I almost bought the car I liked because I didn't think anyone would be able to see it before I had to return it. I am so glad I didn't do that. Service: In comes James from Automotive Inspection Services, who was able to come to my parked car that same day and give a thorough inspection. He's a really friendly guy and must have taken 50 photos in addition to driving the vehicle around the area. The whole time, he educated me on what to look for in terms of leaks and vehicle performance, and is generally easy to talk to. I still like the car, but with James' help, was able to go in with a significantly lower-but more importantly CONFIDENT-offer. Reflection on experience: I think James' services were more helpful because the dealership has their own motivation to sell or overlook things. My regular mechanic may have even tried to sell me some kind of service, but James was there for advice. He even followed up the next day to see where I was on the purchase.
