Joe and Pablo recently did a huge amount of work on a truck most places probably would have turned away. I have a 2005 Ram that had spent about 4 years in New Jersey, and as a result all of the brake/steering components were rusted into oblivion. I knew it was going to be expensive, and sold a classic car to be able to pay for the needed repairs. $4k later and the truck drives better than it ever has. All new steering, new axles, new brakes, new shocks, we threw the works in there. Looking forward to another 12 years of use out of it. Only complaints are that they are a 2 person operation, so I usually had to call to get any kind of status update on the work. That, and they charged me (didn't notice until after I had paid or I wouldn't have paid for it) for "wheel cleaning and rotation" after I had told Joe I would be replacing the wheels and tires as soon as it was out of the shop. $60 for someone to blast the wheels with a pressure washer after being told they were going away doesn't make sense to me. I elect to believe Joe forgot that and thought he was helping me out. I would highly recommend the quality of work that this shop does. Not the quickest, but I would rather have something done right than fast (within reason). Call Joe if you need help with your Cummins. read more

My favorite kind of business is one that is run by an enthusiast. There needs to be a passion behind the purpose. Joe and his team live within the enthusiast realm of diesel truck ownership, I have used this shop for years. When you leave your truck with them, they know it is your baby and asked the right questions. Then you get updates via phone calls and when your truck is ready, they go over it with you and explain what they did and make future maintenance or improvement suggestions. Had the Check Engine Light (or MIL) come on in my 06 RAM 2500 Diesel and my regular OBDII scanner showed no error codes. Time to go to someone who has the Chrysler specific tools.. After reading horror stories on how bad the local dealer's service departments are, I spotted NTG Racing on the www.cumminsforum.com site with very high praise. Called them up and got an appointment for next morning. So far so good. It just kept getting better. They hooked my truck up to their scanner and resetted a couple error codes. Started the truck and no MIL, yay! Pulled out the shop and the light came back on, d'oh! Turns out I had a blown fuse (checked them myself, missed that one totally, felt like an idiot) New fuse and reset and I was on my way. These guys are the most professional mechies I've ran into in a long time and superawesome dudes otherwise too. So TL;DR:Got a Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep, go to NTG Racing! read more

I bought an 05 Ram 2500 diesel that had a ridiculous amount of aftermarket wiring routed throughout the truck for lighting that no longer was hooked up. Took it to NTG to have it all removed so I didn't rip something essential out myself. Not only did NTG do a flawless job for a fair price but they also pointed out several other areas of concern to me that a dodge dealership service center completely missed and/or failed to inform me of just a week prior. Joe did an excellent job of explaining everything to me even with the minimal amount of knowledge I have. These guys know trucks in & out and you can easily see they are passionate about their work. I pulled into the parking lot (right in front of the open garage bay door) at 1722 with a quick question and when the guy in the garage saw me pull in he quickly closed the door.. I checked the lobby door and it was locked as well. I know it was intimidating for such a bad ass Tundra to pull into a lot with a bunch of broke down dodges and fords and it was a Friday but geezz...Im sure working exclusively on those brand trucks will keep them busy enough so i will take my upgrades to my Tundra elsewhere. read more

I have a 1998 Dodge Cummins that I have owned for about 8 years. My previous mechanic, Jorge Alonzo Services spent four years not being able to get it quite right. Next it was on to J.T. Performance and that didn't work out well. I left with a check engine light on and my smog was due in a week. J.T. informed me that I needed a new PCM over the phone and he would order me one and have it in a couple of days. Called him back and he forgot to order it. Researched the forums and it turns out that the PCM for this truck seldom goes bad. Took truck to Keith's Auto Electric and it turns out that someone had tapped a wire into the PCM and it was causing it to go into a limp mode. Solved the problem with check engine light and passed smog. Now 2 to 3 years later the truck was lacking power. Back to the forums and NTG Racing appeared to be the best for Cummins. Joe and Pablo now have a customer for life which is how long I plan on keeping this truck. Prices are very fair and my truck had a lot of issues that were fixed in a timely manner. read more
