Here's why you should call this company: 1. We didn't have to wait for a call back and got a very reasonable quote over the phone. 2. They don't require a service contract. 3. They donate to charity. The initial fee was reduced in exchange for grocery bag of non-perishable food items for the local Food Bank. (Who doesn't love doing business with a company that gives back to their community?) 4. Prompt. We called twice and Mark came out the very same day both times. 5. Thorough and detailed. He spent hours in the pouring rain inspecting/treating every inch of our home. 6. He stands behind his work and cares about the end result. Mark checked in with us after the initial treatment and, when we noticed a few ants a week and a half later, he came back out to treat the inside (which he offered to do on the first visit, but we declined). 7. I decided it would be best to try a locally owned and operated business because you get to deal with the owner and avoid the "middle man" issues that usually arrive from hiring a large company. I called Nottingham Pest Control. Mark (the owner) answered the phone, answered all my questions, and booked the appointment. Mark showed up on time and cleared all the cobwebs around my house, garage, yard, under my deck, in, and behind my storage sheds. Nottingham Pest Control is reliable and the customer service is good. I started having ant problems and they were able to come out a couple days later to do their first spray outside and put down ant gel inside. The ants did start coming back after a few days, which I think is normal at the beginning. I called NPC back, and they immediately sent someone out to put down more gel within just a couple hours. Our dog had been digging holes in a part of our yard and we thought he was after gophers. Mark came out when we reached out to him for gopher control. He had been recommended by our current pest service. What Mark found was that we had a rat problem probably due to our bird feeders. He did not want to charge us for a gopher treatment when he did not think they were the problem. Just had my first service with Nottingham Pest Control today. Mark was referred to me by another company that does not service my area and I'm very glad I contacted him. Mark started out great over the phone providing tips and information about my ant issue. He wasn't able to come out over the weekend, as he has a strict rule of keeping that time open for his family, which I think is awesome. He arrived early for his appointment and took his time explaining what he was going to do at my property and even more time going through the property spraying for ants and other insects, as well as knocking down a couple of wasps nest and plenty of cob webs. His walk-through of my property revealed a deeper issue that I wasn't aware of, and he gave me options for how to deal with them in the future. Also - he provides a $50 discount for his initial service if you donate a bag of non-perishable items to the food bank. That sold me. Not to mention, his prices are quite fair and a bit less than some of his larger competitors.
