I just don't get it...the reviews are great, but I find these little gems cute, perfect size, fresh, but for me way, way, WAY too much frosting. I bought four last night in Greensboro, NC. I've been waiting so long to try these, but I'm not sure what the big deal is. After I scraped off most of the frosting, the cake part was almost Twinkie-ish, not a sturdy, substantial cake, like I'd imagined, but soft and too moist, and not in a good way. Is this the same recipe the two founders started with? I had three different flavors, and with the overwhelming frosting, they all tasted the same. Are the chocolate ones better? I placed an online order to celebrate my husbands birthday. I saw the tiered cake images online but didn't see an option to order online, so instead I placed an order for both the 8" and 10" and figured I'd stack them myself. Upon my arrival to pick up, the staff asked if I had wanted them tiered and quickly did this for us. They were also very knowledgeable about ingredients due to food allergies in our group. Excellent customer service at this location! I order from Nothing Bundt Cakes often and I recently placed an order for 12 bundtinis and my husband picked them up for me. When he returned home, I opened the box and 3 were missing frosting. I immediately called the store and explained the situation and they asked if I could return to the store with the cakes. I did, and when I arrived, I was greeted by an associate who had been waiting for me. Oh my!!! I was not expecting the heavenly moist delicious bundt cake that I got. We had passed this place quite a few times and always wanted to try. Really delicious bundt cakes, always very fresh. Nice store environment & friendly staff. The bundt cakes here are like a 'heavier' cake than cupcakes, almost like a pound cake. They do full 'cake' size for parties & always have LOTS of the cupcake-sized bundtlette in multiple flavors. Bundtini's are tiny bite-size ones they only sell by the dozen (see more below on this). Two things I wish for tho that keep me from giving 5-stars.... 1. I wish they would sell the "bundtini's" individually, or at least in half-dozen increments....12 is the least you can get of these & 6 would be a perfect 'lunch gift' or 'party gift' or even for a kid having a smaller birthday gathering. We recently relocated here from Ohio and I stumbled upon the Waxhaw/Marvin location of Nothing Bundt Cakes on Rea Road. I got them often for myself, co-workers, and friends when we lived in Ohio, but realized my husband had never had one before! I placed an online order for 2 bundtlets for my husband...thinking that if he liked them, I'd order a larger bundt cake for his upcoming birthday. When I entered the store, there were three female employees at the front (by the cash register). Not one of them greeted me or even gave a simple "Hello, how can I help you?" The employees were not busy and there were no other customers in the store (except for me). If I had not already paid for the order, I would have walked out. After I greeted the girl behind the counter and told her I had an online order, I was given my order with nothing more than a "you're set". In this time, every dollar counts and customer service is extremely important because there's a number of franchises that would gladly welcome my business. The customer service for this location was pretty poor today. Although, my husband loved the cakes, I probably will not be ordering from this location again, which is unfortunate for the owner as I'm sure he or she would not approve of this type of customer service. read more

I came on Christmas Eve to pick up my free birthday bundtlet, and it was so packed that the cashier quickly asked what flavor I wanted and practically shoved the bundtlet at me. She definitely could have been nicer about the whole transaction, or at the very least wish me a happy birthday, but given the circumstances of how busy they were, I will give her a pass.
