Even though it was an unconventional ask, Fadia was more than willing to work with us. We had a lot of questions and requests- she was responsive, patient, and seemed genuinely excited for us. She was a pleasure to work with and delivered the cakes beautifully decorated and on time. We ended up getting the 8" cake with gold foil and real flowers. It was so beautiful and elegant. Once we cut into it, we saw that it was a carrot cake so we knew we were having a boy! The carrot cake itself was perfect. We've had many carrot cakes in the area and all agreed this was the best! It was moist and had a perfect frosting to cake ratio. The sweetness level was exactly what we were looking for- not too sweet. We also ordered a tray of baklava. It was crunchy, full of nuts, and not too sweet. It was $35 for the tray. Much more affordable than buying it by the piece at a bakery. Can't wait to try more of Fadia's treats. It's gives the vibe of a high end experience with a red velvet rope, and only the privilege can enter. But you can have coffee, tea and cake for the price of your snack. The cookies are kind of flat round cookies like Insomnia and Crumble cookies. There are about a dozen cookies with a new weekly line-up of cookies including a gluten-free flavor, a vegan flavor (Brookie), and an interesting croissant/cookie hybrid. I wish the cookies were consistently warm, they are usually tepid and have been able to snag a cookie fresh out of the oven a couple of times. The Dairy-free Brookie is hands-down my favorite! It's very gooey with a nice cookie crust and can't even tell there's no dairy. The Galaxy Brownie Cookie tasted just like a brownie with rainbow chips - it hit the spot! The Triple Chocolate Cookie is good, and the Lava Cookie reminded me of the lava cakes from Domino's with ganache oozing out. The Mint Cookies and Cream reminded me of an Andy's mint. The Oatmeal Apple cookie tastes like a Snickerdoodle. I wasn't a fan of the Rainbow Almond cookie, it had a strong vanilla extract artificial taste. The Blue Sugar Cookie sandwich looked too tempting, but was too sugary sweet. I threw in the towel after a couple of bites. Lesson learned to try a flavor that's a bit sweet/salty balanced. The service is lukewarm with teenage girls who don't want to be bothered from their phones to answer questions and serve customers. If you're shopping and craving a sweet treat, stop by for a cookie. Because of poor planning and stupidity, I didn't have a chance to meet Linda at her home-run business let alone sample her offerings, so I had to rely on discussing my requests by phone, recommendations from theknot.com and Bonnie McDaniel from Sweet Christina's and PMs from fellow Yelper Donald P. (thanks for your all your help). I was specifically looking for a square amaretto cake with white frosting. While some bakers advertised having this options on their websites, a lot of them ended up not offering them. Cakes by Linda was one of the few that actually did. And I tell you, she did an excellent job coming pretty close to what my wedding cake actually was. The frosting was sugary gritty sweet and not too sickeningly buttery like most buttercream frostings. While the cake was denser than what I had, it made it up for the right level moistness and the intense amaretto flavor the hubs had a taste for. It might even be safe to say that the amaretto flavor was more intense than our wedding cake. Linda did a great job and both my husband and I were impressed the great job she did. Very reasonably priced for what I got, and I'd highly recommend her for delicious special occasion cakes.

I have had many, many cakes in this lifetime and none have come anywhere close to what these cakes taste like. Flavor AND texture are absolutely the best. Visually amazing as well, the small details and working with you on a creative way to execute even a complicated theme or favorite item is like magic. I am critical/detail oriented and even I was impressed. I am not sure that any baker could match, even those that you see on TV. We have gotten cakes for my daughter's first birthday (was almost as tall as my 1 yr old), a friend's 40th b'day cake and a bridal shower as well. Once I contacted because I just had to have her cake but alas...she was booked.
