This was only my second time getting a pedicure and my first time visiting JB Nails & Spa. My wife, father in law, brother, and I came here for Father's Day, and we were pleasantly greeted as soon as we walked in. So far, this has been my best experience. My technician, Jennifer, was amazing. I will admit, between work boots, running, and everyday activities, my feet are downright fugly! Somehow, Jennifer managed to make beauty out of my beast of toes. She was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Angel. She was very friendly, animated, and you could tell she genuinely enjoys interacting with her customers. It is always nice to see an owner who is passionate about their business and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone in our group had a great experience, and we all left happy and relaxed. I can see why people keep coming back. If you're looking for a place with great service, talented technicians, and a fun and friendly environment, JB Nails & Spa is definitely worth a visit. I was seen by Angel :) I made the appointment over the phone and requested her based on some of the photos on here, and I was seated within a minute of walking in. Loveeeeeeed the design and how my nails turned out. This might just be my honest opinion because I've been going to the same nail tech for over 2 to 3 years, so trying someone new was a big deal for me: knocked off one star because there were a couple of hiccups. They forgot to write down my original appointment at first so I was actually gonna be seen by another nail tech until I asked if she was Angel. They got me over to the right nail tech, so it all worked out. Angel is super lively, talkative, and you can tell she's genuinely trying to get to know you and make you a long term customer. The only thing was while she was chatting it up, she accidentally clipped the skin on a couple of my fingers and they both bled and stung. Defffffff not the most enjoyable moment. Overall though, I still LOVE the design. Her work is good! read more

I went in to get a pedicure and brow wax for my wedding and Angel the owner was hanging out with me making me laugh. She helped me pick out a beautiful glitter for my toes. I got my nails done yesterday at JB Nails & Spa. This was my second time here because my close friend is a regular here for the last 4 years and she literally will not go anywhere else. Elk Grove is across town for me so it took about 50 minutes to get over here. I almost wanted to cancel but I'm glad I didn't. It's my third time back for a pedicure with Tammy. As usual...I call the day before but was able to get in the next morning. I was greeted warmly like an old friend. This is my place! I am so loyal because they really care that you are happy with your service. If you want your nails or toes done a certain way, tell them and they will make sure you are satisfied because they want you happy and treat you like family. I personally get Kenny for my nails, and Angel for my pedicures, but everyone there is fantastic. Johnny does amazing designer nails. They had their business in Woodland and moved to Elk Grove. Their customers in Woodland love them so much that they followed them here to Elk Grove. I say that really tells you something because that is quite a drive. This has been my go-to salon for a while now. I get my builder gel manicures from Kenny. He's great at the application and my nails last 1month+ with no lifting. I also love the pedicures here. They're much more thorough than other salons and they don't rush you. The techs are gentle and actually tend to any specific requests I have. Tammy and Helen did an amazing job on our pedicures they are very thorough and made sure we had an enjoyable massage as well. First time getting my nails done here. Requested gel manicure with cat-eye, as well as a classic/basic pedicure. Paid $100 including tip. My Gel mani chipped in 3 areas, 5 days later :( The good: -the salon is bright and clean. Their tools are in a sanitized bag. -the wall is loaded with TONS of nail colors to choose from -there's a big t.v. to watch music videos (English and Vietnamese music, salons choice). - the staff seemed pretty nice The not so good: - nails weren't measured. Some nails are shorter on one hand over the other. - my cuticles were not pushed back. Instead, my cuticles were shaved off with a toolbit, and it burned. Ended up with a cut on my left hand. -I could not relax. The staff kept talking to each other loudly across the room. I really wanted to enjoy a self-care day. - gel manicure couldn't hold up for a week I really dislike leaving less than stellar reviews for small businesses. Im hoping this review can help them improve their services in the future. read more

Almost one year later since my last visit and the service was still great! I'm not from around the area and typically get my nails done at home, but I wasn't able to get them done before an event so this was a perfect time to come here again! (Or maybe this was an excuse for me). This time I had Kim as my technician and she did a great job with my gel manicure. At first, I was going to do a regular gel color polish, but she showed me a few cat eye colors and I decided to give the aqua blue one a shot. It did not disappoint! My nails look amazing and now I feel ready for my event. The owners are also very welcoming and the atmosphere of the shop is really warm. I will definitely have to try to get a pedicure at some point as well. They have so many colors and different gel polish brands that I've never tried so I do definitely want to come back. All in all, if I don't get my nails done and I'm in town again, would definitely come back again! Also, I came in as a walk-in when it was busy and they told me to come back in an hour when they had someone available, which did actually happen. This was great since some places tell you to come back and still don't have anyone available at that time, so major plus. read more

Once we walked into their store, we were warmly welcomed in by Angel. The store is clean, organized and doesn't smell too strongly of chemicals. It was semi busy but we had an appointment so they took us quickly. TAMMY did my mom's pedicure and she was very attentive. She made sure my mom is comfortable. She did a really good job keeping a conversation with my mom (my mom is a introvert). She really cares about her customers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAMMY, customer service and massage is 10/10. ANGEL is full of enthusiasm/energy and she is the boss woman of the shop. She is super funny and we love her humor. Her customer service is TOP TEIR as well. She makes you feel like family too. She is very talkative (she has a strong accent but you can understand her) and makes your experience fun. Staff was nice. I'll say that. Got short acrylics, they were bumpy ugly ass hell, not what I wanted. So I went back, asked them to just do something simple. They appeared fine after. Not great but it'll do. Then I went on a vacation and within a week and a half they popped off. So not only were they ugly but they were poorly done. Paid full price with a nice tip which I regret and they didn't even stay on my finger for 2 weeks lol I went here cuz the reviews were good, had never been before, but won't be going back now. read more

I went with my mom to JB Nails & Spa together today. I got a gel manicure and my mom got her first ever pedicure; I wanted to treat her to a nice spa pedicure. We got her the Deluxe Pedicure. She had a very positive experience especially for her first time, and Tammy did a fantastic job, my mom left feeling pampered and very relaxed. (And her feet have never looked better!) My gel manicure came out great, I requested an off-white color with snowflake designs for my work's upcoming holiday party, and Kenny did a great job, the designs turned out better than the example I showed him from Pinterest. Worst nail experience in my life. I believe it was Angel who talked my ear off and then proceeded to give me the worst acrylics known to man. They were like cement blocks on my fingers. I specifically told her that I wanted THIN acrylics to look natural. I wanted them to be "tapered square" but they were big, thick and square like Frankenstein's jaw. Awful experience, awful result. Kenny is AMAZING! I cracked my acrylic nail (bad work from a different salon) and he was very gentle in removing my old set-- kept asking if it hurt. My wife works graveyard shifts and woke up later in the day craving a pedicure. She suggested JB Nails & Spa since she had a great experience there before. I checked Yelp and saw they were closing in 11 minutes--bummer, since we were 15 minutes away. Still, she decided to call, and to our surprise, the kind lady (possibly the owner) said they'd happily wait for us. We were blown away and rushed over! My wife convinced me to get my first ever pedicure too--I've spent 30 years beating up my feet with basketball, running hundreds of miles, retail jobs, and long walks, so I figured it was time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. We were treated like royalty--offered water, pampered with products that smelled amazing, and never once made to feel rushed or uncomfortable.
