Hello just wanted to say this place is absolutely stellar. A rock put a tennis ball sized crack in the middle of my windshield on Saturday. I was able to make an appointment for Tuesday morning no problem. They where able to take my insurance and made my experience completely hassle free. I called a couple of other windshield repair spots before and they just weren't close enough to the quote I got from Novus. I then talked to Don who was very friendly and quick to schedule me for a windshield repair. After nearly 15 years of doing business with franchisee Don Hilts at Novus glass, I will no longer EVER do business with them again. like Don I am small business owner relying on others service to make things flow and complete jobs on time in my repair shop. A summarized version of what happened come down to we called six weeks in advance to order a windshield for a upcoming job were a deer went through the windshield and damaged the roof. So we call as normal and order the glass and requested an offsite drop off and install on two separate days which in the past has never been an issue, so they agreed per normal. Approaching the first drop off date we had not heard anything so that day comes and goes, so that following Monday we call and get a total load of bull and a well were super busy (mind you they agreed to this drop off date six weeks in advance, as is anyone with a small business these days were all very busy) so the technician say tell yah what I will do an afterhours drop off for you between 5pm -7pm(well after my business closes) so sat around and waited till 730pm for a no show, so we call the next day and get the same line as before ( so I go and pick it up myself because without it I can't finish my next 8hr shift) now when I pick it up I directly ask if were still on for the following week for the actual install and as the theme goes I got the yah were all set so I ask what time oh between 11 and 12. As the same as before that time comes and goes and again a no show no call (very unprofessional) so again we call and get the same load of bull were to busy, reminding them that they agreed to do this job six weeks in advance. So if you want to be lied to repeatedly I suggest you have them do the work for you other wise I highly suggest you take your glass work to some one that cares about loyalty and service and not the three ring circus that Don runs at NOVUS GLASS IN BANGOR MAINE read more

This company is a joke along with the owners they replaced my broken windshield with a badly marked up windshield ( looked like a grinding tool my have bounced across it)and after it was installed they had me walk in to the garage to take a look at the already installed windshield to see if I wanted them to order me a new windshield in there previous post they said they hadn't installed the windshield and seen there was a "blemish" on the windshield do I want to reschedule and order a new one? witch makes no sense my old windshield was already out of my truck was I to drive down the road with no windshield in my truck ?? I had no choice but to sign off on the winshild and then to make me feel better the offered my new windshield wipers and then they told me i declined the free wipers that they ofered for the inconvenience! Who in there right mind would turn that down . Like a said they are a joke the boyfriend has a bad temper (should seek help from a anger management program) go to SAFELITE you wont be verbally aboused you will get perfect windshield no hassle and every Install receives a new pair of wiper complimentary! Not because the did something wrong and have to fix a mistake like this company! read more

Worst possible place to get your winshield done. They have by far the worst customer services. The glass was not properly sealed, they broke my rear view mirror, left all the gas inside of my car. They scratched my freshly painted hood. Don't let people like this take your money, they have no genuine idea of how to run a shop. They do a very horrible job and break things while they at it, without owning up to it. 100% wouldn't recommend this at all. read more

I made an appointment with "Don" last week for 9AM Monday (July 7). When I showed up, the shop was closed, and another customer was still waiting for his 8AM appointment. Each of us had driven over an hour to get there. I later learned that Don went on vacation, had his calls forwarded to North Carolina, and the "tech" didn't know about the appointments and never showed up for work! Way to go, Don. Don't bother coming back from vacation. Your customers won't come back, either. read more
