Unfortunately, I decided to take my business elsewhere after my experience here. I paid $70 for my nails, and within a very short period of time, several of them began lifting. I returned to the salon hoping the issue would be properly addressed, but I left feeling dismissed rather than valued as a returning client. What disappointed me most was not simply that there was an issue with the nails things happen, and I understand that. It was the lack of accountability and the way the situation was handled when I came back. The salon was not busy at the time, and I genuinely feel that Natalie had the opportunity to take the time to properly correct the work, but instead I felt brushed off. For the prices being charged, I expected both quality work and better customer service when a concern was brought forward. I never want to feel as though I am simply another transaction, especially when I am spending my hard-earned money on a service and returning with a legitimate concern about the quality of the work. Since leaving, I have found another salon where I consistently feel valued as a client, my concerns are taken seriously, and the quality of the work reflects what I am paying for. Today I came in to get a pedicure. Normally, I make an appointment and it's not a problem. Today I just happen to be in the area and as I walked in, I waited a bit and then one of the techs asked how may I help you? I responded. I wanted to get a pedicure and she repeated sternly were all booked today, but would you like to make an appointment for another day.? I said no thank you I just happen to be in the area and then I walked out. I have come to this place a few times and given them great reviews but today I don't feel like the customer service was present like it's been consistently and it's sad because they do amazing work here so I hope no one else runs into this situation on a Thursday of all days where they can't get serviced. I wanted to wait a few weeks after my first visit before writing this review, and I'm really impressed. Compared to other shops, my nails have held up extremely well and are still going strong. My nails usually break easily or the polish chips within a few days, but that hasn't been the case here. I've been coming here for about two years, and I honestly won't go anywhere else. The quality, creativity, and customer service are worth every penny. One of my favorite things is that I don't have to come in with a fully planned design. I can tell Natalie a mood, a color, or a general idea, and she takes it from there. This set is the perfect example--I originally wanted a cherry red cat-eye, but since they didn't have the exact shade, she suggested this gorgeous deep plum cat-eye with watercolor accent nails. It turned out even better than what I had pictured! Over the years she's created some of my favorite sets, including an ombré set with orange on one hand and green on the other using what felt like a dozen different shades, as well as a multicolored French tip that was absolutely stunning. Every appointment feels like getting custom artwork instead of just a manicure. The quality is just as impressive as the designs. My sets last, my rhinestones stay on, and if I ever have a rare lifting issue, they're always happy to fix it. That level of customer service keeps me coming back. The whole team is wonderful. Jennie, the owner, is amazing. If you want detailed designs, 3D hand crafted artsy nails Mindy and Natalie are the best! I've seen Mindy freestyle Sanrio characters by hand! She's so great. She always caters to her clients, remembers the smallest details, and is always lively. For pedicures, I highly recommend Mimi or Nani--they're both excellent--and Christine is wonderful as well. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and takes pride in their work. My favorite set from Mimi is when she gave me a multicolored french tip pedicure it was so beautiful! Yes, they're a little more expensive than some salons, but if you're looking for beautiful, long-lasting nails and talented artists who genuinely care about their clients, it's absolutely worth it. Pedicure eating, from other experiences, I would give it a 3/5 unfortunately it was a bit rushed rather than relaxing but I'm sure it was probably just the person I had the other people providing the service were taking there time. They were also getting a lot of walk ins as well so they were getting quite busy so I don't blame them! Just expecting a certain service to be a bit more relaxing less thrown around is all especially since we had an appointment. It just kind of felt like an okay experience. She is the only person I let do my nails because she does it exactly the way I want it every time. She is really talented and does really good work. When I am in the mood to talk, we talk. This is one of my favorite nail shops! I came for their pedicure with my cousin yesterday and the shop is super clean. Nani and Van are great for pedicure! They paid close attention to detail on everything and took their time. We did their matcha pedicure and it comes with a lot of treatment. It made our legs and feet super super soft!! Another thing is I never seen the steam being used before at a nail shop and I love it! It keeps the legs moist and warm while getting a massage. I haven't gotten my nails done in a really long time, but I am so so glad that I went! I scheduled an appointment online, which I am really glad they have that option. They were very busy when I arrived, and I did have to wait a bit to be seated but it was well worth it!!! My appointment was with Jennie and she was so detailed and patient throughout the process. Took a small break after November and just recently started my appointments again! My Valentines set (not pictured) and my current St Patrick set were both done by LYNN, and they both came out soooo cute! I got Hybrid Gel instead of the acrylic this time. Both sets have easily lasted 3+ weeks (my nails grow fast though!) Lynn checked on me during my mani because my skin is dry and she made sure to try to be gentle with my cuticles. I booked an appointment online with Mindy, and let me tell you she's fantastic! What I had done was full set acrylics, gel polish, and nail designs. I'm usually not the type to go all out and try something new but I did and she did not disappoint at all! When I tell you I was smiling ear to ear as we were finishing up is an understatement. Jennie at Nouvique is awesome! Her and her husband Aaron run two locations in Elk Grove. I only go for nails and always get acrylic with some sort of design. Both locations are great and all their nail techs look like they do a great job! I've been going to them for years now. They're always friendly and will ask if you are satisfied with your nails before you leave. I know they do appointments online but you can also call or walk in. I broke one of my acrylics one time (totally my fault) and they took me in the next day to fix it! I usually show a picture of something I like and they will let me know if they can do it or something similar. They have everything for nails--powders, foils, stickers, artistic ability.
