As first time customers, they ask if we would like to share our name and phone number to track their regular or frequent shoppers. I was given a $5 coupon that can be used on our next visit. Pre-loved items are in very good condition, sometimes a tag is still attached to it from the original store. Clothes Mentor smells so good that it sets your mood to shopping therapy mode ;-) They accepts cash or credit card payment. I could have given a 5 star rating however some of the staff were very insensitive to walk-in customers, most especially to those who don't speak or understand English at all. I saw the expression on their faces the dismay when an elderly customers ask and they seem to be not so helpful. You could hear the same answer like "whatever is out there is what we have". Also, some of them choose to greet whoever they want to greet that day. Very much commend one the clothes specialist working there named Linda, she was very polite, engaged in a conversation, and smiling the whole time. Lots of parking. Store hours Monday to Saturday starts at 10 am to 8 pm. Sundays open at 12 noon and closes early at 6pm. Still itching to spend your hard earned money? I anticipated having to return the shoes and buy them again online, but the sales associate swiftly explained that she could do a full exchange and have the correct size sent to me without me having to lift a finger (or charge my card again! Yay) The whole process was done in 3 minutes, and the new shoes are already on their way. I wish the fragrance department carried more brands (le labo, Diptyque, more products from the nue co), but there's also lots to peruse in that section as it is. Friendly and prompt service make this a great shopping experience.

Going downhill fast! Very disappointing trip to Nordstrom yesterday. After purchasing a dress on…read moreclearance from the juniors department, I realized they had left the plastic piece on the dress that can only be removed by the store. The second floor had next to no one available anywhere. I went to the juniors department, where I had purchased the dress, and was met with an associate who was on a personal call, and then very curtly told me that she "could not help" because she was now clocking out after concluding her personal phone call on her cell phone. I had to wait for her to wrap up her personal call before she shared her message of not being able to help with me. She then sent me to the other side of the store and said they were plenty of registers open. Well, not exactly. I did come across a nice associate, who was apparently in training, but she, too could not help me. She left to try to find someone who could help me. Another employee in training explained to me that it was not the employee in training's fault that she couldn't help me. I explained that I understood that and was then met with yet another Nordstrom employee, who appeared confused about my request. He, too, was going to get someone, or he said I could go to Customer Service. I decided to go to Customer Service where I asked if they could remove the plastic piece, and if she could check if there was another size in the dress as the original was slightly too big. While she was explaining to me that it was sold out, she actually opened up a piece of candy in front of me and started eating it. At this point, I said, I just wanted to return the dress altogether. All of this hassle for a one item return. Add to that, the reason I even went back was because they had left the large plastic piece (theft deterrent) on the dress. it was such a lackluster and disappointing visit to the store. I actually prefer Macy's at this point as they have far more help on the floor and they have a better energy in their store. The energy inside of Nordstrom was flat, and no one seemed excited or happy to be performing their job. Very disappointing experience. Based on this experience, I have decided that I am no longer a Nordstrom shopper.

They have what seemed to be a bridal boutique, but for Mothers of the Bride...Not sure if they also service Bridesmaids or have actual wedding gowns, but they have every accessory you could possibly think of for that special occaision. They have loads of jewelry and purses and bags and candles and soap and trinket-type gifts, lotions and potions and sunglasses, hosiery, home decor...it was a big mish mash of stuff, but it all worked...it all was wonderful and lovely, and I even bought myself a pair of sparkly flip-flops for ten bucks! When I explained to her that I have purchased the same brand pant at the cove in the size I wanted, she asked my name to look up my previous purchases because she didn't believe me. I walked further and at least found a whole wall socks. They at least had a smart wool socks and they were on sale for $13 a pair. I was able to buy almost $200 worth of socks for both of us. At least our feet will be warm the rest of the cool cold weather until spring returns. Might be good to swap out socks today, it's bitterly cold outside. The checkout area reminds me of a TJ Maxx or Marshalls. It announces when the cashier is free and their number for their counter.

Yes, that magnificence is but a memory. Mall shopping was a destination back then.
