I just don't get it...the reviews are great, but I find these little gems cute, perfect size, fresh, but for me way, way, WAY too much frosting. I bought four last night in Greensboro, NC. I've been waiting so long to try these, but I'm not sure what the big deal is. After I scraped off most of the frosting, the cake part was almost Twinkie-ish, not a sturdy, substantial cake, like I'd imagined, but soft and too moist, and not in a good way. Is this the same recipe the two founders started with? I had three different flavors, and with the overwhelming frosting, they all tasted the same. Are the chocolate ones better? Excellent customer service at this location! I order from Nothing Bundt Cakes often and I recently placed an order for 12 bundtinis and my husband picked them up for me. When he returned home, I opened the box and 3 were missing frosting. I immediately called the store and explained the situation and they asked if I could return to the store with the cakes. I did, and when I arrived, I was greeted by an associate who had been waiting for me. She apologized for the error and explained that they were giving me another dozen bundtinis AND I could keep my original box too. She also arranged to have the 3 unfrosted cakes frosted for me. I placed an online order to celebrate my husbands birthday. I saw the tiered cake images online but didn't see an option to order online, so instead I placed an order for both the 8" and 10" and figured I'd stack them myself. Upon my arrival to pick up, the staff asked if I had wanted them tiered and quickly did this for us. They were also very knowledgeable about ingredients due to food allergies in our group. Oh my God! I couldn't believe they open at 9 AM when I saw the timings on Yelp so I had to call them and guess what they do open at 9 AM. I went there. The lady behind the counter was amazing. She helped me choose the bundtlets and bundtinis that I needed forteacher appreciation/ end of school year, and I was out in less than five minutes. Really delicious bundt cakes, always very fresh. Nice store environment & friendly staff. The bundt cakes here are like a 'heavier' cake than cupcakes, almost like a pound cake. They do full 'cake' size for parties & always have LOTS of the cupcake-sized bundtlette in multiple flavors. Bundtini's are tiny bite-size ones they only sell by the dozen (see more below on this). Two things I wish for tho that keep me from giving 5-stars.... 1. I wish they would sell the "bundtini's" individually, or at least in half-dozen increments....12 is the least you can get of these & 6 would be a perfect 'lunch gift' or 'party gift' or even for a kid having a smaller birthday gathering. And it certainly is crowded each time we came by to purchase or order. They have cakes and cup cakes. The flavors offered vary by day, but you can order whatever flavor you want. The icing in cream cheese and it is set into the valleys of the ungulated cake or on top of the cup cakes. They will also set up your order for the occasion, like birthday, anniversary, etc. The flavors: red velvet, chocolate chip, lemon, marble, pecan praline, carrot, vanilla, cinnamon swirl and white chocolate raspberry. Enough for you? We have repeated repeatedly the assorted cup cakes for desserts and for parties. A cool way to give everyone a try. Most all, in our experience, oooo and ahhhhh. We recently relocated here from Ohio and I stumbled upon the Waxhaw/Marvin location of Nothing Bundt Cakes on Rea Road. I got them often for myself, co-workers, and friends when we lived in Ohio, but realized my husband had never had one before! I placed an online order for 2 bundtlets for my husband...thinking that if he liked them, I'd order a larger bundt cake for his upcoming birthday. When I entered the store, there were three female employees at the front (by the cash register). Not one of them greeted me or even gave a simple "Hello, how can I help you?" The employees were not busy and there were no other customers in the store (except for me). If I had not already paid for the order, I would have walked out. After I greeted the girl behind the counter and told her I had an online order, I was given my order with nothing more than a "you're set". In this time, every dollar counts and customer service is extremely important because there's a number of franchises that would gladly welcome my business. The customer service for this location was pretty poor today. Although, my husband loved the cakes, I probably will not be ordering from this location again, which is unfortunate for the owner as I'm sure he or she would not approve of this type of customer service. read more

I don't exactly do flips and feel the need that I absolutely have to go here as they somewhat taste as if they're out of a box and don't quite have a homemade taste. I came on Christmas Eve to pick up my free birthday bundtlet, and it was so packed that the cashier quickly asked what flavor I wanted and practically shoved the bundtlet at me. She definitely could have been nicer about the whole transaction, or at the very least wish me a happy birthday, but given the circumstances of how busy they were, I will give her a pass. I can understand how stressful it can be at a bakery during the holidays. I still loved my White Chocolate Raspberry bundtlet. I also loved the Red Velvet bundtlet sample. Normally don't write reviews but this place has terrible customer service. I made a purchase at this location and forgot my card there, as soon as I realized it I called them but they were closed. I called next morning as soon as they opened and the person who answered the phone verified my information and let me know they had my card. I let the person on the phone know that I am working and will be there to pick up my card after 5. She said no problem, I will let the girls know. I drove there after work, not even 24 hours since I had left my card there and they informed me that they cut my card up. Even after I was told that they would have it for me. CamiCakes Cupcakes in ATL SAS here in CLT GiGi's Cupcakes Tizzerts/Juanita's Bakery on Park Rd, Cupcrazed in Fort Mill Polka Dots Blushing Cupcakes... etc etc etc and Nothing Bundt Cakes BY FAR is my FAVORITE! These cakes are sooooo moist and flavorful. Sooooo good!!! They aren't dried nor super rich and sweet like others bakeries where after you eat it, you get a headache from that sugar rush. I don't have a sweet tooth but I'll definitely buy Nothing Bundt Cakes than all the other brands for any special occasion. They're good and becoming my favorite!
