This is a nearby AYCE chinese buffet. I've come here a couple of times during lunchtime, which the price was pretty decent around $15 for the amount and selection of food. It's a standalone building with plenty of parking. It's a very clean place. They had plenty of staff to clean off the tables when you finish eating your plates of food. It's your typical Chinese buffet luncheon. You can also to take out full up your To go container and they weigh it. Besides the hot food stations, they also have a sushi roll station, ice cream station, pastry cookies station, fresh assorted fruit station, salad station, everything looks fresh and they keep the food stations clean from spilled food and quick to replace with food when trays are low. There's plenty of hot foods to choose from fried chicken wings, beef green peppers, to big barbecue ribs and they have plenty of vegetable dishes like sautéed garlic green beans, sautéed broccoli, and cauliflower. They also have a hibachi station where you can choose your raw items from meats to fresh vegetables and have it cook fresh to order. The host is friendly and the staff is friendly. There's also unlimited drinking fountain of Pepsi products and hot coffee. My favorite items here are their fried chicken wings, sesame seed balls with sweet red bean paste, Jell-O, fresh pineapple, their rice noodles, a half shell scallop with baked chopped seafood on top, grilled bone in pork chops, you can get your drink anytime you want at the fountain station vs waiting for staff to refill your drinks. I wish they had chop stick near the utensils area or at least some near the Sushi roll station unless I didn't see them offering it. The women's bathroom is clean but need an upgrade. The place does get busy during noon lunch rush-hour which is good food turnaround. For the price is good I wish they had more seafood selections like fried calamari, Manila clams,etc. unless they offer more seafood selection at dinner time i'm assuming a higher price (check their website if they still you what they are serving. Overall, this is a good place to eat for lunch if you like a wide selection of food to eat. I definitely would come back here again. read more

I love this place. Me and my friend always go every 4 months. Food is good. I like the fish dishes and the chicken/beef.

I really enjoyed the buffet, I filled my plate three times. There's good food selection. This is a better Chinese buffet in the area. This is probably a three star, but since I haven't found a buffet as T compared to the rest, I gave it a four. If you are a buffet type of a person. And are looking for a Chinese buffet, I would recommend you try this before you try the others. I'm still waiting for a real good buffet in the area. But I don't think there are any. read more

I have gone to a lot of chinese buffets. Some really bad and some that I would rate edible. Some I would rate good. What I look for is cleanliness, selection and if they replenish the food to keep it fresh. Honestly this place had a good selection of dishes. The workers were constantly replenishing the food and it was clean. I will go again in the next few days to see if this was only happening because it was a busy Saturday or if the selection service and food is always treated this way. But for my first time I rate this place 4 stars. Hopefully it stays the same on my next visit. read more

The food was terrible, the rice and soup smelled horrendous almost rancid. The selection was minimal the shrimp literally disintegrated into my hands. The french fries and potstickers were harder than the rock of Gibraltar. I can see why you must pay before you eat, I was very surprised to see others dining in the restaurant. They have a good food and diverse options for all ages. Especially chicken nuggets and fried for those young picky kids. Bathrooms are not nice at all. Stall doors are filled with graffiti and leaks leaks on floors are common. They have very nice workers there that check up on you and refill your drink. Some of the heat laps may not be fully working as some of the food is cold. I wouldn't come here again, but it was not a bad experience. read more

This is by far one of Northlake's little gems. I've read plenty of reviews and I had to check it out for myself and let me tell you I enjoyed my meal I was still full almost 2.5 hours later. I tried everything on the menu and even the hibachi. The price for dinner is affordable and has its perks. I am a very picky eater so I took my time , trying out each item. The only drawback that I could see was the lack of passion from staff when it came to changing the trays. Items like the Mac and cheese , teriyaki chicken on a stick , and fried fish portions all looked a little bleak. The only negatives I have for this place were the portions were made not according to amount of diners thus having a lot of colder or non eatable items. The bathroom faucet fell out when I washing my hands. Overall I appreciate the service and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant and hope it can only improve. To management: my only suggestion would be to help your cooks to make smaller portions to keep food cost low. It may require them to cook more often if business picks up but they can get more bonuses by saving on food waste. ENJOY!!!!!!! read more

This place is the worst buffett I have ever been to. Old rancid food. Zero quality or clenliness, Little selection, meat trays are always empty, people standing around waiting for food to be replenished, staff begs for tips. Lots of choices to pick from however I noticed a lot of the food isn't hot. I'm not sure if the heat lamps aren't working well as most of the food seemed to be room temperature or even cold. Because of this some of the food items didn't taste as good in my opinion. I tried as many items as possible the only food that seemed best was a spicy chicken dish which was slightly warm in temperature though I'm not sure what it was called as nothing is labeled. They do have friendly staff but I'm not sure if I'll be back as I didn't enjoy the food as much as I was hoping to :( read more

First thing I noticed was this establishment is clean. When entering, you pay before you sit and or grab food. Keep in mind this place is All You Can Eat! Establishment has food for everyone. The Food: the biggest and only thing I took from this afternoons feeding was, there is a lot of food that was cold. It seems like they didn't have enough food for the rush. They hoped that their steam tables would get the food warmed up quicker than people coming to grab. I'm sure this is a huge No, No. I don't work for the food and health department, but I personally know cold food that supposed to be hot is a huge No, No. Moving on, I'd highly recommend you attacking the Teppenyaki station. Everything is made on a big griddle. Takes about 5 minutes to fully cook. Note: everything was tasty for what was hot. Tremendous value for just under $20; some of the Asian ladies there are really nice, others seem like they've encountered had a lot of trouble. Luckily, I asked nicely about a few select items, & they helped me out. Just take 3-4 $1s with you & reward good service across the host & plate clearers. It's an interesting location between some of the few Walmarts/Sams in the same shopping plaza where there plenty of options to burn off them grunt-grunt oink-oink nuevo & viejo cerdo calories. Luckily it's peace & quiet for the most part & none of that bizarre & sappy mariachi music. But let me tell you want is amazing about this place, granted they just have to go dine themselves at Royal Schaumburg/Downers Grove, Elgin Bufett, & China House in De Kalb, so they can compare & contrast & enhance & improve further or just see my other reviews & pix. It's the prepared seafood - large pieces of fish, oysters/sauce with rice, & sour bamboo/mushroom soup, plus the calamari, crawfish, & crab/shrimp 's ok; I didn't even have to worry about the fresh hibachi (probably too oily & overcooked), other waddle carbs, or non-seafood gristle items, or even jello dessert, though picking at it when I'm super hungry wasn't necessarily terrible. Sorry I didn't have pictures, yet; on weekends when it's crowded, it gets cramped & messy, but I doubt it's filthy & grimy, much easier on weekdays to relax except this one middle eastern couple decided to have a loud conversation on their speakerphone in arabic & I couldn't figure out how to diffuse the situation so they got the point, but what are you going to do? Literally do not come here. I got up to go get myself a drink after 5 mins of being there one of the ladies who was watching everyone serve themselves food came up to me running for a tip.. I was confused since I was just filling up my cup... why would she need a tip for something I'm doing? I told her in a confused look " I'm just grabbing soda. Do I need to tip you for that?" She proceeded to pull out a bunch of receipts and was like " which one is yours?" And pointing on the stack of receipts in her hand... I said " I paid cash." Then she kept pointing on the tip line of the receipt expecting me to write something on someone else's receipt. When I said no she kept asking for a tip. I filled up my cup and ignored her. Notice the cooking utensils stored in stagnant dirty water. Notice the tongs stored dirty on the unclean grill. Notice the dirty grill. Notice the buildup of food debris, oil, and filth in the crevices. Notice the dirty hand sink that employees are using to "clean" utensils. Utensils are supposed to be washed, rinsed, and sanitized at least every 4 hours...you can't do that at a hand sink. Notice there are no paper towels in the paper towel dispenser. Notice the dirty mop and broom handles that employees are touching, and then not washing their hands because they stored dirty dishes in the hand sink that is solely for handwashing and also have no paper towels. Notice the pile of dirty dishes, why aren't they stored in the kitchen near the three compartment sink or dishwasher. Notice the bleach and vinegar bottles stored on bottom shelf that is a chlorine gas emitting reaction waiting to happen. Notice the food that is stored in the metal multi-use bin, it is not under refrigeration...how much listeria, salmonella, etc is growing in there....and this is JUST the hibachi area...this place makes you PREPAY..so please take this as a warning DO NOT COME HERE!... read more

Good selection of foods, good prices, clean all around. Friendly staff. If you are there between hours you might be able to get the dinner items which included a shrimp dish that looked good with some veggies. Food was mild and the service was not great at all. We paid before sitting down and eating and after I was done eating, I was chased down by the workers on the floor yelling that we needed to tip. For customers that aren't financially good and already paid $40 for two at the door, it was quite rude and uncalled for to be chased out and scolded. Tipping is great when you have extra to give but it shouldn't be expected. I would not be eating here again after that rude encounter, and I will definitely look elsewhere to eat. read more

You swat yourself, and drink are included in entrance price. The selection of food was a bit strange. Nothing I had was bad though. (Note: the picture I attached is not necessarily representative of the food there. I was having a weird day for what I wanted to eat.) the buffalo wings were amazing. Hot and sour soup was standard. All of the stir fries were fairly standard. They had nearly whole sections of deep fried tilapia, a sushi arrangement with vegetarian rolls included, spicy seafood soup with whole shrimp, mashed potatoes, fried dumplings-- it was an array. Drinks included Pepsi products, horchata, mango juice, fruit punch, hot tea, and possibly coffee. It's really an experience. And since you paid when you came in, when you are done you can just leave. No fuss. That being said, it is in kind of a weird location for me coming from Lombard/Oak Brook Terrance area. Driving there is somewhat awkward. I would be willing to go again if I was in the area, but I'm not sure it would be worth it to me to navigate that area on a regular basis. read more

I went on a Sunday when the buffet was VERY well-stocked with seafood. If you're the kind of person who feels no shame in loading your plate with nothing but peel-n-eat shrimp and mussels, you'll fit in here. If you want more of a traditional buffet, go during the week where it's probably cheaper. Really good selection of food, with plenty of choices. There's even a raw food section where they'll cook your food to order like a Mongolian grill, but the selection is kinda limited. Avoid the egg rolls - they're completely plain with only cabbage inside. Really good chicken dishes, gyoza, lo mein, and garlic green beans more than made up for that, however. I would not recommend Nuevo, the Food served is cold and when called out the staff will fight back and create drama over it but won't do anything about it. The staff is VERY rude and will always give you dirty looks and the second you get up to leave they will chase you for tips and I have seen them force others to tip. The ambiance is just average and the restrooms are dirty,filthy and smell awful like they have never been cleaned. For this high price buffet I would NOT recommend going here. read more

I've tried to eat here twice.The first time I looked at the buffet before paying the buffet fee. The dinner price did not warrant the asking price...everything on the bar was CHEAP. The second time I went I told the woman behind the register that I wanted to see what's on the lunch bar before paying, and she responded with an obvious attitude! Her demeanor was nasty! The food is ok I guess. Some of it is cold. The big thing here is the staff. The service was good at the cashier but the waitresses were RUDE. My toddler is autistic and she was yelling at him because he had dropped a few oranges. Then she brooms the dirty carpet while you are eating and brooms your feet with the dirty broom. And as we were leaving she started yelling "NO TIP???GIVE ME TIP" WHERE THE TIP?" Really loudly. And she started to yell at me because she wanted me to put the baby chair back.
