I had two tires with low pressure triggering an "NOW ALERT" for my vehicle. I took it to the McLean, VA NTB on Spring Hill Road on 4/23/26 and the team was STELLAR! They evaluated my car even though they had several appointments scheduled and gave me a call to update me 30 minutes after their 6PM CLOSING TIME as a courtesy. When I picked up the car the next day, they informed me that the pressure valves for the two tires were deficient, they replaced them and handed me the keys.....NO CHARGE!! Everyone was so professional, polite, and engaging. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY SERVICING WITHIN THEIR EXPERTISE ! Mark was particularly kind and informative. My husband dropped off my car yesterday for a tire replacement. We were told it would be ready by 6PM before the shop closes. Later we're told to pick it up the next morning. This morning, my husband called and was told it would be ready by noon. Then, just as I was getting ready to pick it up, we were told it wouldn't be ready until 3 PM! Seriously? All this just to change ONE tire--not an entire set! If the tire wasn't available or there was going to be a delay, that's fine, but please be upfront from the beginning instead of leaving customers in limbo with constantly changing pickup times.bPoor communication and bad customer service. I don't usually complain or feel the need to leave a review but I scheduled a 10 am appointment and called and was told to come in at 9am my car didn't get worked on until 1015 then it took till 1130 to get out of there. Also during my wait they called me back in the shop to ask me where my rim was and when I told the mechanic it was in my trunk when I walked in he looked at me confused because another mechanic grabbed it making me panic thinking I was going to have to buy a new rim. Then asked me if I wanted to replace a TPS sensor for 200 bucks which I declined then when I got my car I noticed a shiner sensor which means they broke it and tried to sell me one. Also my balance seems to be off because my car sounds like an airplane taking off. I had to use my own leave for something that was supposed to be a quick and painless fix. read more

We got one flat tire... so we came here since it was close and we didn't want to break down or cause an accident. NTB said it would take a couple hours. So far, we are still waiting after 3 1/2 hours and they finally got to our car. And now it's going on FIVE HOURS!!! FIVE!!!!! And they still haven't replaced the tire. Or fixed the TPMS sensors. The employees are yelling at each other. Arguing. The mgr in charge is missing and isn't taking any calls. Will we ever get out of here???? It's 6pm and we've been here since 1pm. WTF???? Will update later..... 6 hours and 45 mins later... one patched tire & 2 tpms sensors changed but one is defective so I will have to go back and get that fixed... a customer SHOULD NOT have to stay in the waiting area that long for a minor repair yet here we are. Also, the mechanic who worked on my car decided to leave without finishing the job. He left when his time was up. Eventually the manager and another mechanic had to finish up an hour after he left. I know they are doing their best but sometimes, their best isn't good enough. And the arguing and screaming between coworkers in front of customers is not a good look. No coffee, no cups, no sugar, no creamer, nothing in waiting area. Not very welcoming at all for customers. Overall a really bad and negative experience. I wasted basically my entire afternoon & early evening. I would give a negative star but Yelp doesn't allow it. I will be giving their mgmt a earful and then some. District manager & regional manager be ready. The least they could have done is comped my charges as my time is expensive, more than their labor per hour. They actually owe me money! Update the day after: they gave me a bad sensor so they reordered one and I am back here again to get it re-installed. I might have to take up residence here. Just missing a bed and a bathroom with a shower. It's been an hour. I appreciate the manager fitting me in while they are busy but I have been here over 8 1/2 hours the past 2 days. Still waiting for them to finish... So finally I was able to get out of there. A little longer than expected but the dang flat tire light was still on. They guaranteed me that the sensor is good and the plugged tire is also good. All the tire pressure amounts were good. As soon as I pulled out of NTB's vicinity, the flat tire/tpms light was off and I drove the car around for a couple hours running errands and all is good. Overall, it is still absurd for me to waste all that time there in the past couple of days. And I had to return cause the issue wasn't fixed. But now, I am satisfied with the result (for now). Add 2 stars for actually eventually getting it right and apologizing. All I wanted was a safe vehicle and ultimately, after going the long way around, I got there. read more

Brought my son's car here for an alignment. Two young employees looked at the tires and claimed: The front and rear tires were not the same, so alignment would not be possible. (False.) The tires were worn and cracked. (There were no cracks, and I did the penny test.) They insisted the tires had to be replaced before they could do the alignment. Their estimates kept changing, and they eventually quoted over $800 for tires and alignment. It seemed suspicious, so I declined and went to McLean Goodyear Auto Service instead--where the alignment was done for $150. I suggest the business owner properly train their employees, and warn potential customers to watch out for this kind of cut-throat behavior. read more

I went here after getting a flat tire and had my car towed in. Keenan was helpful and made sure my car was checked quickly even though they were busy. I paid $150 for a new tire and left thinking everything was fine. The very next day, that same tire was completely flat again. I put air in it and drove 30 minutes back. When I called ahead, the person on the phone immediately blamed the roads and said I probably ran over something, which felt dismissive. When I arrived, they found that a piece of metal had cut the tire. Despite just buying the tire the day before, I was told there was no warranty and my only option was to pay for another new tire. The manager, Mark, and employee with tattoos and big glasses were very passive aggressive throughout the interaction. I was talked down to, laughed at, and even told they wouldn't put my tire back on if I "kept arguing." When I tried to get their names, they refused and handled it unprofessionally. I ended up leaving with the damaged tire and went somewhere else where I got better service, a lower price, and an actual warranty. Very disappointing experience overall. I needed a jumpstart, and they tried to charge me $400 for a new battery after refusing to jumpstart my car. I had to get help from someone else to start my car and drive away. I came to this NTB location to get a single tire patched after calling ahead to confirm the price. The representative on the phone quoted me $29.99 for my specific year, make, and model vehicle, which I agreed to. After the service was completed, the employee at the counter attempted to charge me nearly $70, which was more than double what I had been told. When I pointed out the discrepancy, I was told that each location has different pricing and that the phone representative must not have known. After I refused to pay that inflated amount, I was offered a "discount" to $48, which was still significantly higher than the quoted price. The employee then tried to justify it by saying that the pricing varies based on the car's make and model. For context, I drive a common consumer vehicle with standard 17-inch wheels, not an exotic vehicle with specialty tire requirements. Additionally, the employee I had spoken to prior had ALREADY CONFIRMED that the price for my car's year, make, and model was $29.99. Only after further pushback did they drop the price again to $37.93, which clearly showed that the initial numbers were inflated. At that point it was obvious that this was a classic markup and fake discount tactic, and I paid just to be done with the situation. On top of the pricing issues, the employee also tried to convince me to buy new tires without taking any measurements or doing an inspection. My vehicle is very new and has very low mileage, and I had just recently had it inspected, so I know that new tires are completely unnecessary. The attempt to upsell me on something I did not need only added to the feeling that they were trying to take advantage of me. I want to make it very clear to anyone considering this shop that they will SIGNIFICANTLY mark up their prices and then pretend to discount them to make it seem like you are getting a deal. Took my car in after making an appointment and was told it would be 3 hours. I Ubered to the mall, ate lunch and walked around for a while until 3 hours were up and I ubered back (waste of $50 in total). Surprisingly enough, my uber driver did tell me they don't honor warranties on tires here and he had a bad experience there, but I told him I had gotten a tire plugged there once before and it seemed like a good business. Boy was I wrong Upon my return from waiting on my car, I noticed my car was yet to be moved and had not even been started. The manager told me 2/3 of his mechanics left early and they hadn't started on it. No call, no text, and no communication at all. In fact, they still needed to offer the breaks from their warehouse after they look at the current ones... A complete waste of my Saturday, a complete waste of my time, and plenty of money wasted for no reason, to accomplish nothing, as my car just sat there. Bring Your Car ANYWHERE ELSE. I came Sunday to replace four tires. When I got home later that day I noticed all of the rims (predominately rim edges) were newly scratched and they were covered in mounting lubricant. I called NTB immediately to state what happened. The following morning the manager requested to bring the vehicle into the shop. She accused me of playing bumper cars with a curb and stated it was old damage. I asked if she could give me the contact information for her regional manager to try and resolve the issue. Dropped off my car for wheel alignment. They quoteed me the price which is way higher than what dealership charges. When I asked about it then the service man immediately agreed to give me discount. I immediately get suspicious and I felt like there is no fair price for customers. They don't have price chart for any service they offer. Based on customer they just quote randomly. Go to the back door! Parking is tough be aware. If there isn't parking infront of the back you have to go up the hill to park and walk to it. The service I got was tire rotation, alignment, and a synthetic oil change. They offered me half off on the oil change since I was getting 2 services already. Heavily appreciated it (: It did take 4 hours which was the downside, but I came when it was rush hour and I was getting a lot done definitely worth it. The service provided was perfect. Not impressed. Recently brought my vehicle in for 4 new tires and had a bunch of problems with them. Here are the biggest 2 problems: 1 - The guy checking me in added the extended warranty & associated cost to all my tires without my consent. Unless him mumbling things, including the words "extended warranty" while looking a computer screen and me standing there quietly counts as consent. One the people checking me out made it sound virtually impossible to remove the extended warranty. 2 - Their website made it way to easy to specify the wrong tire size for my vehicle, which meant I specified the wrong size and the shop was not alert enough to notice the problem, which caused several downstream headaches. To their credit, one of their staff members was awesome and noticed they had mistakenly overcharged me and called me to rectify the situation. Also to their credit, this same great staff member easily removed the extended warranty when I asked. Also to their credit, I have had similar terrible luck with other tire shops and car repair businesses, so even though they suck hard, they're ultimately pretty average for this line of business. read more

These guys are great. I had a flat tire on the way home a couple weeks ago. I was towed to this shop by AAA. After they fixed the first tire, they found a nail sticking in another tire. Getting two tires replaced at once was expensive, but they worked with me on the price. They got both tires replaced while I waited. It was fast and affordable. The guys were really nice too. Wait times can be long; the competitive, reasonable pricing may be worth it if the delays are negotiated/managed effectively. The shop allows you to bring your own parts, also affording would-be customers the opportunity to enjoy additional cost savings. If I could give a zero I would. I was there 6.5 hours for 4 tires. They didn't balance them. So I had to drive from Virginia to Pittsburgh with the steering wheel shaking. I was able to get them balanced at the Irwin PA NTB. They also broke one of the sensors that tells me my tire is low and the light is constantly on now. read more

I've used the McLean NTB for various services for many years. I brought my car in for a routine oil change in May 2024. The McLean NTB is under new management. Pros: The new store manager, David, is friendly and professional. He did not try to sell any unnecessary products or services. Cons: NTB does not mail coupons for oil changes anymore. We were in a "panic" when we found a metal screw in our tire. With very little time before we had to pick up our Granddaughter from school, JAAFAR performed a "miracle" and was able to install a new tire in under 45 minutes! I had the best experience today when I went to NTB. When I left the house to run errands today my check tire light went on again and I brought my car to NTB with a fast request, I needed a new tire within an hour due to my plans for the day. Edwin was so kind and understanding and checked his system to confirm her has the tire I needed. He passed on my paper work to Conrad and he quickly got to work. Professional, transparent and very honest. A big screw in my new tire brought me to NTB. Within two hours I had an estimate and by early afternoon I received a call to come pick up my car. I came here for a 4-wheel alignment. I received a phone call saying the rear controller arm needed replacing. I was told they would find the part and call me back. Instead, I received a phone call about an hour later that the car is done with only a front 2-wheel alignment. I asked what happened to the controller arm replacement and was told they couldn't find the part and take it to the dealer. The service rep was very snippy with me. When I went to pick up my car, I told the manager I would never have authorized a 2-wheel alignment and should have been called then the controller arm couldn't be found. I was charged for a 4-wheel alignment and told to return once the controller arm was replaced and they would do the rear. Although the manager took off $10 from the total, it was a waste of time to have only the front wheels aligned. I went to the dealer who was able to spray lubricant to loosen the rear controller arms to do a complete 4-wheel alignment. I will never do business with NTB again! read more

I had a horrible experience with NTB on what should have been a routine oil change. I had an appointment for the oil change yet when I arrived for the work, I was informed that the shop did not have the correct filter in stock. At this point I was already there so I decided to keep with the plan. 2 and 1/2 hours the oil change was completed. A day after the oil change, I noticed oil spots in my driveway. I returned to NTB so they could take a look. They claim that the rubber gasket is aging and responsible for a leak in the corner of the oil pan. Of course there was no mention of the gasket and no leak prior to the work at NTB. The bottom line is that I must now pay almost $500 to replace the oil pan. My mechanic says NTB was responsible for this problem. My advice is to avoid NTB. The operation there is unprofessional and their work is unreliable. I am one very disappointed and angry former customer. AVOID NTB! read more

I called this location maybe 5 o'clock in the afternoon to see if i can get a replacement tire after my shift at work , the guys asks for my tire size to see if they have it in stock then he tells me he might not be able to get it in time for closing.. no big deal so i asked if i was able to get off early would there be any issues getting it done he said no so i get here maybe 7:45 the door is locked but someone is inside he walks up and is like "what do you want "? I told him my story and he's like nah everyone around here is closed now mind you their buisness hours say 8:30 and the guy personally told me on the phone he would pull it for me and wait . My elderly father asked me to get his tires replaced. The tire pressure light was on when I picked it up. I asked the mechanic about the tire pressure light and he assured me it would turn off. I drove around for a couple weeks and the light never turned off. I came back 3 weeks later after my father asked me to bring it back toNBT to re-inspect the tire. NBT discovered that the tire pressure sensor needed to be replaced and we had that service done. When I picked up the car once again the tire pressure light was on once again. A mechanic once again told me to drive around and it will be off after a day. My dad notified me about 2 months later that the light never turned off. I did not have time to go take his car to NBT at the time. I just recently took the car to inspection and the inspector said the tires are fine and it's the sensors that was not fix by NBT. I called NTB and spoke with Kaya, who did not offer any resolve when I told her the situation. We have been coming to that particular NTB for latest 15-20 Years with all of our tire needs. She blamed it on us for not bringing it back within 30 days. I guess we just shouldn't trust NTB's words when they say it will be fine if you receive the car with lights still on. Better make sure they get all the lights off before you leave their shop. Their word is no good. Who has time to come back and forth for the same issue 3 times? I expected Kaya who is the manager (since February 2024 as she claims) to do more for their long term customers when they have inconvenience us to come back for a 3rd time for the same problem. 5 days in hell. Stephen King could write this book. Read this to the end, its great! My car blew out a rear tire on the highway. Its a run-flat so I limp into the nearest open place, which is NTB Mclean. I'm told my tire is not in stock, so they can order, should be in tomorrow. Pretty standard stuff for a tire shop. I let them know I have to drive to Ohio for work in two days, very important I get my car back, or let me know if I cant. 3 PM next day, nothing from the shop. I call, they say tire is "stuck in Chantilly" until tomorrow. OK, now I need to rent a car for two days, so I do that. $300. Get back from my 2 day trip, no word on my car. I call around 3 again. Tire not in shop. Guy starts telling me how its UPS's fault, not his. I'm thinking, wait what - you ordered my tire from where? You didn't have it available in local warehouse and didn't tell me? WTF! I go rent another car, because we are a two car family and cant function a whole weekend without the second car. Another $300. Store manager is on the case. Sunday afternoon, no word. I call give them some crap about solving the problem. Store manager complains about UPS. Seriously. He calls me back, and says "I have good news and better news" The good news is the tire can be here tomorrow and they can install it. I rhetorically ask - "So what's the good news?" He was baffled. Monday no word. I call. I get more talk about UPS, manager says they will have to order another tire. I decide to get my car towed to another shop. I show up in the store at 5. Nobody in the lobby. I wait and roam around, its a ghost-town. Then I see my folder behind the counter, and make my move. I got my key out of the folder, and literally, stole my own car off the lot so I could make an escape! We towed the car to Virginia Tire and Auto, who literally ordered my tire when I called an hour earlier, and had it in the shop by the time we arrived. Installed, next morning, no drama, awesome people, highly recommend them. NTB, not so much. read more
