Have only been here for breakfast (a million and a half times) and it's one of my top favorites! Usually quite busy weekend mornings but they do have a take-out/cafe side which is less hectic. Ate lunch here again today. We go often. Nice place. Got the usual friendly, reasonable prices and fast service this time (the service has been variable from fast to painfully slow at times on our many visits). They always have some neat daily specials, not on the menu. They try to use as much locally sourced ingredients as possible. My pancakes, bacon and eggs was good (they actually made my bacon nearly crispy, as I asked for, which many eateries do not), but pancakes were a bit too brown on outside and not quite up to the standards of Main Street Over Easy's pancakes, IMHO. Wife has some veggie sandwich with a vinaigrette dip that she really likes. We both like their BAKED and seasoned "french fries". I personally think $2.25 or $2.50 for an Arnold Palmer iced tea lemonade blend is a bit much though. We'll be back again. We love the owner. :-) read more

Have been going here for years and I personally have never had a bad meal. Want to try new things but love Mom's breakfast burrito too much. Also loved the lavender London fog that they had a while back and would love to see that as a more permanent drink because it was so delicious. If you have a big group, recommended calling ahead on the weekends to get your name on the wait list. One thing that bugged me as someone who works in food service was that bussers don't take the clipboard with the check on it. They leave it on the table for the server to grab but hosts will still seat people at the table. Would like to see the check cleared with the rest of the table. read more

These guys make a mean eggs benedict. The eggs are always perfectly poached-never underdone or hard. The hot, thick, creamy and tangy hollandaise is just generous enough that I never feel the need to order extra, but my english muffins are never soggy, either. My only gripe are the potatoes. The homefries are well spiced with rosemary and paprika, but not salty enough and never cooked thoroughly enough to make them crispy in any dimension. Perfect this aspect, and Novo may become my new favorite breakfast joint for benes. read more

I was in Bozeman last month, I found The Nova Cafe for breakfast and was just Blown away. Not only was the Food spectacular, the servers were super friendly, the space was cool with some funkie Art and a real nice Vibe. I am a Breakfast guy and I just loved the different options for omelets and egg dishes. The coffee was great, amazing pancakes and just really good stuff. I must admit I did not have room for lunch so only did breakfast and dinner while in town. Five breakfasts in a row, I can't wait to get back to Bozeman. The Ale Works was nice for dinner and the Blackbird was as good as it gets for dinner also. Great little town you got going there, friendly, clean Beautiful. read more

we met here with some family and friends at 1pm on a Saturday. despite how crowded the place was, the wait wasn't too long. the decor was great and i loved the "either or" restrooms. my girlfriend got the special - french toast with chai peach compote and fresh blueberries. i got the biscuits and gravy served with a (supposed to be) over medium egg. the french toast itself was delicious, the chai peach compote was okay too but almost unnecessary with the flavor of the toast and the fresh blueberries. my biscuits and gravy - the taste was spot on, biscuits soft and fluffy and cooked to perfection. two complaints about my meal - egg was definitely easy easy barely cooked and the texture of the gravy was a lil weird to me. my gf's mom had the eggs benedict, i had one bite and it was a+ the things i didn't like were so few and far between and forgivable, and everything else was sooooooo good i had to give 5 stars. read more

Great breakfast spot on Main Street! My husband and I came here Sunday morning just before 10am, and it was packed. We ended up having to wait for 30-35 minutes. However, being from San Francisco, we are used to having to wait around that time frame for good food, and it paid off. The breakfast was delicious! We got the Veggie Egg scramble and Eggs Benedict with buttery biscuits. We didn't try the coffee so I can't speak to that. But if you're willing to wait and you're in the are, this is a great breakfast spot. It seemed to calm down between 11 and noon, so if you're not up for waiting, people seemed to be seated right away in that time frame. Prices are very reasonable! read more

The Nova Cafe, in downtown Bozeman, Montana, was always my favorite breakfast place. Their service was always spot on, not just people making a buck. The food was always so tasty and ethically/environmentally delicious as well. Every aspect of their establishment was something I felt good in supporting. They also supported local artists as well, which was way cool. I just visited Bozeman, for the first time since I moved away three years ago, and they had to be our first Montana breakfast! We keep trying the Nova, because until they remodeled and redid their menu a couple of years ago, we loved it, and had breakfast there at least once a week. And, in all honesty, there are not a lot of options in Bozeman for breakfast. My son still likes their Benedict, in general, although every now and then a special Benedict will be a miss. I don't like eggs Benedict, and I cannot remember a single breakfast there in the last year or two that was better than average. So sad, Nova! read more
