What an absolutely awful experience I had here today. I have been coming to Nothing Bundt Cakes for years and have always had pleasant interactions until today when I went to redeem my birthday bundtlet. The lady behind the counter basically tried to force me to enter my phone number into their system in order to get the free bundtlet. Nowhere in the fine print did it say that I had to give my number for this. She then asked for my ID, which the fine print also does not say is required, and I had to spend about five minutes scrolling my phone for a picture of my ID because I didn't drive to the store and didn't have my ID on me. She didn't budge a bit and was so rude. When I finally found a picture of my ID and showed her my birth date, she was satisfied and mockingly wished me a happy birthday. The Nothing Bundt Cakes location on Scottsdale Road has great customer service, tasty treats, and awesome deals and promotions! I have visited this location more than a dozen times over the years. There are three size cakes that I have ordered: bite-sized bundtinis, small bundtlet cakes, and full-sized bundt cakes. I have ordered several bundlets and occasional dozen bundtinis at a time for gatherings at home. I have also ordered full-sized bundt cakes before with a themed decoration to be placed in the middle of the cake. Each bundtini, bundtlet, or bundt cake has tasty icing and even more tasty cake often with chocolate chips or sprinkles cooked into the cake. The promotions and deals are great to know about! First, while I used to fill out punch cards, there is now an app where you can track purchases and earn points redeemable for free bundlets. Second, you can sign up for a birthday club and get a free bundtlet for your birthday. Next, every other month or so, you can get an e-mail with a Buy One Bundtlet, Get One Bundtlet Free coupon. Finally, every now and then is a special occasion like a grand opening of another location. That happened a few months ago for the Tempe Marketplace location. You can also order ahead of time for pick-up and delivery. Oh, and the hours are very reasonable: Daily from 9 AM to 6 PM except for Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. My family has been coming here for years never had an issue and service is always great. However I feel completely ripped off with my purchase today. Didn't notice until I got home but the confetti bunt is literally half the size it should be. This is the tiniest bunt I have ever seen and I can't believe they would put this out. Nothing Bundt Cakes are truly the best cakes I've ever had and it would be almost impossible to top. I remember the first time I had one, it was gifted to me at Christmas time by a coworker. It was so good, that I went soon after to test out some for myself. I soon discovered the confetti cake and to this day it remains my all time favorite cake. I even evangelized my sister, who is obsessed with cake. She agrees that nothing tops NBC. My all time favorite is the confetti, but I've tried pretty much every flavor that they have. Only downside to NBC is that they pretty much have bank hours. They're open from like 9a-6p Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sundays. The total opposite of any bakery you've ever seen.
