Manager Lexi Dess Alison Took my call when I was at home arranging to have some of that incredible clam chowder that I serve there. Whenever my daughter visits that chowder and the garlic bread are her 2 favorite things in the world and she gets what she wants. Miss Lexi His very customer service focused. I was impressed by her Ability to remember details as she remembered my call and reserved a couple quarts of the chowder for me. That was very thoughtful ever and the employees were aware that I was coming for it which was a plus. Walking around the store you know she spends a lot of time to detail on having everything look presentable clean clear aisles and stocked shelves. I didn't see any outs on the shelf at all. All the departments had very friendly approachable people willing to let you sample or look at the products. I always enjoy when I'm in marine county swinging into this store because I know I get the old fashioned kind of grocery Customer experience. It's only 5 minutes off the freeway and totally worth driving to with plenty of parking. Including handicapped barking of course. If you go in there you're going to Fine thanks to you also won't find another story because they are somewhat of a specialty place. Every employee that I had contact with in the store was more than willing to help me with a smile.

Lots of things to choose from. I come here specifically because the real pie company in Sacramento offers a selection here. Beats driving up to Sac. The selection was a little limited but I didn't leave empty handed.

Mill Valley Market has been operating since 1929 and they are still family run . This is their 4th generation! We came to get their sandwiches and boy did they deliver. Ordered 2 vegetarian, chicken chipotle, Thanksgiving turkey and got jerk chicken from the hot foods buffet! They are way better than Whole Foods fyi! Great quality and freshest taste ! Delicious food and great service ! Love supporting our local gems and they nourished us with love! They also have a fish and meat market ! And a full grocery store plus a ln amazing wine selection and hot and cold buffet! Will be back!!

The $14.99 sandwich was pre-cut and full of thick pieces of steak. There was a ton of arugula and pickled red onion. This was a very good homemade tasting sandwich of great quality. The market itself is pretty low key, very dense and small. It has everything you need but it doesn't have the produce that I would normally get at a Whole Foods or Good Earth. The service was good and it was very convenient to go to. We will definitely come back to get sandwiches here whenever we have a picnic nearby. It was convenient. The redwood park nearby did not disappoint.

Their purple cabbage slaw & focaccia were the best to me, and the wine of course! My husband and I decided to give this spot a try after getting many rave reviews not only on yelp but on Eater SF (or maybe it was SFGate?). Anyway, we arrived around an hour before close, most places in this area close at 9pm btw. We were greeted by the host who walked in from near the kitchen area. We decided to sit outdoors since the weather was pleasant. We found a table for two near the projector showing a muted black and white film on the brick wall. The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The complimentary focaccia really pushed us over the edge. I would definitely come back to try their pizzas!

I was first introduced to Palmetto at a Yelp event and, since then, have become a repeat customer at numerous locations. Their Corte Madera location is lovely! The shop itself is on the smaller side, with one bench to sit at inside, but that's all good since it's more of a takeout business. It's bright inside, and the atmosphere is welcoming. You order at the counter, watch them make your creation, and pick it up when it's done! They also offer mobile ordering. Service is always fantastic from everyone I've encountered! Since I work in Marin and got my coworker hooked, we sometimes stop by for açaí before or after work. There are so many options for either signature or build-your-own bowls! I've been trying each signature bowl. This go around, I tried their Bom Dia A.M Breakfast Bowl in a size small. This was so delicious! I loved the fresh fruit, the texture of all the toppings, how rich and creamy it was, and the sweet yet refreshing taste. The smalls are always so filling for me, so I struggle to finish. Definitely keep that in mind! If I go any larger, I'm usually sharing with someone! I'd definitely order this again, but I have also loved everything I've tried. So happy that Palmetto is continuing to branch out and is successful in Marin. Glad to continue supporting them, especially since they're on my commute route! Find them on the Town Center side near Pacific Catch and across Five Little Monkeys. Free parking all around!

I remembered a place on Jackson Street that I had gone to 5 years ago that had a tremendous selection - looked it up on Yelp and it was no longer on Jackson, but was listed in Castro Valley. So we went thought we'd go by and give it a try. Great decision! The "new" store in Castro Valley is much brighter, cleaner, nicer than the old location. I think the old location had more stuff from Eastern Europe, but this new location seems to have a broader selection, with more stuff from Western Europe and the Middle East. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful - always willing to answer questions and even give tips on how to use the products that they sell. And his recommendations have been great - we asked him about which tahini and zaatar to get (they have many different brands/types of each...) and the ones he recommended have been way tastier than any of the brands that you find in most markets. Especially good was his recommendation on lebnah - he said that the brands they carry are all good, but they have some that they package in-house that was special. I tried it - it was less expensive than the other brands, but was the very best lebnah that I have ever tasted! Richer, creamier, with just the right amount of tang. Wonderful stuff! Anyway, Crossroads is a nice, clean, well-lit place with a great selection of unique products, and friendly, knowledgeable sales staff. Well worth a trip!
