I'm so sad to say that I am not returning here. Pros: easy scheduling and many techs to choose from Cons: they rush you out, aren't very personable, and the quality of nails (depending on tech, I hope) can be poor That said, I didn't see the tech I scheduled my appointment with. They put me with someone else that was available, which was fine in the moment. I went in with a design in mind and already had a dip set on. The lady posed some obvious annoyance with my inspo picture, which made me second guess it and go with something simple. She then laughed at me, which didn't feel great, but it was ok. She didn't spend time talking to me or getting to know me, which would have been so nice. Once I find someone I like, I'm loyal and I will schedule with you religiously. Overall, I felt very meh about the experience abut still liked my nails. However, she did absolutely nothing with my cuticles, so I am including a picture of my nails not even 2 weeks after getting them done. For me, this is enough of a deal breaker to not return. Ultimately, it's a beautiful space and I love that there is a room for nails and another room for pedicures. It's a really nice place and I'm sure there are great techs. I hate leaving a bad review but this is the worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. Was looking for a new salon because I've just moved to the area and get pedicures every couple of weeks. My cuticles weren't properly cleaned up, Shayla my tech used an electric file across the top of my nails which should not be done without the consent of customer, there was also no need for this since I only do regular polish. There was some kind of white residue left all over my feet. My feet were not scrubbed well and only the top of my feet and legs were massaged, both at the same time simultaneously, it was a lazy massage. I am going to have to go get another pedicure since I head out on a cruise tomorrow. My toenails are also cut uneven and not symmetrical at all. This is unfortunate because had this been a great experience, I would have become a regular customer. I also had my mother in law and my sweetheart with me. So, My family and I wanted to give it a try. We went in for a spa pedicure and a gel manicure. I had called ahead to make sure they were able to take us in. I had a gel pedicure at this place about 6 weeks ago, Great job, the woman that did my pedicure asked what I wanted and I always get the deluxe pedicure. Shop clean, great massage chairs. Today I went back and the person who did my pedicure didn't ask what I wanted and just started doing a regular pedicure. She rushed through the pedicure and was done in less than 30 minutes. I have never had a gel pedicure that was completed that fast. She took about a minute to use hot stones and did not deal with my rough skin on my feet. My feet are still rough and could probably cut someone. I am really not sure if I will try this place again read more

Totally ripped me off! I made a mistake and entered $5 instead of $15, so the next time I took my wife there he over charged me $50! I paid $150 to get my wife's nails done. She recently had a stroke. I sometimes don't pay close enough attention to my receipts, but I will from now on. The manager is a crook who will take advantage of his customers. I'll never go back. Went today for the first time & saw Jojo! What a great experience. I was welcomed right away by the owners husband. Water was offered (juice boxes for the kids). I used to go to this nail salon and stopped because the techs were so bad. They're lazy and will leave old polish on nails that can be seen through a rebase. After evert visit, at least three nails would break within a few days. But my elderly, 73 year old mother continued to go. After every service they seem to charge her extra, even though she asks how much it will be. One time they said they polish was, after she had already asked. Just yesterday, they tried to charge her extra because it took too long?? Where is it posted that if it "takes too long" it will be extra? Why didn't they tell her during the service that it would be extra? Stay away from this place. They do horrible and they are scamming seniors. I'll be making formal complaints with ALL of the appropriate organizations. You don't practice sound business acumen, therefore, you shall get less. read more

The first time I came to Nova Nails was during Christmas. I called many nail salons and no one would take me but Nova squeezed me in. This is what made me return. I live all the way in Jemez and it's a long drive to get my nails done while I do other errands. This last time I made an appointment and unfortunately ran late due to traffic. I've been here twice. The first time I got overlay with Jojo (the owner). I left thinking my nails looked great because they did, a few days later they started lifting and chipping. Today I decided to give her another try and let her know the issue. I showed up 15min early to my appointment and still waited 30minutes at her table after my appointment time because she tried to squeeze someone else in. I left after 30minutes because I had other things to do and it was inconsiderate that I wasn't updated on what I was doing. Why would I spend my hard earned money somewhere who didn't value my time? However, they are kind and even have complimentary water, but I didn't appreciate my time being wasted. read more

HUGE disappointment! The nail tech talked my mother out of the color she wanted so she picked another one. My mother got several cuts on her toes and began to bleed. My gel nails have thin patches, the gel is not cured properly so there are streaks and weird rough patches. There was a massive prehistoric looking cockroach that was running all over the place. Don't think I will be coming back after paying $50 for a fill when my nails were not even very grown out.. just really wanted a color change. I have never had to pay anywhere close to $50 for a fill. Also maybe the lady misunderstood but I wanted my nails trimmed shorter and instead she just shaped my oval nails to be really pointy which I don't quite like. I am currently sitting at nova waiting to get my nails taken off because I had already decided I did not want to come to this place anymore, and funny enough I made my appointment for 3:30 and it's 3:52 as I am typing this. I asked the child at the front desk if I should come back later and she told me she would be done shortly so here I am finally writing a review on why you should save your money and not come here. The last time I came to get my nails done I made a appointment online and again had to wait 10+ minutes after my scheduled time to be seen, not only do they make fun of your nails (showing off my hands/ nail growth to other workers and laughing) but on top of that I has made my appointment with jojo which I'm pretty sure is the owner and she kicked me to the curb basically because she had something more important to do and left so I got handed to someone who was just available at the time.
