt Cakes in CA and liked them so much that she found a location in Newton, MA to order me mini Bundt cakes for Thanksgiving since I was going to be away for the holiday. Well, the frosting was inconsistent and majority arrived upside down. VERY DISAPPOINTED in how my order was delivered. Was planning on bringing these for a dinner event- can't anymore. I would like to add that the cakes themselves were very moist and tasty (pecan, carrot cake, and pumpkin spice), just upset with the overall delivery & presentation. read more

These cakes are delicious and the man working the food truck in Dewey Sqaure was so incredibly kind and generous. I went to buy a couple of cakes for a co-worker and his wife who just learned they were expecting and the man in the food truck told me that I was so nice to do that. He asked if I was heading back to my office. and when I told him that I was, he gave me all kinds of extra cakes to bring back for all to enjoy. I was blown away by this. It was so refreshing to encounter businessman who truly values their customers. I took a stack of business cards to share with others in the office. This is a business I'll be happy to support in the future and I hope others do as well. read more

Well I'm doomed!!!! Found this new place right near my store in Newton Highlands and had to try it! Lovely shop. Very sweet and cute place. Nice staff! Amazingly good Bunt Cakes! I sampled the Red Velvet and Yum!!! They use one signature frosting and it's delicious!! What could be bad about cream cheese frosting??!! I brought a Red Velvet to a meeting that night and it was devoured!! It had little chocolate chips running through it!!! OMG! I choose a lemon one as well but ended up saving it to bring to a brunch 5 days later. It was as good as if I had picked it up that morning!!! It was the hit of the day! Moist! Epic, Colossal Disaster! We went on Saturday to order a small individual cake for my wife and get an 8 inch birthday cake for my daughter. We had such a hard time getting a straight answer on anything. Because there is cream cheese in the icing, we wanted to pick it up the morning of her birthday which was the next day. "What time do you open tomorrow?" '10AM. Oh wait. What is today? Saturday? No we open at 11 AM tomorrow.' We had a busy day planned with our daughter, so we figured we'd pick it up at 11 and we would celebrate over lunch before going to the city for a show. "Can you decorate the cake?" 'Yes. The options are over there (pointing to placards)' After a bunch of confusing discussion, there is basically only 2 types of birthday options. We picked one. My wife shows a coupon for buy one and get one free for her small individual cake. My wife pays for both and we leave. Shocked that I just dropped fifty bucks on small cakes, I made a joke about the buy one get one free offer because the little individuals cakes (think like a cupcake) were ten dollars, She then realized that the person did not deduct the free cake for the offer even though we had an extensive discussion about which one to add since it was free. We go back to fix the error and it took an act of Congress to call someone back out to the counter from the kitchen, find the transaction in the computer, figure out how to compensate it. She gets someone to help her. Ok, fixed. We spent 30 minutes in that store (not waiting) just to order a cake! Next day my wife goes to pick it up and sees the store is not open at 11AM. It is open at 12. She went back at 12 and they said there was an error on the order and they'd need to fix it. This was not a fancy order. We picked one of their standard packages and made no special requests. My wife did not get home until 1PM. By that point it was too late to celebrate with the cake and we needed to leave for our city plans. Our plans went until late at night, so we wound up just cutting the cake the day after her birthday. By the way, they didn't even fill out the card as indicated on the cake (it was blank)! The service was so pathetically bad IN EVERY SINGLE DETAIL. Nothing was done correctly. I would have been better off just getting a cheap cake at the supermarket. For the priviledge of paying them fifty bucks for all of that aggravation, they gave my wife a free individual "cupcake." This is the equivalent of buying a bulk size bag of M&M's and giving me a free piece of M&M candy (I certainly don't need more cake). The place is way too expensive for what you get. Don't bother. UPDATE: I took the company up on their offer to provide them with "more data" on my experience based on their reply to my original post. Their website only allows 1200 characters so I actually had to trim it down to "less data." I have no idea what they plan to do with it, but I submitted it. read more

Went to pick up my online order and free birthday bundtlet today for birthday on Tuesday and was told I needed to come in ON my birthday. Nowhere in the birthday email does it state this - employee made it up - she even admitted it! Product is excellent but staff/management is terrible - make up rules as they go along - #soannoying. This is my favorite cake place, however the people who work here are incredibly rude and insufferable. Not willing to help, and treated me very poorly. So much so that the lady, possibly the owner said, "I'm sorry am I offending you?" I was confused and bewildered because i was super polite and only asking questions about the cupcakes. I really wanted to like this place. Cute store, clever concept - nice to send coupon to area residents for a free mini bundt cake. Sadly, the cake isn't good. Too light, airy texture, bland flavor - not better than a homemade cake made from a mix. Since cake is the only thing this store makes (it's a national chain), the cake has to be worth the trip and the price. The best cake, hands down! I'm addicted to NBC. Their cake is so delicious and light and moist. Their frosting is wonderful and never too much or overly sweet. Most of the flavors are sensational... you just have to find your preference. The store offers samples each time you go in (score) and the staff is so nice and helpful. The cakes make beautiful gifts (especially the bundlet tower). Keep your cakes refrigerated until just ready to eat. I personally like mine cold. I've NEVER had a problem with them being dry at all so I wonder if that person left theirs out? read more

I was at nothing Bundt cake today at 12:02 pm and I was told the only way that I could get a gluten free cake was without frosting-- the best part! I asked for frosting on the side and was told they don't have a container to put it in. I suggested a Bundt container and the lovely woman at the counter said she had to check. The cashier was very nice and explained she did not understand why they would not do it. The person above her and the "froster" came out and said that they close at 1 and that all the dishes were already washed and they would not give us frosting in the side or frost the cake. I explained that we had some really sad news and this was all my daughter wanted. The higher up said, "why are you telling me this sob story? I still can't frost it." Given what I told them was very difficult.. they had an opportunity to do something kind for someone else and they chose not to. So sad....for a company that advertises their "delicious signature cream cheese frosting" they certainly made it impossible to get. Very disappointing. read more

On my way home with my fiancé after school we stopped to grab some food. We noticed that this shop had just opened and in our curiosity we decided to check it out. When we got inside we were immediately given a warm and welcoming greeting and we also noticed how adorable the shop was. After trying some of the sample they had out which was red velvet we knew we had to get something. I got the carrot cake and my fiancé got the confetti. Both were absolutely extraordinary and mouthwatering. They were the prefect balance of sweet and savory but most certainly not too rich. While these cakes are delicious, the customer service is strict and unaccommodating in the Newton, MA location. I ordered a cake for a family celebration. Due to a snow storm, the family that was going to come in from out of town to celebrate could not come. I called the store to change the order from a cake that fed 8-10 to a smaller order. Because I called 23 hours and 30 minutes ahead of my pickup, I was too late to change an order. This particular store could only change an order at the 24 hour mark. I spoke with the manager and they would not budge "as they had already started to make this cake." In this day and age of Covid, you would think they could have been a bit more flexible as I know they could have sold this cake in their general display. Also, I was 30 min over their 24 hours policy so I thought they could show some kindness and accommodation. While I love their cakes, their customer service is terrible at this location. read more

The Bundtinis were a huge hit at the office too.-nice upgrade from the boring, run of the mill square cakes-which, for the record, you can't even order 'extra icing' on-like you can with the bundts!
