Accuracy and Honesty. These two words are the cornerstone of our business. I don't truly believe that's the cornerstone of their business. During escrow of purchasing my home, Brothers came to do a termite inspection. During this inspection they reported no termites or activity. A month later, I hired Clark to conduct routine pest service. During their free termite inspection, they found termites and active infestations. I would be very weary about hiring this company to do your pest inspections. It's a little to late for me and I now unfortunately bought a house which I thought had no termites. After this happened, I called Cody and asked about the false report. He has no explanation and did offer to treat my home. I had the treatment done at my property which I thought fixed the problem. I had a warranty check done just recently, and apparently the problem areas were spot treated and not fully treated (per the Brothers inspector). Probably because this was a non paid job due to their error. So the areas in-between the spot treated areas have termites again, rather then fully treating the problem area which would have been the right way to do it. But how would a homeowner know this unless you had another inspection done? You assume when someone says they are going to do something, they are going to do it and do it right. You trust them, clearly that was my mistake. I am sure there are others out there who had work or inspections done by them and are in my same situation but don't know it. I am so disappointed in their negligence, dishonesty, pretend inspection and fabricated report. Please do yourself a favor and use a company that is ethical and honest. read more

We're first-time homeowners and found dry rot in our wall while trying to do a dry wall patch. They came out and took care of all the work over the course of a few days, which included identifying the scope of the damage, replacing some structural wood around a window, and re-stuccoing some of our exterior. Had 4 winged termites in the house that amped my freak-out meter to a full on 10. Called Brothers after looking at Yelp and discerning that they were professional and trustworthy (--- a key consideration given that I could be persuaded to take care of problems that actually don't exist or are overstated, in light of the importance my home, my most valuable asset). The inspector was on time, courteous, very thorough , clean, and articulate. He found some dry rot, found a wing of a termite in the inside rail of our sliding window, and noted some threats accompanied by recommended mitigations. In the end tho, there was no evidence of termite infestation(!). The winged buggers I saw came in thru a door that was left open for hours during a previous night. Used Brothers to deal with dry rot at my home in Benicia. Mike came out the following work day and rang my doorbell one minute before our scheduled time. How's that for a contractor being on time. He pointed out areas that needed work and told me I would have a bid the following day. Once the contract was signed work was started the following week. Minor communication glitches re work to be done and the office staff but all employees were easy to work with and accommodating. My last minute changes were handled quickly and without undue drama. Running a business is more than just doing the job--it's client communication and systems that prevent surprises. Unfortunately, my experience with Cody/Brothers showed a glaring lack of both. Due to a calendar mix-up and the home going pending fast, I wasn't sure when the inspection was and if it was still needed. Only 3 hours after I left the message, I got an *invoice* for cancellation --no call, no clarification, no policy shared. Over the last year, I have had Brothers out a couple of times to perform termite inspection and treatment as well as to take care of siding replacement and have had a great experience with them. When they originally came out to do the inspection, they found signs of termites as well as several areas which needed siding replaced. I had some anxiety over how best to move forward and so I had several conversations with Cody, the owner, who was very patient and great in explaining and providing recommendations. I never felt pressured to go one direction or the other and never felt like they were trying to upsell. In a follow up inspection, the inspector, Steven, was also really great and spent a good amount of time in answering my questions about the siding replacement work. And the crews who came out and did both the termite treatment and the siding replacement were all very friendly and thorough. Everyone I interacted with showed up on time and were really good about giving me job status updates. I had one other company come out and give me a bid which was slightly under the bid I received from Brothers, but their recommendations were basically the same. Brothers was the third company I had come out. They were SO thorough and found things that other companies didn't find in their quick inspections. I was also swayed by their positive Yelp reviews, so I went with them. Today the first team came out (Jaime and Brent) to do the drilling into the foundation and squirt the chemicals. They were here the entire day and took such care with everything they did. Next week, the other crews are coming out to fix baseboards, etc. Brent took up the carpet near the window inside my house, and there were DOZENS of termites scurrying about! It was scary. I underestimated these guys. The work they did was amazing! Cody was friendly and professional and came in and did an honest and accurate assessment. Victor and Alex both did a great job replacing wood that needed replacing and sealing. I also want to credit Valentin and his partner for the great job painting and replacing the beam on top of the house. I also want to credit the timbor and fungus spray guy that came and did a great job scraping the wood that was affected and now everything looks good as new. After feeling a little hesitant with the work, I now have no regrets and I am very happy to have the work done which only increased the value of my house and will last longer in terms of any wood rot or further wood damage that needed replacement.
