Ive tasted Butta Cakes before but have never visited the location myself. It's easy to find and find parking. There's so many flavors to choose from! We opted for a dozen which was $26. I am so indecisive so this is perfect for me as I can try different flavors and not be committed to a whole cake or piece. Our favorites have been the lemon and key lime. The citrus flavors really stand out above the rest! I wish there was a location on the west side I could stop into because I would be here more often than I should! lol read more

A colleague brought us some butta cakes to work and wow oh woww. This was my first time trying it and it reminds me of a mini bundt cake. Out of the flavors, I tried the strawberry, smores, and carrot cake. Those weree soo delicious. Looking at the prices online, it looks like they sell a dozen for $26.50 and a 6 pack for $14 - about $2 a butta cake. I really enjoyed these desserts and will definitely have to check them out in person. They were the perfect bite size dessert and was so moist. read more

Today was my first visit to Butta cakes, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. My girlfriend is celebrating her birthday tomorrow, and when I asked what special treat she wanted, she immediately said Butta cakes. Although your bakery is more than 40 minutes from my home, I happily made the drive because I wanted to surprise her with exactly what she wanted for her birthday. I arrived about 15 minutes before closing. When I walked in, the employee was already counting the register and immediately gave the impression that my arrival was an inconvenience. I told him I wanted to purchase three dozen buttercakes. When I started placing my order, beginning with six original buttercakes, he told me I could only have three of each flavor. When I asked why, he explained that they needed to make sure they didn't run out of flavors because they had orders to fulfill the next day. I pointed out that the bakery was closing in about 10 minutes and asked whether the buttercakes were made fresh daily. He said yes--but still insisted I could only purchase three of each flavor. That explanation simply didn't make sense. If the buttercakes are made fresh daily and the bakery wasn't sold out of the originals, why limit a paying customer who drove over 40 minutes specifically to purchase your product? I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, I was buying three dozen buttercakes. Rather than making a customer feel valued, I was made to feel like my business was an inconvenience. The entire interaction left a very poor first impression. I went out of my way to support your business for a special occasion, only to leave frustrated and disappointed. Great products are important, but customer service is what creates loyal customers. Unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. read more

Ordered a six pack of assorted cakes today for my husband's birthday. Cute packaging, cute little designs...and they were pretty good! The packaging notes they're frozen for freshness and to let them thaw about 30 mins before serving - you're definitely going to want to do that. My impatient six year old did not, ha! I thought they were good - great little gift idea. We bought a 6 pack of little cakes last week. The lemon was mine. The lemon glaze was good but I would prefer a real lemony thicker frosting as the cake was so dense and a little dry. It needed more frosting to go with all that cake. Jt daughter didn't comment or rave about any of the other cakes so I can assume she wasn't thrilled. Inside the store is very nice and clean. The display case let you see everything all at once which can be overwhelming but really let's you decide which ones to try. I got a box of 12 different flavors and the lady helping me was great. She was very friendly explained everything when I asked about different flavors and gave good recs. The only thing I can call out is to eat them at room temp, when eaten cold they just don't taste as flavorful. The parkinglot was a lot to deal with for middle of a work day so be prepared for that but it was worth it. We've really enjoyed all of the flavors and I'm definitely marking it for a return visit. read more

I am NOT a sweets person, I am one to turn down cake, chocolates, candy, all of it. Give me the savory snacks! But, I was served Butta Cakes at a work event and was shocked. My company catered 4-packs of the mini cakes and I was unbelievably impressed. My favorite was the coconut, it is AMAZING! But genuinely none disappointed. All I want to do is try more flavors. I was so excited to hear this cute little cake shop had just opened up on my side of town. I didn't make it for grand opening weekend but I stopped in the following week. All the other reviews are right - great selection, you walk away with diversity, they are reasonably priced and it is four or six cakes that feel more cupcake size magically reduced to a tiny package. These little gems are certainly tasty and I highly recommend at least one visit. The store front is clean and well organized and social distancing is in place.
