Received our order with out any mustard. Immediately called the restaurant and was told you must ASK for mustard. Have ordered from them for years never had to specifically ask for mustard. First call at 6:04. Was put on hold without a responses. Called on second phone finally spoke to manager. Stated They had no drivers. We are 10 minutes from the restaurant. It is now 7:00 and although promised the delivery of the mustard now one has arrived. Third call to restaurant at 6:45 and manager stated driver will be there in 10 minutes. Sour is not the sour I expect so had a few bites with concerns and threw away. Egg roll took on fried chicken taste likely from the oil. We stopped in for the first time and had a lovely meal. I ordered the egg foo young, my honey had the Mongolian beef, and we shared the crab rangoons -- everything was genuinely delicious, and the hot tea was soothing. The dining room is simple, but the real heart of the place is the owners, Bing and Ting Ting. Their kindness and warm welcome made us feel at home. As we were leaving I said, "See you soon," and Bing answered, "See you tomorrow," which made us laugh and sealed the feeling that we'll be back. Would we return? Absolutely. Excellent Chinese food and really, really quick! I have been here three times for lunch within a couple of weeks. Once, I was passing through the area, checked Yelp for ideas, and this one was highly recommended. I had the Mongolian beef lunch special that comes with fried rice and an egg roll. It was so tasty, I took the 24 minute drive to pickup again two more times. On the latest trip I went with the shrimp in lobster sauce which was also good. If I lived near here, I fear I'd come here too often. I'm not too picky about pricing, but $11.00 for a meal like this is a real bargain. read more

This is by far the worst experience of a couple recent bad experiences from Rose's. Today's issue was extremely greasy and dry chicken fried rice, that was lacking chicken. To my surprise the sweet and sour chicken was saturated in oil. It's as if the oil wasn't hot enough when frying with chicken fried rice sized chicken pieces that they included. Beware! Unfortunately, their promotional offers and coupons are misleading. After placing a $100 order, they refused to honor my coupon for a free item. Came here after an attempt down the street at another Chinese cuisine, but they had no indoor dining available. The owner came out, very friendly, and chatted with us for nearly ten minutes. Gave us recommendations, told us his history of being a chef for a big chain in downtown Chicago 5 years prior to opening this location in 2019. Prices are a bit high, but expected with being so close to the airport and being in Crook County. Food came out fast, very hot! The taste was excellent and the portions were on the larger side. I would highly recommend this small family owned business if you're in the area! read more

I've only eaten at Rose Chinese restaurant once and tried two dishes. Combination fried rice and shrimp and lobster sauce. The rice was good , good favor and not oily. It took me two days to finish it. The shrimp and lobster sauce was decent tasting, the gravy was thick and their was a enough shrimp in the dish. I ordered my dishes spicy and it really wasn't spicy enough for me. Other then that roses was good and I may try it again. read more

Holy moly, the people behind this place are ADORABLE! My boyfriend took me here today, as we needed something quick, and they remembered him and were just SO excited to meet me! Wow...there's zero good customer service. When they take your order, it seems like they are shouting at you and it seems like they don't like to see you. If first impression is bad like that, you tend to make the assumption that the food is bad as well. Another weird thing it that they have different price for dine in and take out. WTF? This is the first time in my dining experiences that restaurant has two different sets of menu. But food was good. I ordered Singapore Noodle in medium and the food was good. This is in my opinion the best Chinese food in the area. I drive out 15-20 minutes to get food from here even though there are plenty of places located closer to me. The food is never super greasy as with other places and is always tasty and filling. The store owners are always at the front of the store and they are always so sweet and funny. This restaurant also has seating, so there is the option for eating there or take out. read more

I've been getting take-out from Roses for 2-3 years now. The only time I was at all disappointed was the one time that they forgot the Schechuan Green beans (which are excellent, btw.). We've been ordering here long enough to have explored their menu a bit and everything we've tried has been very tasty, and of generous portions. Service has been very warm and welcoming -- I believe that they appreciate my business as much as I appreciate their product. I have no idea how they get the food so hot... it's still hot after a 15-minute drive back home. Their prices are a bit higher comparatively, but you are getting two meals. A 'large' order is enough for two people... twice. One note: the dishes marked 'Spicey' on their menu are obviously aimed at a baseline -- they have a bit of zing, but aren't 'hot'. If you want extra spicey, just ask; they can turn it up as high as you'd like. read more

I come to Chicago for work about a couple times every other month and stay near the airport and usually get something from Rose's bc their food is consistent, yummy and portions are great, plus it's on the cheap side! And lastly, fast service. Egg drop soup is really good, although wish it came with some fried crisps or crunchies (? not exactly sure what other places call them haha). I'm pretty basic so I've had their fried rice, low mein and sweet and sour chicken, all to-go. Their owners are friendly too! read more

Amazing food almost speechless. Crab Rangoon literally the best ive had hands down. The Mongolian chicken was so moist it melts in your mouth and the flavor was incredible. I don't really know if this place deserves 2 stars, but I'll give it to them since the people have been friendly and the smoothies are fine. When we first moved into the area the neighbors said, "Go to Hoy's not Rose's". Of course in the process of moving in, exhaustion, starvation, and lack of groceries, convenience won out. Rose's was a closer walking distance, so we picked up food from there. A couple of times. Each time I was convinced they gave me the wrong order. But upon checking their menu board, it was indeed how they made the dish. Ok cool, everyone has their own take on things. Their food is the epitome of greasy, syrupy, Chinese food. You know how sometimes Chinese food will get gelatinous after it cools down or sits in the fridge? With Rose's, it's already like that while hot. Imagine the brick of goop that's there once it hits leftover stage. We tried quite a few things, the most memorably bad being the General Tso's chicken, which I usually love. You kind of force yourself to eat it, so you didn't completely waste your money. I didn't get sick, so that's a positive. It's just gross. To be fair, I'm not a huge noodle dish person, and judging by the pictures posted here, the noodle dishes seem to be a favorite. So maybe they shine more in that area. I wouldn't waste any more money to find out though. If you were forced to eat here, I'd go with fried rice and a smoothie, because those were safe. But I would recommend Hoy's instead. Pad Thai and Subdragon are also very good, but not Chinese. read more

After we moved to Bensenville, we tried a couple of Chinese restaurants in the area. Their food was either too greasy or too bland. Until we tried the Rose's. Their food by far is the best choice of Chinese food in the area. Unlike most of American Chinese food which all tastes similar, you can actually taste different flavors from different dishes at Rose's.
