Big smiles from the staff, they informed us of the different cakes, seasonal flavors, top sellers etc. They offered us samples, showed us where you can order a custom cake, I mean it was top notch. I choose the lemon and hubby stuck with his traditional...carrot cake. Both flavors were delicious and fresh. The cake itself needs to come to room temp to be at it's best. Since they're in a refrigerated case they can be stiff but once that baby warms up....the cake is fluffy and packed with homemade flavor. The icing (cream cheese) is just right, not to sweet or too much. The drizzle over the cakes makes it the perfect ratio of cake to icing. They're located in the same plaza with Egg and I. They're not great for tiered cakes. I ordered almost 100 cupcakes and a two tiered cake for my wedding. The cupcakes were fabulous! Everything was ready to go on time and tasted amazing, however.. the two tiered cake was just covered in a piece of plastic wrap over the top and was open on the sides. The top layer slid to the side and the icing was ruined by the plastic wrap before the wedding began. I'm pretty easy going but I could see that obviously being a major issue for some brides. Maybe it was out of the norm for them to do that, but they definitely need cake boxes. What makes this location stand out from the rest is the way they make the cake layer, super moist and fluffy. Compared to locations in south Florida where it was once hard to bite. The employees immediately greeted us, were friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. My husband and his best friend had their birthday dinner last night. His wife ordered his cake and I did the same for mine. When I went to pick up the 2 cakes the staff handed me 3. Well let's just say we had accidentally ordered an extra cake, the manager gave us a full refund and we were told to keep the extra cake. I wasn't expecting a full refund at all.
