This was a nice splurge lunch. Nubiani is inside a business building and oversees the corner of 32nd street... through its high windows. What a view. The decor is modern and clean. Like feels more upscale than your regular KBBQ spots. Made a reservation bc someone told me it can get quite pack. However, we went on a Thursday and notice it wasn't pack. Service was great, just like a good KBBQ spot, they will cook for you table-side, bring you all the yummy ban chan! We opted for the lunch BBQ with spicy pork. It was delicious and we left super full! The sides were also very good - the kimchi was delicious! It's the aged version and comes with a tofu stew. We got greedy and ordered a pancake... ugh, it was not needed! But it was so so good tho. It was definitely more food than we could eat for lunch... but we managed to eat 80% of our food. A splurge lunch, bc the price tag is a little higher than your average KBBQ. Enjoy!
The food was pretty good. The meat was good quality and they gave good side dishes including ice cream in the end, which was a surprise. Service was solid. However, I felt pretty uncomfortable that the staff wanted to kick us out at exactly 90-minute mark. I know many restaurants do this now and this was on the reservation page too, but it's just absurd to limit how long guests can have a meal after 20% minimum tipping. The restaurant was nicely decorated but they mostly just had high tops if you just have two people. I wouldn't come back to a restaurant that kicks out guests at 90 minutes.
What a nice kbbq experience!! I rlly liked the shrimp & chive pancake bc it wasn't super heavy and not full of batter like other places. Pretty light and crispy with a lot of shrimp and chives. Skirt steak was my fav, very tender and so much authentic flavor. Boneless short rib tasted like wagyu, very marbled and fatty and almost melts in your mouth. Honorable mention to the steamed egg that the meal comes with. Super fluffy and sweet!! They cook the meat for you and service is rlly good, they're super attentive when side dishes run low. Definitely will need a reservation! They offer 10% discount if you bring cash. Will be coming back again :)
Came here again yesterday. This time for lunch. Party of 4 and we ordered the large beef package, japchae and black cod. We were stuffed. Take the tiny elevator up in the old office building and you're immediately transported to a much classier restaurant than you'd expect. Service was great. This is one of the spots that cooks and serves you and our server was pleasant/ professional. Refills for banchan etc. came without asking. They let us know that their fluffy eggs etc were bottomless with our meal. Roughly $100/PP. Bring cash! They have a nice 10% cash discount.
A high end Korean bbq in the city that does the job of a) quality ingredients and high end service with traditional feel and taste, and b) elevated dining without the smokiness you can get at k bbq. Felt there was enough food and good variety. Was there for my daughter's birthday. I would recommend highly.
Came here for a celebration dinner and it did not disappoint! We ordered the small beef package and it was a good amount for 2 people. There were so many banchan and side dishes. They included a fluffy egg and kimchi stew for us. It's kind of hard to find, but once you find the building it's in, then you go up the elevator and you will find yourself in the restaurant. The tables were set up in little pods while someone was cooking the meat for you and refilling your drinks and side dishes. It definitely felt like a premium experience. The pacing of the meal was great too, nobody was rushing us so we were able to enjoy our food! The meat quality was beyond and definitely worth it. I would come here again and again!
A nice elevated KBBQ spot with full service, good quality meats, and great banchan! We got a small beef package to share, and it was actually enough food for 4 girls to share. There's free rice, stew, ssam, and steamed egg for the table so there's lots of other things to eat. The free ice cream at the end is also a great touch! The kimchi stew was a surprising favorite of mine. Service was great, and they refill things proactively so you don't even need to ask.
Celebrated a family member's birthday here and had a great time doing so! It's located on the third floor and there are two elevators available which probably only comfortably fit six people (max weight is 1500lb I believe). The servers are all so attentive with replenishing the side dishes, and our server/chef did a fantastic and efficient job grilling the barbecue for us. The machinery used is quite good at diffusing the smells from grilling so I didn't have the usual issue of coming home smelling like barbecue. The meats were all very nice quality and for a party of six, we left comfortably full after ordering the Nubiani set (which is only supposed to feed four), and two noodle dishes (japchae and spicy buckwheat). We also all received complimentary ice cream. An awesome thing is you get 10% off your order if you pay in cash (and there's an atm near the entrance).
Worth all the rave! My friend and I got the small beef package and it came with a great variety of meats and banchan. You also get steamed egg and a choice of kimchi jjigae or doenjang jjigae. The meat was good quality, rich, and flavorful. I really liked that they cook everything for you and guide you on what to pair each bite with. I know I would have definitely messed it up if I had to cook it myself. My only complaint is that parties of two can only get counter seating. It felt a bit tight since the banchan take up a lot of space. The soup from the party next to me was right on the edge and really close to my side, so I had to be careful not to knock it over and ended up sitting uncomfortably for most of the meal.
This Korean BBQ restaurant was so busy even on a Tuesday night which shocked me at first but with the service that we given the night of, I fully understood why. It did take a little while to get into our table for our reservation but it wasn't too long and I didn't mind it because they had a place to rest as we waited. The restaurant had a classy bar vibe with the dimmed lights and we also treated ourselves to a pack of free matches and a restaurant card. Once seated we ordered a couple of interesting dishes and were quickly greeted with the side dishes. We ordered the Seafood Pancake, the Salmon Kettle Hot Pot Rice, the Spicy Buckwheat Noodles and the Grilled Black Cod along with our barbecue meats. Out of these 4, the three of us really enjoyed the Grilled Black Cod, it was super tender which we were not expecting. This does not mean that we did not enjoy the other dishes as they were great as well. Not to mention the server mixed and served everything for us either into our plates or into little sharing bowls! The barbecued meats were also super delicious and tender. The server did take note that I was pregnant and even asked if we wanted our beef to be well done which I did ask for a small portion to be. This has been something I have been struggling with because I love medium rare beef but to my surprise, the beef was still juicy even when well done! Then we finished off with some complimentary ice cream which was vanilla soft serve topped off with a little bit of honey yuzu jam which was super refreshing after a hot meal! The meal was great and the service was impeccable as well!
Nubiani was my most luxurious BBQ dinner experience I've ever had by far! The entrance is through a stairway or elevator, but once you enter, the setting changes into an intimate area and glass walls of the building reveal the city buildings, which is so pretty at night! You experience the full-service cooking from the staff so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about burning your kbbq. The meat quality of our Large Beef Package was standard but since it was cooked and served to us, we enjoyed everything they way it's supposed to be served. Ordering a Beef Package or one meat item per person is quite a lot per person, though. We were extremely full by the end of our meal, and could've opted for less portions. The beef package comes with different types of short ribs and skirt steak. I believe we added brisket as we had a party of six. We had a kimchi stew and fluffy steamed egg for the sides. Green onion salad, bean sprout kimchi, and other pickled vegetables are served to enjoy with the meats. I also liked that they had fresh wasabi, which went really well with all the beef cuts. Attentiveness and attention to detail were the standouts for Nubiani. It is ideal for big parties, and the ambience is by far one of the nicest I've come across in terms of location. It was a great experience, and I'd recommend this if you're looking for more than your casual kbbq experience.
Party of 4 - reservations at 6.30 - Friday night plans. I didn't make the reservations but I guess it's a little tricky? Also, cash payment saves you around 10% so hit that bank before you go. Our group of four ordered the following and racked up a meal around $78 pp (not $200): Nubiani package Japchae Kimchi pancake I enjoyed (ish) how they cooked for us to ensure the meat was cooked properly and they were great at attentiveness and service. I just couldn't spill the tea with anything too hot. Additionally, the tables felt so far away and the restaurant was little dimly lit/loud so I also felt like I was yelling trying to discuss with my friends I was sitting across. Anyways - I enjoyed the first meat in the package (can't remember, it was beef) and the pork belly. The rice was kinda gummy and I liked the kimchi pancake. I thought what we ordered was plenty but next time maybe I'll order more meat in sub of the japchae. Great time, happy we went but no huge hurry to come back.

Holy! This was the best KBBQ I've ever had. The price is well worth the meat and service you get. Highly recommend reservations for 5 or more people and for dinner time at 5 PM or later. I made a reservation a month in advance for 4 people for a Sunday at 4 PM. The place is kind of hard to find as it's on the 3rd floor of a building. When we got in, there were only three other parties there. When we left, it was a different story! My friends and I shared the Nubiani package, a japchae, and a beef tartare. Once we placed the order, the bonchan's or small cold dishes that are complimentary came floating out throughout the table. The bonchan's here are on another level - some standard ones (like kimchi and broccoli with soybean and pickled onions) and some I've never seen before at other Korean restaurants like sweet potato with wine and a veggie with lime juice (I believe). The rice and perfectly sized lettuce wraps were free of charge too! The servers cooked the meats one at a time which gives us time to eat it fresh! The Nubiani package comes with beef rib eye, beef rib finger, beef boneless short ribs, pork belly, and pork seasoned shoulder butt. This was more than enough food for 4 people (if you're all not a big eater) along with two additional apps. Everyone's least favorite was the pork belly and everyone's favorite was one of the beef. I thought the pork seasoned shoulder was very flavorful and delicious too! Our package also comes with a soup and you have a choice of kimchi or soybean soup. We got the kimchi soup and it was good! The steamed egg was very good too but a bit saltier than I expected. The beef tartare comes in a nice bowl with a raw egg on the top as well as sliced pears. It was pretty good but I would probably not order it again since it wasn't anything special for me. The japchae was standard if not better. It was flavorful without being overly salty and came with a bunch of mixed veggies with my favorite being the thin sliced mushrooms. In the end, they even give complimentary icecream with Yuzu syrup on top. It was so good! Additionally, since we were celebrating my friend's birthday - hers had additional rainbow sprinkles and a candle! There are three restrooms in the back - a female, a male, and a unisex one. There was individually packaged mouthwash in the restroom as well as hand soap which was really nice after eating a big meal! The employees were all very friendly and helpful in answering questions and refilling our bonchans. Will definitely be back!! The only thing is bring cash for a discount!! read more
Nubiani is in my opinion, a top 3 NYC KBBQ spot. The service is incredibly professional yet it does not feel overly posh. The set for two is always more than enough for my gf and I. You can taste the quality in the meat and the care the servers make in preparing the meats. Muah Environment is also great for dates or small group hangouts. I've been and have remained a devout Yoon Haeundae Galbi gal but I needed to see the gospel that is Nubiani. I'll rapid fire this one but just know that Yoon is the barometer Nubiani: - banchan was good but Yoon is more traditional - kimchi soup was a touch too heavy on the fresh grated ginger - doenjang jjigae was good but Yoon's is richer - beef cuts were great but less tender than Yoon - actually has pork whereas Yoon does not - lettuce leaves were replenished without charge - complimentary vanilla soft serve with yuja marmalade was a plus - waitstaff does all the tableside cooking for you - dim dining room, average noise level, good presentation of food, younger but very respectful and knowledgable waitstaff - sparkling water from a carafe for the table was available read more

This is such a long overdue review for Nubiani. I feel like so many Korean bbq spots in ktown that are so similar. However, Nubiani surpasses my expectations every time I come. To start with the service, it's always been consistent, whether it's been a large party or small, service is on point. From explaining the menu to answering my questions, to knowing exactly when I need my bon chon refilled, they know exactly what to do. Now onto the food. The bon chon provided sometimes change, but everytime they've been a hit. They provide SO MANY kinds of bonchon, so I've never felt like I never had too little food. The quality of the meats are wonderful and cooked very well. I got to experience the grilled cod my last time here, and it was delicious. The cod along with the normal beef package was just enough for me and my boyfriend. While it's a bit pricier than the kbbq spots in the area, the quality of the food you get along with the service and the ice cream you get at the end makes you feel like it's worth it. I always recommend Nubiani to people, because it's just not your standard KBBQ spot in the city. Can't wait to come back here! read more

I came here for their lunch special menu (12pm-3pm). I got the pork ribs set which came with banchan, egg souffle, lettuce & gang dwenjang, a choice of soybean paste or kimchee stew, and ice cream. I also ordered the mushroom kettle hot pot rice. The set alone was enough; however, I really wanted to try their hot pot rice. The pork ribs, recommended by our waiter, were a good mix of sweet and savory. The meat quality was great! The best part of the service is they cook the meat for you so you can relax and enjoy the meal. The mushroom hot pot rice was one of the best I've ever had. The bottom of the rice was so crispy and our waiter seasoned the rice enough so that it was perfectly umami. It had a very generous portion of mushrooms. The restaurant itself has a nice aesthetic. The only con was that it was hard to have a conversation because it echoes a lot so my friend and I felt that it was difficult to hear each other over the other people conversing around us. Other than that, service was great and they were attentive at giving us refills for our banchan. Make a reservation before you come here even for lunch! I was able to make one on the same-day and got seated immediately! There was a slight wait for people who did walk-ins. read more
This really hit the spot for KBBQ cravings! The inside is very modern and clean which I appreciated. We started off with the squid and beef pancake, which was good, but not anything special. Sadly, no one liked the scallion salad... we would've loved a regular lettuce salad for sure though. The banchan was just alright, nothing we really wanted more of. This is probably where they were lacking in the most. For 3 people, we ordered the small beef package, which came with boneless short ribs OR rib eye (we chose ribeye), skirt steak, rib finger, and seasoned short ribs. It also comes with a choice of soybean paste or kimchi stew. My favorite part of the meal was the fluffy egg. Service was on point. We always had a waiter nearby, remembering to refill our banchan and water, and someone always cooking for us. Loved how they cooked the meat to perfection and served it to us. They had various sauces to try, and I did really like the sauce with the onion. Also the meat quality was great. Only downside is that prices are a bit extreme, but that's NYC for ya! read more
I came here for my friend's birthday and had a great time. Located in Koreatown, this is the original location for Nubiani and you have to be sure to book a reservation ahead of time, or you might not get a seat. Service here was good but I do think that the service at their second location in Midtown is much better (that was my first time at Nubiani). The ambiance here is a lot livelier and casual, in comparison to that location. With four people, we decided to do their Nubiani package as well as order their beef tartare, squid and beef pancake, and naengmyeon. Everything was delicious. The side dishes were solid, their meat quality was amazing, and their appetizers were great. I loved the birthday soft serve that they gave to my friend at the end, and their classic orange soft serve was delicious. Overall, amazing meal (but I am a bigger fan of their Midtown location). read more

First thing to note when we first sat down was that we were required to either order the large combination meat platter or order at least 4 à la carte meat dishes (for 4-person party). This information was not explicitly said at the time when reservation was made so I felt like this was falsely advertised + bad business dealing. (We later did not hear the server share this expectation with the newly seated party next to us, which makes me wonder why it is told to some parties and not others). Service was extremely rushed and when I brought it up to our waitress to slow down, there was no apology and she gave me a passive aggressive smile every time she asked if we were ready for the next meat to be grilled. Being from LA, I've had my fair share of kbbq and this one was definitely catering to non-Asians. They try to sell an upscale and western version of kbbq but their meat selection + service missed the mark and left a sour taste in our mouths. They have a vast selection of banchan and they replenish it when you're running low but they also replenish when you've only eat half of the plate so it feels a little wasteful. One banchan that stood out was the mashed sweet potato with red wine syrup, they were very generous in making sure we had enough of that to eat. We ordered the beef large package and most of the meats were galbi. The one-week marinated galbi tasted best in this combo set. At the end of the meal, we were given a yuzu soft serve ice cream but the thing that really left such a sour taste in my mouth was when we were just starting to eat our ice cream, the manager came by to tell us that we needed to leave because they needed to get ready for the next party. If we didn't need to wait for the kimchi jigae to come out (they forgot about our soup), and if we didn't need to wait for the ice cream to come out (waited for about 5-10 minutes after we told them we were ready for dessert), we would've probably left already. Like I said, they missed the mark on service immensely. I'm surprised at how many people recommend this place because I came for an experience and instead left feeling super unappreciated by my patronage. read more

Absolutely mind blown about the place. The quality, food, service, and the best restaurant experience in NYC! The small beef package was more than enough for two people and left us very full. The small beef package includes 4 different types of meat (boneless short rib or rib eye, skirt steak, rib finger, and seasoned short ribs). It also comes with 반찬 (banchan), 계란찜 (Gyeran-jjim/ steam egg), and you can pick either the 김치 찌개 (kimchi jjigae) or 된장찌개 (doenjang jjigae). I wish the 된장찌개 had a little more broth but nonetheless it was delicious! A very nice touch was the yuzu ice cream at the end. Heads up - you can get 10% off if you pay on cash. I understand the hype on Nubiani being the best KBBQ restaurant in NYC. Will be back and I'll be thinking about this meal! read more
Nubiani is my favorite kbbq place in all of NYC! I've basically been coming here once a year for the last 5 years or so and it's always been super consistent and never fails. First off, the service is absolutely top notch. This place will cook the meat perfectly for you so there's no need to stress about the timing or flipping. Not only that but they cut it up into perfect serving sizes and even "clean up" the meat, meaning they get all of the galbi off the bone for you but they also go so far as cutting off the little burnt edges. If that isn't next level service, then I don't know what is. The meat quality equals the service levels and the kitchen prepares the cuts and seasonings to enhance the flavor profiles to bring out the best. My favorite is always the gabli- I am happy to just do multiple orders of it paired with some steamed egg and the side dishes. Depending on the group size, we'll usually throw in some japchae and/or the seafood pancake. The place is spacious and great for groups. It's so welcoming once the elevator doors open and the hosts are quick to check in with you. This place is definitely a bit more upscale than most of the other options in ktown so also note that it's on the pricier side for a la carte. Lastly, you can grab your complimentary ice cream and I love that you don't come out totally stinking of bbq! Speaking of stinking, there's mouthwash in the restroom if you do feel a need to rinse out that bbq (but then again, why would you?!?!) read more

My friend brought us to one of her favorite upscale KBBQ spots, so I was excited to try it out. Nubiani's interior is modern and chic, with views of the K-town area! Our waitress recommended ordering a small package since it was just the three of us. The service was amazing! I loved: Small Beef Package: Comes with Boneless Short Ribs, Skirt Steak, Rib Finger, and Seasoned Short Ribs. It also includes a choice of stew (kimchi or soybean paste) and steamed egg. The beef was great quality! The kimchi stew was AMAZING--wow, this is such a hidden gem. The steamed egg had an incredible custard-like, fluffy texture! Shrimp Chive Pancake: Great portion size and super flavorful! They didn't skimp on the chives! Spicy Buckwheat Noodles: The broth was delicious and packed with flavor! The noodles weren't the bounciest, but they still had a good texture overall. I think this is now my favorite KBBQ spot! read more
Nubiani is my new fav korean bbq!! The decor is upscale and modern and the service was extremely efficient, attentive yet not intrusive. We ordered the beef package which comes with a super fluffy egg souffle, soybean stew and rice. All the different cut of beef were so juicy and tender and marinated perfectely. We also ordered the beef tartare, shrimp and chive pancake and the japchae and they were all extremely delicious. They dont have a desser menu but the package comes with soft serve icecream topped w a yuzu type jam which will leave you satisfied! Overall this place is a gem if you are looking for a more upscale bbq in ktown. Highly recommend! read more

Delicious as I remembered when we first came when they just opened. We came for lunch and ordered the small beef set and was stuffed leaving! We made a reservation and was seated upon arrival but the restaurant was getting packed as a lot of people were coming in for lunch as well. The banchans are better now and they keep refilling it for us which was appreciated. All the meats were cooked in front of us and was cooked perfectly every time! read more

Had a weekend dinner reservation for 2 people. Overall I think this place is worth checking out: way better than AYCE and food-wise on par with Cote (just the experience is slightly less elevated & trendy). Ambiance / Things to Consider: overall, ambiance is nice but also casual. You can come dressed in anything (sweats to super trendy). My direct comparison is Cote and this place feels a bit less elevated. If I was taking someone out for a nice dinner, I'd opt for Cote (though Nubiani is still nice). -They really do hold you to the table times (2 people = 90 minutes). So make sure you arrive on time. It almost felt a little rushed. -If you pay with cash, 10% off the bill. There's an atm inside the restaurant. Food: recommend ordering one of the packages. I ordered the Beef Small Package (with boneless short rib - wonderfully marbled & tender). Lots of good banchan and sides come with the meal (choice of stew & egg soufflé & ice cream for dessert). You won't leave hungry. Another difference between this & Cote is they don't ask you how you prefer your meat cooked. But overall it was fine. read more
Came here to try out the lunch special. Got the spicy pork which you need to get minimum two servings. It was really good and all the side dishes were pretty good too. Would definitely come here again for their cuts and kbbq. The complimentary icecream was also really good. I enjoy the orange sauce with the icecream and overall had a great experience. read more

In typical New York fashion you have to go up a small 3 person max elevator to this huge restaurant. The food was amazing and the sides were even better in my opinion. I can't stop thinking about the cold noodles and the soybean paste soup! The service and gentleman who cooked our meat was fantastic. He was attentive and even considerately cut up the meat to the pieces of people we have. I like this play so much better than Cote! I would come back next time I visit NYC. read more

Amazing service, they wait for you to almost finish your meat and then cook the next batch so that every piece you eat is fresh and not cold! The souffle egg came out first and the texture was amazing. I would say the best souffle egg I've had in awhile. The banchan was also plentiful and I really enjoyed the scallion salad. Overall, the restaurant had a nice interior and the bar seating was pretty room-y for what it was. I would definitely come back on a special occasion! read more
This will now be one of my favorite spots in ktown! Located on the 3rd floor of this busy street, it's definitely slept on. Highly recommend making a reservation, as it is quite busy here. The service has been amazing since we first stepped through the doors and staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Our group ordered one of the beef packages and it was enough food for their recommended size. Pancake and stew were really good as well. Just FYI they have a strict eating time, as they have multiple booked reservations and they do charge a cake fee (but they provide nice utensils/plates). read more
Exceptionally good experience yesterday for a late lunch. A memorably delicious meal that puts a smile on my face even a day later. I am half Korean and have grown up eating plenty of Korean food. This place is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to for any type of food. Easily top 3. The expectations were high and the place still over-delivered. The service, quality of meat, portions, and overall dining experience were all 5/5. Was just my wife and me, and we got the small beef package and also added the pork belly. The kalbi and the ribeye stood out as excellent. The pork belly was incredible! We ordered probably too much food since my wife doesn't eat a ton of meat so I had the fortune of stuffing my face with some of the best Korean bbq'd meat I have ever had. The banchan was also excellent. Service was friendly, prompt, and also not overwhelming-- the best combination. I highly recommend coming to this place. We came here on a sunday so it was pretty busy, but it didn't stop the staff from being attentive and friendly when they explained their table system. We had a cake but unfortunately they have a cake fee of $30 so we just left it in their fridge until we finished. There is an eating time of 1.5 hr for everyone so I recommend everyone to be there before being seated. We ordered the Nubiani Package which has some of everything (beef and pork) and every piece was nice and tender - it was more than enough to share among 4 people! They are very generous with the side dishes and we ordered a sake that tasted dry and light and paired well with the bbq meats. We also ordered the perilla oil noodles, which are my favorite at any korean restaurant so I highly recommend! At the end of the meal, they give you a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream with orange sauce which was delicious! read more
This was my first nicer kbbq experience and I could definitely tell the difference! I enjoyed the ambiance and my bf and I got a counter seat. We had a wide variety of banchan (celery, onions, mushrooms, kimchi, sweet potato paste, steamed egg!!!, salad etc) that we could get refilled. The small beef package came with ribeye, short rib, skirt steak, and rib finger. We loved the variety in the meats and it was plenty for the two of us. The meats were carefully and expertly cooked by the staff. We finished off the meal with complimentary cups of ice cream with a citrus glaze that was the perfect end to the meal. Lunch special was a great option for two of us. The pork belly was delicious and came with a lot of sides. Very full by the end and had leftovers. Staff is super nice and the whole place is really clean with an upscale vibe. read more
The bbq at Nubiani is a consistently excellent experience. The large beef or pork package is great for 3-4 people, or get the Nubiani package if you want a combo of both. The appetisers are very large and great for sharing. Meats are cooked wonderfully and are delicious, same with the steamed egg, banchan, stews, and the dessert. The only challenges are that you may have to wait a bit of time for your table as the place gets really busy (part of the vibe), and sometimes the service can be a little bit cold/casual. read more

Meat here was really yummy! My boyfriend and I shared the small beef combo, and it was around $205 total with an added beef and squid pancake. We were both full afterwards. The workers here cook the meat in front of you and are each assigned a table, so there's no chance of getting your meat over cooked. The meat was all pretty tender and flavorful compared to a lot of KBBQs in the city. The price wasn't too bad either as the ambience made it a nice date spot. I enjoyed all the meat except the sweet marinated cut that came in the package. The steamed egg was also delish. The beef and squid pancake sucked. I do not recommend it. This is an instant top of top places I've ever eaten. Although this year has just begun. THIS one is going to be hard to beat! The large Beef combo is a perfect amount for 4. Just enough where you don't feel overly stuffed. Don't forget all the complimentary sides you get! The Squid/Beef Pancake was also good. To better understand it's not MIX. They just make half squid and half beef. Incase anyone needs to know. The Seafood Naeng Chae has a kick for you non-spicy eaters out there. Not so much as spicy hot but more refreshing/wasabi vibes. Don't forget to get the egg as well! The exploding steam egg is plus to the meal that you'll be having. The grillmen were at a professional level. Every meat that was cooked was made to perfection. The cut, the grill, the sear was top level. They also explain to you the cut and what sauce that goes well with it. Service was at another level. It's not your typical "how was your meal?" But more so catering to your needs when you need a drink or refills of any sides you may want. You get your own privacy with your groups so they won't hover over you like other places waiting for you to order more. This is a great spot for dates, small groups but make sure to call and make reservations if you're deciding to come end of week or weekends. It will get packed ! I recommend weekdays if possible. Even so still make the reservation. Overall, this is a higher end kind of place where you're going get the best cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. Located on the 3rd floor in a rather anonymously looking office building but as you step out from the elevator and into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a modern ambiance, with stylish décor that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The beef combo for 2 was more than enough especially with the delicious bonchon to accompany your meat as their wonderful staff grills it in front of you. Always a good time at Nubiani and has basically become our go to place when we're craving KBBQ in the city. We had a reservation for a weekend lunch and got seated on arrival. Service is always great with a great team who is always making sure we have everything we need. The meat itself is great too. Always leave very cell and very satisfied with the meal. Portions are good and the meat is cooked the way we like. Side dishes and the complimentary ice cream at the end always helps too. It's a nice and clean spot on the second floor in K Town. Amazing service and perfect place for a date night dinner if you get one of the counter seatings since my bf and I like sitting next to each other as opposed to sitting across. We opted for the small beef package with short rib and omg every piece was so yummy and complemented all the side dishes. The lettuce wraps were fresh and the soybean stew was not too spicy and hearty. We really enjoyed the steamed egg and I appreciated the soft serve at the end. We were so full and satisfied. I also appreciated the free refills of the sides and they lit a candle for the sprinkle soft serve for my bf's bday. CHEF'S KISS!!! Lowkey better than Cote. Can be hard to find but you have to enter in the 315 building right on the corner up to the third floor. The sign is not noticable so it took us awhile to find. The experience, quality, and taste was amazing. Reservations def recommended!! Our server set up our table nicely too so we could get good instagram pics LOL. We got the Small Beef Package which wasn't a bad split between 4 people. We were filled just the right amount from the protein and loved the soup and banchan. I would totally come back. You don't leave smelling like KBBQ either since the smoke gets sucked from around the grill. read more

For a group of 4 people, does the restaurant require you to order a large meat package or a meat dish per person or can we order a small meat package and some non meat dishes? (Not everyone in our group are big meat eaters)
No. I order fish and vegetables.
When you go make a reservation it says counter table. Does that mean you have to sit on a high chair not facing your partner?
So the term counter here is kinda deceptive, it's not like a bar counter, it's their table with the grill essentially. You will be sitting at a waist high table with seating on both sides so you can sit across from your partner if you prefer.
Good for kids.?
If your kids like to eat, yes. It's fancier and it takes time to enjoy. My kids are 10+ and they loved it
Is there music / are there speakers in the restaurant?
Yes to both! It can be pretty loud most nights like any other Korean bbq spot.
Do they have tables for four or are all tables communal?
They do! The communal type seating is only on the left side (from entrance) of the restaurant and back bar area. All other tables can accommodate 4 or more
