YA GOTTA GO! This is my second time going to this location and I will continue going. The gnocchi is one of the best I've had and it keeps me going back for more. This time, I did take out but the food was equally as delish. The restaurant is cute and quaint and the service is very friendly. The food is also very well priced for the quality. GNOCCHI GRATINADO 11/10 bursting with flavor, soft, and melts right in your mouth! This 4 cheese gnocchi is gooey, sharp, and buttery. I tend to struggle with 4 cheese gnocchi's because I don't like Gorgonzola cheese very much as it overpowers dishes, and thankfully this dish did NOT taste like Gorgonzola:) COSTILLAS DE CORDERO 7/10 Nothing special, they taste how they're supposed to taste. Don't get me wrong they were very tasty but after the bomb gnocchi, I guess I just expected more. However, keep in mind that I did take out so the dish could very well be different at the restaurant. Complimentary bread was soft in the inside and crisp on the outside. The sauce it comes with appears to be a garlic aioli sauce, very garlicky, very flavorful. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Ended up with food poisoning after eating the ice berg wedge salad, and NY strip steak. We're from out of town, so spent the next 24 hours in the hotel room recovering from extreme diarrhea, fever, chills, etc. This was after we changed tables 3 times because the tables were so filthy we didn't feel comfortable having our son eat. Shame on us for not leaving. read more

I gave 2 stars because, although overly priced, the food can be really good....depending on the chef. My issue is: the chefs shouldn't be eating the food while cooking it. Worst: one of them LICKED EVERY FINGER ON HIS HAND while eating and preparing the food for customers!! He then proceeded to place the food with his saliva covered fingers on the plate!!!! This place has not changed, especially this location. Still the same from pre COVID. The service is great and the food does not disappoint. This is my favorite location. We came here on a Tuesday night as they offer 1/2 price wine on that day. We were offered a table inside or out and we chose inside due to the heat and humidity. We were offered the Miami Spice menu but it was somewhat limited so we ordered a steak and a preferred pasta dish from the regular menu to share instead. The food was good and service was fast, friendly and attentive througout the meal, but both of us experienced gastric upset later that night from something we'd eaten here. It should also be noted that Novecento has a fairly high markup on at least some wines - to the point where we came here on 1/2 price wine night, and purchased a bottle for about the same price we could get it at other restaurants in Miami at regular price any day of the week. I personally found the menu just a bit limited in selection. A side note: WOW this place gets loud inside and could definitely do with some sound absorbency on the ceilings! There were 2 parties of 4 seated in the middle of the place, and they were talking so loudly that it was deafening The front of this restaurant has floor to ceiling glass windows and the ceiling above the bar and dining area is flat, painted and also reflects noise, causing it to become really loud inside when it's busy. Again, acoustic treatments would work wonders. read more

I went here with a big group during a World Cup game and the ambiance was delightful. They had music and a carnival style dressed woman danced at tables during halftime. Everything that we ordered was delicious, for starters I'd recommend the steak empanadas and the ham and cheese empanadas. They are filled to the brim. I'd also recommend the choripán, the blue cheese French fries and the the gnocchi. Others othered Bloody Marys and they were a hit. The only downside was that it was a little tough to split the check for a big group but that's not uncommon. The server was very personable and friendly. read more

Met a friend for a very late brunch here. We thought they had a lunch menu for miami spice month but it was only dinner. The place was not packed at 2:30pm on a Saturday, people were coming in but mostly empty. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and she had the steak and eggs as well as an empanada. These guys knocked it out of the park! We went last minute on Christmas Day and they were slammed. Even with being super busy they did a fantastic job with seating us quickly at the table we requested. I find sitting inside is usually SLIGHTLY better than sitting outside. Their burger is a hit or miss. We three, with a picky first grader, happened to look for a lunch at Key Biscayne, and had a pretty good experience for coming to an unfamiliar place. Very nice outside sitting area, quick and pleasant service, overall nice vibes. Good beef empanadas. Sweat breads were served in an interesting way, with mushrooms and string beans, but came a little too salty and greasy, which is sad -- hardly anyone serves them and one hopes that those who do know what they are doing. read more

I understand Key Biscayne has limited restaurants. However, this is not an excuse for mediocre food, terrible service, air cond not working, men yelling obscenities because of a soccer game on a huge TV The menu is limited, I had linguini with shrimp for $26. No bread, no salad, I habpve eaten at other Novexento locations and it's certainly very different. I would stay away from this restaurant. read more

I asked for the manager to discuss the trash and lack of service --- manager never came. After 30 more mins we got our charcuterie board, no waters, no utensils, no wine. Finished the food, wine got there 10 mins later, it was oxidized and undrinkable. I asked to talk to the manager again. Waited. Nothing. I approached the security guard to ask for the manager, he was very nice and apologetic, I believe Fabian was his name. He said the manager was busy and could not talk. Very disappointing experience. I will never return. The hope is that ownership sees this and changes management. Poor management turned into poor staffing, which turned into disappointed customers. We were not the only ones. If you decide to visit, I say...... BYOB and enjoy the views. They are so incredibly understaffed, it's not worth the frustration to try and get service. Food quality was poor.

I was given a menu and a glass of water timely and the lady behind the bar seemed friendly. There were plenty of staff around waiting tables and backing the bar. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich and a draft beer. The beer came right away in a plastic mug. The pour was less than 12 oz. (small mug) and the brew was barely chilled. Almost room temperature. After 20 minutes and no fish sandwich, the bar lady came by and asked me: "Did you get your fish sandwich?" I said no. She then went in the main building (presumably where the kitchen is located) coming out a few minutes later while holding up 2 fingers, mouthing "2 minutes." The sandwich was $22 without fries (which were and extra $9 as a side). I didn't order those. The half-pint warm beer was $8. About 7 minutes later, another server came from the main building and delivered a scrawny, soggy bun containing a thick, small, undercooked, hunk of blackened fish flesh only 80% skin free. I had to finish the filleting myself. The toppings were parsley and onion. It was the ugliest and most tasteless blackened fish sandwich I have ever been served. I should've taken a photo. Anyway, by this point, I was in a hurry to get out of there as the place was a total fail. I picked at the fish with my fork and knife and ate the part that was actually meat and cooked, leaving the rest (skin included) and the soggy bun on the plate. With an 18% gratuity included, a simple grilled fish sandwich with no sides and a warm beer came out to almost $40. On the positive side, the view of the water and the Miami - Brickell skyline was good. However, I won't be coming back to this joint again. If I could give it Zero stars, I would.

Curated by the very knowledgeable owner and sommelier Alegra. I don't personally know her but her staff's adoration of her only ingratiated the event that much more. It sounded like she really took time and care into curating this lovely event. Overall there were 16 tables with anywhere from 4-10+ wines to try from all around the world. I think it's so cute how they also have a scavenger hunt and loved that the first table was a spin-the-bottle. Very creative. The special prices for the wines were also a great touch along with tags describing the wines as, "old school," or "delicioso." The selection of wines in the store was just as impressive as the ones being showcased for the event. All in all, this is a great establishment that also holds wonderful events.

Aaron is wonderful to work with, communicative, and super accommodating. Whether we needed to bring our own little desserts or to come see the space set up for someone else's wedding, he always made it work for us. He worked with us to customize our menu and we were super happy with how the food turned out. They can do a lot in house, cutting down the need for more vendors and planning and making the whole thing super easy. For us, buffet dinner, appetizers, dessert, open beer and wine bar, linens, tables/chairs, and venue rental were all included in one very reasonable fee. They're easy and pleasant to work with, and if that wasn't enough, the waterfront view is incredible. If you come during a grad student happy hour, just know that the place cleans up into a beautiful and classy venue very easily. A million thanks to Aaron and team for a wonderful experience start to finish!
