This restaurant is so popular, that they only had day-of reservations left for high top tables -- for 6:30pm on a Wednesday night! I wanted to love this place and that's how things began. Sadly, the entrees weren't great. The restaurant is gorgeous. Set in what was once the Star Theatre, the structure is impressive, with soaring ceilings and decor that tastefully celebrates the early days of hollywood. There was even a screen showing Breakfast at Tiffany's. My date started off with an IPA and I had the yummy strawberry basil mocktail. We shared the Middle Eastern Plate appetizer and it was surprisingly scrumptious, including some outstanding grilled gluten-free pita for me. So our expectations were high when the entrees came and the letdown was harsh once we'd had a few bites. My date had the chicken parm- his favorite- and he described it as "okay". He, like me, was disappointed by the red sauce, which lacked the rich flavor and texture that our favorite Italian joints have mastered. I ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo with no dairy & gluten free modifications. I was impressed by how easygoing they were about modifications. My dish had a couple of pieces of shrimp and a generous portion of lobster meat which I regretfully couldn't eat because it tasted too fishy. The shrimp seemed fresher, but was ruined for me by the gamey lobster so I mostly ate the gluten free penne and sauce, plus some crispy Brussel sprouts on the side, which were tasty. Although the wait staff were quite competent, we found it odd that they didn't offer fresh pepper or parmesan cheese. And come to think of it, there was no pre-meal bread for the table either. I wish I had better news for you, but Novara just didn't make the cut. read more

Nestled just a couple minutes off the I-93 highway, we got very good service from the beginning as it was windy outside and although they have a patio, they gave us good feedback to finalize our decision to sit inside. And once seated, you'll get the opportunity to take in the high ceilings and gigantic and prominent TV screen (at the time playing Charlie Chaplin movies) mounted above their open concept kitchen. The window panes above the booths were a nice touch to the personality of the interior which lends itself a modern and classy vibe. The espresso martini I ordered (and you'll see many more of these in the photos of my reviews) was above the rim and while noticing the base of the glass was a bit brown, our waiter explained that it was much higher above the rim than where I saw it and attempted to bring it over without spillage. For our lunch, we ordered off their Tre Corsa menu, which at $22 per person for a 3-course meal is most definitely worthwhile, with one exception at their main menu. For the price point of the Tre Corsa, you get pretty good quality for the product - for the apps, the Caesar Salad (crisp and not soggy) and Calamari Fritti (sufficient squid though the plating presentation could've been cleaner), for the entrées, the Florentine Cod (very tender with nicely roasted potatoes) and the Steak Marsala (nicely executed for the doneness based on the cut), and for the dessert, Vanilla and Pistachio Gelato (the latter having a very in-your-face in-a-good-way flavor). The tuna melt outside of the Tre Corsa menu was, for its price, very fair for its portions - bread was crisp and buttery with very nice contrasting texture amongst the tuna and celery. Our waiter was very professional, attentive and transparent in the way he serviced us - from explaining what happened to the expresso, the manner when the dishes arrived and the process of giving us the bill. It's crazy how there's such an open, fancy restaurant in the middle of downtown Milton! This place was gorgeous inside and out. We decided to just get drinks and apps and it was a good choice. The crispy cauliflower was out of this world! They drizzled the roasted cauliflower in lemon and honey poppyseed dressing which made a really great sweet/savory combo! I didn't even know what a sweet potato aranici was before come here, but I don't think I'll ever forget it - they were basically sweet potato meatballs with gorgonzola cheese and balsamic glaze. Ugh! I wish there were more than just four of them on a plate. The drinks were STRONG - I got one margarita and it had enough tequila for three drinks. Seriously! I arrived at this fine establishment and was impressed by the ambiance. We were here celebrating a friend's birthday and I must declare that it is the perfect venue for a celebration such as this. We were greeted at the bar by a lively bartender named Mia. She was serving more than just drinks, she was serving looks. The cocktails Mia made were beyond exquisite as they brushed up against my taste buds. The food was debonair and seasoned to perfection. My fragile heart was filled with joy by the friendliest bartender in the land. I was specifically impressed by Mia and the other bartenders. This place is what it is because of them. They are the glue holding this establishment together. I ordered the Tiramisu Espresso Martini and was sent to an ethereal plane of flavor. On Sunday 2/23 I scheduled a 2pm reservation but when I showed up they were unable to find my reservation. The hostess was able to accommodate us despite not seeing our reservation. The outdoor patio dining is very nice for the summer time. I always enjoy bringing my friends or do business meetings at this restaurant because the foods are amazing and the price is super reasonable. It is a great quality for the price. Love their lunch special menu as well. The dishes that stood out for us the most yesterday was the seafood scampi, the shrimps and scallops were both huge and sweet, the sauce and the pasta were amazing (wish there was more pasta!). I called to see if I could get a reservation for 6 people for Wednesday evening March 13th. I placed my call around 1:30 PM . The person that answered the phone took my name and information and placed me on hold. When she returned she informed me there was no availability. I said can we stop in see if there are any cancellations . She rudely told me I already told you we are booked. My advice have someone answer your phones that knows how to treat people with respect. Great Service I booked a table for 6 and then needed to add two more. The manager called me and reassured me that they would be able to accommodate our party of eight. We were celebrating my husband's 75 birthday. We were seated at a long table in a private room and were treated in an attentive and very accommodating way. This place is adorable! It's located in an old movie theater which is also the source of its I aspiration for the decoration theme. They did a fantastic job updating it but still staying true to its history. Due to COVID, the tables indoors are all separated by plastic dividers and spaced 6ft apart. They also have the sliding doors open to give indoors an outdoor feel. They have several tables outdoors that are covered by an umbrella and some mood lighting. It's beautiful! The food was also delicious! We tried several things: Cesar salad, bolognese, Marsala, and cannolis. All delicious! They also have great gelatos but it's not home made. We were there on derby day which they played on all TVs with sound. That was unexpected but really appreciated. Service was also very fast but you don't feel rushed. We came here for a birthday lunch and were seated outside. Our waitress was very accomodating. For appetizers, we ordered the mediterranean plate and calamari fritters, both were super flavorful. Oysters were fresh. I ordered the salmon and the pork francese. A little on the heavier side for the entrees, so I didn't finish all of it. The chicken parmesan isn't pictured, but it was solid, the pasta was fresh, you can tell from the better bite you get from fresh pasta! All in all, a good place to come to for a special occasion, prices are fair but on the more expensive side but it was expected because of the ambience. Wow! Food and service were amazing. We started with a couple drinks, Watermelon Frose and Bulliet Bourbon Old Fashion and ordered some Calamari. Drinks were good, but to expensive at $13 each. Calamari was crispy and moist with lemon aioli and marinara. It was fantastic. My wife ordered the scallops which came with lobster and asparagus risotto. The whole dish was amazing. Scallops were seasoned and seared nicely and the risotto was loaded with lobster and the asparagus was nicely cooked. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and the flavor on the Marsala was exceptional, plenty of mushrooms and the chicken was cooked to perfection. We ordered an order of cannolis for dessert and a peanut butter cup martini. Neither disappointed. Overall A+++, so much more on the menu I want to try, so we will be back. read more

This is my husband and my second time coming here (both for special occasions: anniversary and birthday) and will definitely be coming back! Service: 5/5 Both times we have had exceptional service. Last night, the host welcomed us and sat us quickly, making pleasant small talk (which felt very natural; he is clearly great at his job)! The first time we sat at the bar and everyone was attentive and fast-moving. Our waiter last night was excellent- very polite, made sure to pre-bus the table throughout service, and refilled drinks promptly. Ambiance: 5/5 Loved it inside, but much preferred outside! My husband and I both struggle with sensory processing disorders, making loud noises even louder, often causing an overwhelming experience in restaurants or stores. Luckily, last night we were able to sit on the patio, which was so pleasant and our toddler son loved looking at the flowers around where we were sitting. Food and Drink: 4/5 I got the Hot and Skinny cocktail and FINALLY a spicy tequila drink with a decent kick! I love spice and many "spicy" drinks I order are too tame at other places. I highly recommend this drink if you like tequila and heat. I would keep coming back simply for the sweet potato arancini. It is a really composed bite: fried and seasoned well, richness with the cream sauce, acidity from the balsamic glaze, and crunch from the sweet potato chip garnish. I also got the crispy cauliflower, which was tasty, but could use more of a kick or seasonings (personal preference). As a vegetarian, I like menus that provide more dishes than simply a frozen veggie burger, so Novara definitely delivers on this front! My husband got the wing appetizer and chicken and broccoli dish. Both were tasty, however broccoli was unevenly cooked (some very soft, some much harder than al dente). The wings, again tasty, however again inconsistently cooked (crispy on top, but soggy towards bottom of bowl). I suspect this could simply be a plating issue, as the heat from the top wings seemed to steam those at the bottom of the bowl, which could easily be corrected if plated flat on a plate. Again, everything was very tasty and we ate everything, but just wanted to give my honest constructive criticism. Bonus: We loved that the gave our son Wiki Stix to play with (bendable wax sticks) because it was different from the usual crayon and paper, which as a small toddler, he gets bored of quickly. This was a different type of sensory toy that kept him busy through most of the meal! This special attention paid towards families who want to enjoy a night out with small children, was greatly appreciated!
